Just finished building it, although I'm a bit scared about the back panel stressing the upper part of the build. Otherwise, a really nice model, thanks for the alt!
@@SuperR5 thank you for giving me the step, this shows that there are no bend on 1x12s, as one can't bend pieces on studio. This gets me thinking why your ones are bending down, please check that the pin hole plates are on the right locations on the backpanel(step 50), or make sure there are two pieces of 2x2 plates below the dark red1x2 single stud plates (step 46)
@@wurgerbricks Alright, I've done many checks, and rebuilt it once, and I came with a conclusion : if I compare both of the white 2x10 for the base and the two 1x12 for the roof, I can see that they're not perfectly parallel, there's a very tiny curve somewhere
The animation makes it too hard to see what is what with the sides even though I have it slowed down. PLEASE make a free version. The angle makes in impossible.
This is really great but I don’t really want to spend money on the instructions so I used the animation but I just can’t get the side walls of the gunship done it’s too confusing I’ve been trying for 5 days now does anyone know how they are built?
built this more than half-a-year ago after seeing an advertisement on reddit (iirc). your build is so pretty, compact, perfect, but it's so delicate and fragile. it's like a flower. i lost the 4x6 angle/bow brick on the top of the shop, so i had to replace it with spare parts and i couldn't be happier with how it turned out. at the same time, i also adjusted the middle ceiling of where the carried troops stand so their heads would stop hitting the pieces there. again, ecstatic with the final edit. although it can sometimes be a pain to pick up and play with, adjust the minifigs i have displayed on it, your gunship is phenomenal. i really, really, really love it. thanks

@@wurgerbricks i should have found your channel way earlier. i don't look around for mocs any deeper than a brief surface level skim over youtube or google's top results, all my alt-build-hunting is done through rebrickable. although the video i'd just watched states how the ship should be picked up other ways, it's always been so tempting to pluck it from underneath the wings on each side. better to know how i should handle it properly, now. if you have a discord server or something, i'd maybe like to show the little changes i've done!

I bought this set only because I wanted this MOC! I paid the 5 bucks and I don’t regret! Maybe I change some little things on the side doors and the nose, but it is worth every penny!
For everybody trying to follow the animation here to build the ship, the omnious hidden white plates on the front panels are the 1x6 stud ones ;) That part gave me stability wise quite some headache. There is another, even smaller, chibi version of the gunship as a moc of this set, and incomparison, this one here is much more stable and functional. Just be aware that Wurger uses also all the spare parts in the set, I had them stashed away. Huge thumbs up!

Saw some little bubble turrets from the Onyx Cinder that could be a good fit for the turrets on the wings. Just my thought for a little addition because I’m loving this design 😆🙌
U should try and show people how to do the front side cus in the animation their are no good angles for that one section the other parts a rlly good it’s just the front wall if u could show people how to do one side it will help a lot

@Wurger Bricks update... I built it already. I've never taken a lego model apart before, but it certainly was a fun experience transporting it into this masterpiece. Also the first republic gunship in my collection and for a smaller model it still looks brilliant displayed next to the rest of my collection! The only problem is now I want to buy another to make your other moc...
you should turn the 2018 solo millennium falcon into a the ghost from rebels that can actually hold the 2014 phantom set. I think it would be hard to aquire the falcon set but it'll be a whole lot cheaper than finding the actual set, good luck of you do end up making it

@@wurgerbricks cool thanks. And either my set was missing or I messed up (probably the latter) but I was short on some pieces but used others in the set to make some changes. But a good moc nonetheless and good budget gunship as well
Honestly this is objectively one of the best alt builds for this set but i dislike it for quite a lotta reasons, firstly it costs 5$, i think 4-6$ for a single alternate build is kind an overpriced sometimes considering the price of the set, but even worse is that you use quite a lot of elements from legohio, who atleast gave his instructions for free, but i’d say what i really hated is the animation, it’s almost purposefully bad to force you into buying the instructions which is really not that great👎
Hi, thank you for the comment, the animation is the standard one from Studio, rendering takes 6 to 8 hrs due to my graphics card. I would encourage people to use legohio's free instructions and compare his model to my model, or make your own modifications to the gunship.
I can't even buy this, I've been trying to buy the instructions online but it keeps saying something wrong about the postal code. Is there a way around this? That and it has charged me everytime I do it
