    The LC is sick! That suspension crushed it on the SCAR. I’ve been really impressed with all of Iron Man 4x4s stuff.

    I’m trying to get my 97 LC, the rust bucket, back in decent shape. It’s a journey for sure. These videos certainly help

    I think the 91 and 92 80 series had the battery on the right side too so people can look at those years if they want to order it. I just got mine but use it for extra storage in the front...not for a dual battery. For most people doing that lift there are a couple of things that you might have to do like extended brake lines, breather tubes and extended swaybar links and possibly caster correction. ...just FYI for those thinking about it.

      Good looking out. I agree some of those things are a must if you go over 2-3'' of lift.

    🤘🏽 that’s a SIGNIFICANT lift man! We’reall too familiar with the install day hiccups but love the customer service opportunity it provides. Ran into Matt at Jeep beach. His new trailer is wild 🤙🏽

    Great video man. Very informative. I am looking for a good lift for my 80. This might be the one to go for! Enjoyed the scar series as well. Good stuff

    you don't need spring compressors to do springs on an 80 especially on a lift lol. just need leverage.

    Awesome video dude. I’m currently running the Ironman4x4 medium springs with nitrocharged shocks. Holding up great, hope to upgrade to foam cell like yours!

    great trucks!! have a question for you. with the springs and the cell pros, did you have to swap or adjust your drive shaft in the front? what about the caster bushings? changed them? thanx. I have a 97, looking to replace the original suspension, but don't really know what to get.

    • @BeavBrodie1
      @BeavBrodie1  Рік тому

      Hey thanks, great questions. I did not have to replace anything because of the lift. 2.5” is very mild. At 4”+ you would want to consider replacing other components because the geometry will start to change. With that said you may have components that need to be replaced due to age and wear. Hope this was helpful.

    Love your videos brother very informative! I decided to leave the Jeep world and jump into my first fzj80 . I was wondering with the 2.5 lift do you have to do any caster adjustments?

    • @BeavBrodie1
      @BeavBrodie1  Рік тому +1

      Thanks, Jesse. No camber adjustment is necessary at 2.5'' but you would want to if you did more of a lift than that. Hope this was helpful.

    Beav, I have a 94 80 series the same color as yours. I went with Ironman4x4 2'' lift. Starting install this weekend. Did you have issues with stuck bolts or stripped threads? Going to soak everything in PB Blaster. Any issues with new bushings on lower control arms? That's the part that concerns me. It's a one shot deal.

    • @BeavBrodie1
      @BeavBrodie1  2 роки тому

      No issues with anything rusted/stripped. I also didnt replace any of the control arms. Just springs and shocks. I’ll do mine in the next phase of things.

    Man the number of times I almost died in my youth with spring compressors. Rite of passage for sure. Sorry about the shipping mixup, that sucks.
