When you socket the gem, you only get the bonus for the type of item you socket it in.. so for the sapphire, you get the Armor Bonus of % damage reduction, not all 3.
Impressed. I did as you suggested (up to the level I could) and I must say, I relaized very quickly how much I suck at making a build - very impressed with your build suggestion!
I've been using a frenzy focused whirlwind build with the aoe stun ability for an initial chunk of rage so far levelling my berserker but definitely going to try jump strike now
There needs to be a lot more explanation WHEN to use skill points, weapons to use, stats to prioritize not just read the stats off a tree when you make a starter leveling guide. People are looking for a top down walkthrough. Also we can't pop our shouts every 25 seconds at the same time. There's a utility to prolong the fury regen. Start with challenging so all the monsters start hitting you and gaining fury, then you use warcry to have zerk up if its not up already. Finally use rallying cry to escape CC or to prolong the fight until the next shout comes online. Try to also get your technique up for polearm as lucky strike is insane on this build. 2H mace is also good for technique if you feel you are lacking in fury. But level with 2h sword and then go 1h sword/1h mace.
This is all good info, and I wanted to go into more depth I feel it would have taken so long! Plan on making an endgame full build and thanks for the recommendations especially for the other techniques!

Cool vid. I like seeing what else is out there and maybe I can pick up on a few tricks by watching these. I built very differently, but my build has simply suited my playstyle more, not that its better or anything. I went with a stunning lunge build that leans into passive bleeding with that legendary you mentioned, stunning constantly thanks to the blunt stunning passive, and berserking nearly 100% of the time thanks to I think 49% increased attack speed with the lunge. I top all that off with kick to dump all my fury into massive deathblows for super strong single target DPS topping at a 40k crit I got just last night. While it suffers from AOE, my basic attacks at level 52 are now up to 2-3k damage per hit, so most trash dies very quickly anyway. However, I have been running COOP with a sorcerer who has been crushing AOE damage, so it made alot of sense for me to focus on single target damage with little downside.
Awesome guide, thanks, I'll be using this as of now while leveling my Barb. Have 1 question tho ; As expertise you should use a 2h axe as technique and use a 2h sword as your main weapon. Regarding how to level them, which should you use first on the WW slot? I assume you should level up 2h-Axe first so you can use it for your passive technique and then 2h-Sword as default after you leveled up the axe?
Whirlwind is absolutely destroying all enemies if you can get them all around you, but with single boss enemies during campaign few times I had to switch to Rend which was more effective.
Agreed, rend is much better single target damage, Call of the ancients early game is important to becuase paired with whirlwind and shouts it can give innfinite whirlwind even in single targets for the most part. Big damage!
I just opted to keep using whirlwind but swapped the energy generator from lunging strike to frenzy. Frenzy isn't as much damage as lunging strike, but it keeps you alive much better because you can stack 24% damage reduction on yourself from its third capstone and when fighting scary stuff that didn't die to your shout/whirlwind spam, you can just manfight the last thing or two remaining as ... well a tank. Also you can slot a disobedience aspect in and be even more tanky for those situations with frenzy (disobedience is probably the strongest early game and potentailly strongest late game aspect there is because it magnifies armor values to extreme levels).
I really like your videos. You are straight forward and seem to put these out to help other players and no just brag about how op you are. Thank you for these. Sub 4 life😂
Very helpful guide. Noob question, how do you determine which equipped weapon you use? If I want to skill up in 2H swords do I unequip my blunt and 1H weapons?
So on pc the key bind is s to pull up the skills you select as active in your bard. There you can pick what weapon is used for each skill. If you set whirlwind to use 2H and regular attack as something different, you will level those weapons each time you do the corresponding attack

Hello just looking for some help I’m level 47 after unlocking the unbridled rage skill my fury goes down a lot any suggestions on what my next 3 skill points should go into? Thank you in advance
This is the very first build that actually does what Is supposed to do 😅. I'm level 35, no specific uniques, and it works. Excellent rage generation with whirlwind.
When you rip an Aspect from an Item (and it goes into your inventory) you can only imprint it on another item one time yes? unlike the Aspects you get from Dungeons (which are stored in your Codex) that can be printed unlimited?
Hi, may I know why you didnt go with Flay as your first skill please? Im asking this cos it branches off to Bleed and Vulnerable which seems like an amazing skill to go with.
i found a lvl 42 limitless rage legendary then i found a good lvl 49 rare with massive crit damage and vulnerable damage should i extract it and use it on a lvl 49 rare and pray to rnjesus to get another one? will it carry me to lvl 70 or should i keep using the lvl 42 limitless rage legendary
New player to Diablo IV; not new at all to Diablo in general. My D3 Barb's whirlwind is pretty strong and mows through bad guys easily. It'll be interesting to see if I can recreate something similar here with this build. Full disclosure, I have a Barb build so far using whirlwind and have been in Act 1 with okay results. I can't wait to build this and give it a try.
Im levelling with rend right now. I just got a decent 2h sword that has the tornadoes dropped on WW, is it worth switching to WW or is that legendary effect not good enough.
I'm looking to respec into this build from my rend build. Rend got me to level 58 pretty easily, but the lack of aoe has been making me want to try something else. but rend, ground stomp, leap, lunging strike, rupture, and iron maelstrom have been great fun to level with. Especially when stacking bleed from lunge and rend on a single target, then using rupture to give big burst has been nice. if you can find a piece of gear that gives you an extra charge of weapon mastery (i.e. rupture), that makes a HUGE difference in survivability.
I don't fully understand the expertise part of this video. So you're saying we get the benefit of all expertise skills without them being selected? How exactly does that work? Or you're saying you get the expertise of the weapons you're using to damage enemies and then you can select a weapon type you're not using to also gain that bonus?
The weapon you have equipped you get the bonus for. Additionally if you have an expertise slotted for a different weapon in your technique slot you get that bonus too. Can stack the same bonuses though
I'm level 45 and really close to your build with my fury runs out really quick when I start to spend especially if I use the passive where it takes a hundred percent more fury. Any ideas?
Its harder and opens up a lot after Level 50. For your ULT Skill run Call of the ancients for Now because its OP. Then once you get your fury generation up and can maintain it switch back to unbridled rage. New video I have shows the aspects needed to do that.
I must have gone left somewhere my Barb hits like a napkin and is a sponge.. I gotta figure it out and regear, but I’m just getting wrecked everywhere I go.
I need to follow through and re do a few things, cause for some reason as im only level 36, i cant defeat the boss on Act 3, i forgot his name it starts with B. But i take so much damage and constantly have to heal, and im also barely doing any damage to him
You do sometimes run out early, if early level change the key passive to something else. Once you get closer to 50 put it back in and start focusing on gear and stuff that maxes out your fury regeneration! Especially fury regeneration aspects! These will give you alot
I’m struggling to level fast. I got a lvl 50 necro but liked the look of the barb play style. Where /how to level as fast as possible?Right now I’m just spamming animas claim dungeon on lowest difficulty. At level 2 difficulty I get dead with the large ammount of elites.

Correct!
How are you causing vulnerable status as barbarian. I'm missing something there.
You do this by having the two handed axe equipped as a technique while also using a two handed sword
Hi, may I know why you didnt go with Flay as your first skill please? Im asking this cos it branches off to Bleed and Vulnerable which seems like an amazing skill to go with.
The lunge option was super useful early becuase you basically teleport around to enemies and it’s easy to hit them, plus I just liked those bonuses
Do the aspects still work if they are on the weapons I’m not using
Please someone let me know
First time playing a diablo game been having a lot of fun, appreciate the straight forward video. Anyone wanna join my clan?
Arsenal selection. What one you using for whirlwind? Slashing or bludgeoning?
I use the slashing weapon, then have the two handed axe set as my technique for the vulnerable damage bonuses and crit bonus
Badass built thanks bro
You got it! After 50 it shreds
i found a lvl 42 limitless rage legendary then i found a good lvl 49 rare with massive crit damage and vulnerable damage should i extract it and use it on a lvl 49 rare and pray to rnjesus to get another one? will it carry me to lvl 70 or should i keep using the lvl 42 limitless rage legendary
By the time you level up WW is amazing, especially after 50!
Loving the Barb although now level 46 but dont have the dps to finish off the capstone dungeon boss.
Yeah the difference between 46 and 50 DP’s is huge! Couple more levels and you should be good
Are there any other builds barbarian is actually good with or is it kind of the only way to go for a decent damage dealing in T2 leveling?
I'm looking to respec into this build from my rend build. Rend got me to level 58 pretty easily, but the lack of aoe has been making me want to try something else. but rend, ground stomp, leap, lunging strike, rupture, and iron maelstrom have been great fun to level with. Especially when stacking bleed from lunge and rend on a single target, then using rupture to give big burst has been nice. if you can find a piece of gear that gives you an extra charge of weapon mastery (i.e. rupture), that makes a HUGE difference in survivability.
What. Is. That. Song?! I spaced out, reminiscing my first time with boogar sugar.. need to know

i have problem with furry any solution ?
You spin me right round, baby, right round!
Whats the song at the start?
I don't fully understand the expertise part of this video. So you're saying we get the benefit of all expertise skills without them being selected? How exactly does that work? Or you're saying you get the expertise of the weapons you're using to damage enemies and then you can select a weapon type you're not using to also gain that bonus?
The weapon you have equipped you get the bonus for. Additionally if you have an expertise slotted for a different weapon in your technique slot you get that bonus too. Can stack the same bonuses though
one pissed off barb build ... love the synergy!
Yep!! Haha
I’m finding I’m running out of fury very quickly with this build. I’m at level 49. What could I be missing?
same, unplayable
i dont understand which weapon am i supposed to use for basic and core as im leveling up. 2h sword or 2h axe?
I'm level 45 and really close to your build with my fury runs out really quick when I start to spend especially if I use the passive where it takes a hundred percent more fury. Any ideas?
Its harder and opens up a lot after Level 50. For your ULT Skill run Call of the ancients for Now because its OP. Then once you get your fury generation up and can maintain it switch back to unbridled rage. New video I have shows the aspects needed to do that.
If I swap lunging strike with frenzy, do I still get bleed damage from basic skill aspect even though it doesn’t cause bleed?
SO YOU GET THE BENEFIT OF THE TEQNIQUE WITHOUT USING THE SPECIFIC WEAPON?
Yes
I must have gone left somewhere my Barb hits like a napkin and is a sponge.. I gotta figure it out and regear, but I’m just getting wrecked everywhere I go.
Using aspects on gear to reduce cooldowns and fury regen helped a ton for me.
Yeah I gotta go get some. But I gotta be able to beat the bosses. Where’s a good spot for loot right now? It changes daily
I need to follow through and re do a few things, cause for some reason as im only level 36, i cant defeat the boss on Act 3, i forgot his name it starts with B. But i take so much damage and constantly have to heal, and im also barely doing any damage to him
How do you not run out of furry, I'm trying over and over I run out constantly and so fast :(
You do sometimes run out early, if early level change the key passive to something else. Once you get closer to 50 put it back in and start focusing on gear and stuff that maxes out your fury regeneration! Especially fury regeneration aspects! These will give you alot
Why have you got vulnerable dmg?
really struggling with fury generation as WW. is WW the worst leveling build? i am lvl 20.
Yes, go for rend or hammer of the ancients for leveling
I’m struggling to level fast. I got a lvl 50 necro but liked the look of the barb play style. Where /how to level as fast as possible?Right now I’m just spamming animas claim dungeon on lowest difficulty. At level 2 difficulty I get dead with the large ammount of elites.
Still rocking ww, didnt feel the nerf. Still op af
Still OP
