@@MYSTlC7 Got two accounts but not because I'm cheating. Made the second account during the Kanto tour for trade research at first. Then, just after that a group of spoofers have been targeting our area and taking over the gyms. They've been preventing us from using the gyms properly. During the Johto Tour I changed my main account from Mystic to Instinct so I can take them out properly using both accounts.
I got no choice in using two accounts since Niantic isn't doing anything when I report them.
None of the stats matter because all 3 accounts varied in time played. To get accurate results you would have to play all 3 accounts the same amount of time.

I’m only at 38 but started over lockdown and have played on and off with minimal spending, 12 wild hundos and about 200 shinies

That's a better low cost comparison than the $1 account who barely plays. You could pay nothing and get much more.
Personally, I've only bought two global gofest and tour tickets and a few boxes over the year all using Google rewards, so probably around $50 dollars with a similar result. I also took a year off while living in a country with no Pokemon. :)

I'm level 50 and have spent about $150 on the game. I started playing in 2018. The only impact I see for money spent to have shinies would be Pokemon storage. I "only" have storage for 4600 Pokgmon, so I end up transfering most shinies after an event. I save the best IV (best total or best PvP) and perhaps save a few for trades. Raids and eggs are where the money play the really big effects. Having limited lucky eggs means I tend to try to get to best or ultra friends with several people at the same time, and use one lucky egg to double several bonuses. Having limited starpieces, I rarely use them outside events without (at least) x2 startdust. I currently have 12 million stardust because the only 3 Pokemon I have over level 40 are the 3 I needed to "50 max" during the level up process.
I suppose the money I spent on event passes (Go Fests [when they were global] and the Regi raid day) also helped my shiny count.

@@Mr_Phantom880 - I don't know what level you are, or how long you've been playing. The game is more fun if you have storage space for Pokemon and bag space for balls/berries/revives. I save my 50 coins per day for storage and bag space. Buying incubators or even raid passes, aren't that great a deal until you have "enough" storage to keep yourself happy. If you are happy with 350, then you have enough. If you want more, use your coins for that. (either the 50 coins per day, or if you buy some coins with money)
@@revblade I’m level 39 I started in 2018 and have 122 shinies and 110 legendaries 😅 also I haven’t spent any money on Pokémon go at all because I’m not allowed to make in app purchases. And thank you for the advice

This is an interesting comparison but I'd say my $20-$30 account has better stats than the $1000 account you showed. I have more shinies (although I think individual specific shinies is a better measure), more hundos, more total xp, more total catches. The big difference I see in all of these is the raid numbers and egg hatch numbers on the 10K account which is truly a bought number, you just can't get to those numbers as a FTP player.
The shiny thing... you could have huge shiny numbers just from com day shinies by keeping massive amounts from each com day. It's much harder to calculate but specific shiny species is more interesting to me. Like mudkip for example, having a shiny mudkip, marshtomp, and swampert in your storage (not just the pokedex) or a poliwog, poliwhirl, poliwrath and politoed. I'd be more interested in seeing how many species of shinies people had but that requires sorting by pokedex number and literally counting the species.

My account is completely free to play, although I have probably had to replace footwear more often than if I didn't play. I am level 49 and have caught just over 211,000 Pokemon. I have 158 Hundos and have hatched 5,294 eggs. I actually quite enjoy managing my resources and the idea of paying to win simply doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. I occasionally experience FOMO during Go-Fests and other events, but with a full-time job and family commitments, I couldn't play as much as I'd like even if I did spend money. I say a big thank you to everyone who does pay to play, because that is the only way that the game will continue to exist and I can play for nothing.

I'm L39, 100% f2p, started 2/14/22. I should look up my numbers to report. I think I'm more on the above average playing intensity for the game (play 2 hours every day at night only missed a few days due to blowing out my knee z catching the flu, having to go to the ER twice, and family visiting).

Cool video idea. Keep in mind depending on your location you play (rural / sub urban / urban) you can have a massive difference in stats, regardless of if you pay or not. I'm lucky enough to live near a giant city and live next to 2 poke stops and I'm aware not many have that luxury.
There's still a lot of rural players that have insane stats.
They just have to walk mire and grind more.
I know a guy who lives in a rural area who has over 1b xp.
I think it would be really cool to do a similar comparison on money spent, but using accounts that have a similar amount of game time

Great video, loving the recent content! I’m a f2p player and I’m currently lvl 45, I played a lot during my spare time during uni but nowadays I have less time to play and I’ve missed numerous community days. Proud of how far I’ve gotten but I think I will likely peak at lvl 45/46.

I feel like it is a bad comparison of someone that has spent $1 but likely no more than 25 hours VS someone that has spent a whole lot of money and likely 200+ hours. It means pretty much nothing. Rather see $1 + 100 hours VS $1000 + 100 hours.

The second snorlax I caught was a hundo. Got it on vacation 2 weeks after the game came out and it was unreal. When the appraisal system came out I was shocked that it was perfect iv. It’s also the second oldest pokemon that I still have on my account behind another snorlax
I have 8 hundos on my largely ftp day one account (mind you I didn't play at all basically from late 2018 til I came back late 2021) and I shit you not 3 of them are Snorlax. or more accurately one was caught as wild Snorlax and 2 were egg munchlax.
This was cool to see. I literally minimized UA-cam and was bringing up my account to compare. My $100 account is very competitive with your $1000 guy. With me having more hundos and xp, and him having more raids (both) and shinies. I'm lvl 44 vs his 43 too.

okay, this is a fun video to watch n all, but lets be honest, its not a fair comparison, the 1$ and the 1000$ have probably been a lot less active then you have been, what i'm curious about is how the 1$ account would hold up against the 10000$ account if it was as active as you are.
so a great video idea would be to have 3 "friends" get into pokemon go, with a new account, and compare the 3 accounts in that way with the same activity as all the others, as impossible as i know it is, that would be the best. also, tickets to certain events in-game imo shouldn't count toward in-game money spent.

I'm level 45 and been playing since 2016. I haven't spent a single dollar on the game because I get all my coins from gyms, and I would argue that my account is a lot better than the $1,000 account in the video lol

Spent probably almost $100 on event tickets, a few remote raid passes, and getting my bag and Pokemon storage up to 1,000. Am lv 39. My top CP/best Pokemon are my almost lv 50 hundo Incinaroar, my lv 40 3star Eeveelutions, and a lv 40 hundo Tyranitar. Caught 46 hundos, 19 legendaries, and 117 shinys; though missed out on that Shinx day.
Started 3/21/20, walked 6,363km, caught 15,219 Pokemon, won 174 raids, and hatched 1,034 eggs without buying incubators because I know a trick.

Whilst yes, money does make a difference when it comes to raid Pokémon there’s a big difference between a $1000 account with only 100k catches compared to a F2P account that has like 1 mil catches, so money isn’t as important in this game as other mobile gotcha games

I never thought Pokemon Go OG players are such a thing since I started 7/7/2016, and literally not playing for long. I am lvl 28 and all of my shinys are caught in wild while there were no events.

I’m a 2016 account, just below level 38, and I spent money twice on the game. Once in the Kanto tour, and once in 2021’s Go Fest. I’d say that I have some pretty good stuff for an account that’s been like a year on and a year off since launch
I’ve only used $5 in my account and got 9 hundos (a shundo added) was made in 2019 and got 4 nundos and in level 37 and the highest cp Pokémon is slaking but the highest USEFUL Pokémon is my dragonite.

I haven't spent a cent on the game and my stats don't look too bad in comparison. Living in SA however means no community days so not a lot of chance on the big legendaries.
Personally, I never spent anything in the game and I'm at lvl 49 with 138k pokémon caught, 531 shinies and 80 hundos (+38 shadows that could be hundos but I would never purify them)
However mostly all of the free pokécoins I make goes into storage upgrades lol
