I had 30 minutes to chill been running all day what a pleasure to unwind with a new video from you. People have mentioned loose meat but I have never tried it, kind of like a ground up hamburger, I bet queso sauce would be good on that. I used to make one where you mix all those exact same ingredients into ground meat form a patty and grill. Yes you do have a good group of people on your channel leaving comments, very positive.
I make Sky line chilli and one of the tips I use from the recipe put 1 quart of water with beef and stir with hands or spoon. Cook down until meat is browned and dry.. It's super crumbly
Heather, thank you for your story from Oprah!! Never heard that story before!!! Excellent advise to young and old cooks!!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!! I remember as a kid my mom making this same recipe!!! Thank you for bringing it to the forefront of my memory!!!!❤
I tried finding that episode....it was when Oprah was still..... I dont want to say normal, but back in her earlier years....and man, it changed the way I cooked ground meat! I was paranoid for awhile! hahaha
Omg I’ve never been the 1st to make it to anyones video much less one that says it was posted 10 seconds ago!! That notification was on point! I’m going to like & all the things before even watching bc I know it’s gonna be fantastic!! We ❤ u beautiful…..❤ supporter’s from NC
Mmm, yum! I spent the first 21 years of my life living close to Flint.. Anytime we visit we always stop and get a coney and fish & chips. Not many of them open last I visited, so sad to see them close.
Flint Coney vs Detroit Coney! hahaha The battle continues. I am a Detroit girl, for 21 years grew up on 6 Mile and Gratiot. But later in life I moved to Grand Blanc and started enjoying those Flint coneys! hahaha Leo's Coney Island is SO GOOD! We now live up in the West Branch area, and we have NO coney islands here so anytime I am down state, I gotta hit one. HAHAHAHA
When I was a little kids and my dad made hamburgers....he would not take the time to make patties. We grew up calling them " Gravel Burgers". Salt pepper, scrambled burger....white bread, ketchup and a slice of onion if we had it..... TO THIS DAY I will go get white bread just for these... I know, at 70 I should have grown up in my tastes......but these and popcorn with honey butter are just those warm fuzzies from my dad.
oh my heart I love that!!!! Gravel burgers! hahaha. Bess the memories your sweet Daddy left for you. This made my night. Thank you for sharing with me.
Yours looks so good Heather with that mustard and onion! I love meals like this, so much better than take out. I managed to find those meat mashers here in Australia, not sure how I've missed those. I'm going to get one on Monday, might pick one up for mum too ☺
My mom use to make loose meat sandwiches with left over roast. She also included the left over bits from the bottom of the that also meant any extra drippings. She ground it up, warmed it up and served on a bun. We ate the sandwiches with ketchup and mustard. Sides were: baked beans and deviled eggs or egg salad and chips. It’s a quick, delicious meal and everyone in my family loved it!
OMG! You mentioned Iva’s Kitchen. We love that place. We stop sometimes when we travel to our family shared home in Elk Rapids from Howell. Love this place recipe. Can’t wait to try!
That slaw looks so good! I’m going to have to try this version. I usually add mustard and a touch of catsup. I generally keep onion soup mix because I use it in so many things. Shalom 😊
Oh gosh that slaw looks fantastic I have to laugh whenever you say Worcestershire sauce. I’m the same way 😂. But I have heard you say perfectly. I have the salt and salt pepper shakers and the meat chopper, all a must have And thanks for sharing how everyone likes it. Sounds like my guys. but I will say yours looks awesome! This was So easy and super delicious! I made it right along with you. The extra trick for the rolls is appreciate! Can’t wait for my family to try it later ! Of course Ive already snuck a taste lol ❤👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You are the Best ! I wish I lived closer to you.
These look so good and easy to make. I’m going to try it out on the family. Btw I heard someone say “warsh” your sister sauce for Worcestershire sauce. I can never go back to the old pronunciation now. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. And thanks for being a positive source for new chefs. Hugs to you my friend.
THAT would be Danny, my childhood best friend and now husband. I did make a video awhile back, but you must have missed it. Here it is for you. GOD works in crazy ways..... Danny is one of my oldest friends, over 40 years. Never in million years did I think that GOD was working, even back then, to build deep roots with someone I would trust like family, to help me and the littles get through the nightmare we endured. And, my family already knew him so he was no stranger. My Mom loved Danny, I wish she could see the beautiful story the Lord wrote. ua-cam.com/video/6XLmAigo3zE/v-deo.htmlsi=6hoAbOkgtGpr_XRi
I learned to make these when I lived in Iowa, and the trick to very finely crumbled meat was to add water to the meat when it’s raw 😊
I add water to my Appalachian hotdog chili to make it fine.
I am going to try that!!!!!
You r so right...I have always cooked grd meat like this
Yes, I live in Iowa and yes water is the trick.
I’m so excited. Here we go! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻

you absolutely could!!!!! And it will already have that steamed texture, nice and soft!
Sonya and Dave came to the Countryside reunion each year. I miss those days.
I make Sky line chilli and one of the tips I use from the recipe put 1 quart of water with beef and stir with hands or spoon. Cook down until meat is browned and dry.. It's super crumbly
