Well apparently they only care about the events you have to travel to. Worldwide go fest shiny odds where horrible. My son only got two and was heartbroken. Niantic only care about money. But enjoyed the video.

you just have to grind and not sit around and expect shinies to come to you. everyone i went walking with for global go fest caught around 30-40 shinies. I myself caught 32. don’t know why everyone is slacking and blaming it on niantic.

Tbh I’m mad that go fest global was so difficult to encounter shiny’s and in Berlin’s go fest it’s easy you technically got 4-5 shiny per hour when in global we got 0-1 per hour lol but I’m happy for y’all hope you had fun.
Yeah I only caught 4 shiny Pokemon for the first 4 hours of the event but didn't play much the last 4 hours so 0-1 shiny per hour is spot on.

Well that's not true, it's pure luck. There was a 3 hour window at Berlin where I only got 1 shiny.
My mate had 11 shinies over the entire go fest Berlin even ( we had early access) while he had 44 ones on the global go fest.
It's just rng some events you will be more lucky then others 🤷

I support the spoofers. They are not hurting the game if they play it normally. The only thing that some spoofers do that is plainly annoying is adding pokemon while you are battling a gym with 2 pokemon in it and suddenly there is 5. I dont mind the spoofers as they do their shiny hunting and catching and leveling. They dont really have a advantage.

After ninantic did this bushit summer "events" and "Go Fest" i said fuck it and started spoofing. Its more fun and at least i can get decent shinies. Idc about shundos i just want some damn shinies. Started in 2016 got back intl 2019 and have been playing ever sense. But this entire years worth of events are just horrible compared to the last few years. I gotta say, it's just an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT seeing the squad back together. What got me into Pokemon Go back in 2018 was the interaction between the community and, more visibly, the camaraderie between the YT'ers as they meet up around the world to share adventures and memories while we all get to follow along.

Must be nice to get paid by Niantic to be at all the events in person and get paid to travel half way across the world to attend these events like people can afford all that during times like these when people are just getting thereselves back up from covid I still bought a ticket that should last me until August I wasted my damn money I caught one shiny today and that was a ratata can't even get into a darkrai raid it's b.s that all you get to have all these shinys and we just get to stare and look at all you gloat and praise on yours catches which I don't blame you but how about people that bought the ticket that didn't get shit and the last go.fest sucked I feel like Niantic robbed and I'm pissed off that I can't even get a pokemon that should be able to get no matter if its exclusive or not why do I gotta spend 25$ more then I already did. It's b.s I'm glad all you got to be able to get shinys and all these legendary I was lucky enough to get in one Articuno raid I'll never put another dollar into Niantic again.

Buddy functionality idea:
What if for a certain amount of Km walked with a buddy, the trainer were given the ability to improve the buddy’s IVs by 1? And let’s say the Km needed were based on the rarity of the Pokémon and would multiply by 1.2x each IV gained. For example, based on the eggs the Pokémon hatch from, or the level raid needed for the reward encounter, would determine if you needed 20 (tier1), 30 (tier3), 40 (tier4) or 50Km (tier5) walked for a single IV improvement. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Charmander, they would need to walk 148.832km (round to 149) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Gible, they would need to walk 297.664km (round to 298) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Mewtwo, they would need to walk 446.496km (round to 447) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs.
Pros:
- This would make spoofing or radar services less profitable and encourages more gameplay with the same Pokémon.
- Entices player to “bond” with a single Pokémon for longer and therefore play the game more often to get the coveted 100% dex.
Cons:
- All players would have access to the best Pokémon if they walk enough
- Pvp players would need to make sure to avoid gaining hearts walking their buddy, or not apply the “bonding” IVs earned.
If you can think of any other pros/cons, reply to this comment so we can share our thoughts about the idea and maybe someone at Niantic will pick it up! Ideas welcomed and I’ll update the post accordingly.

I have a feeling next years GO fest will be all in person events and are only ticketed events. Niantic needs to keep it a worldwide event for those who cannot travel or have the funds to do such a thing...
Niantic have been a very money hungry scummy company ever since the first Go Fest & they introduced raids. Spending money on Raid passes, incense and Incubators are bad enough but Niantic don’t care about the fact that most us can’t afford these tickets for the in person events let alone travel to these events & to make things worse is Niantic sponsor UA-camrs when they can actually afford all things themselves

Damn Pokemon GO is WAY MORE Pay2Win than I thought. I've been playing for 4 or 5 years and I have about 300 Shiny Pokemon. Seeing the amount and variety you get if you can afford to travel to GoFest is crazy. I'm super jealous that you got to go. Thanks for sharing the experience with the world.

So the trick to re roll a shiny when the spawns change is to stay on the encounter screen and not exit out until the hour changes. I tried it at global go fest this year and I had a shiny Alolan Grimer turn into a shiny Larvitar.
