Hey mate, I live in Norway and was quoted nearly £200 for someone to come and install a toilet I had bought. Was a little apprehensive of giving it a go with the potential consequences if it went wrong but with your help I decided I would give it a go myself (with zero experience) and can happily say i'm now the proud owner of a fully functioning toilet! Thank you!
Brilliant video! I needed to remove my toilet to get to a toilet freshener which my grandson had managed to wedge in the soil-pipe (don’t know how he managed to flush it round the bend)! With no previous experience, I managed the job thanks to your excellent instruction and saved myself a tidy sum in plumbers fees. I simply wouldn’t have had the confidence to try it without your encouraging and detailed video.
Installing downstairs loo today. This video was everything I needed. In particular the pan floor fixings and the screws into the wall. Thank you so much. HOLDING TIGHT
Thanks! This was very useful. I replaced my loo today and was not sure which order to do the bits in so this came in handy. I like the lighthearted and humour - especially about needing therapy after wiffing the waste pipe!!
I am about to embark on taking out my old bathroom and installing a new one, thank you for your videos, no doubt I will re-visit when I get stuck. It took me hours to fit my kitchen tap last time, as it is never as easy as you make it look :)
Excellent instructional video. I would not be too happy soldering those pipes so near to the flexible waste. Knowing my luck I would end up with a major problem but in your hands no problem.
Thank you very entertaining and informative. NO time wasting. Great personality! I can't remove my cistern from bowl as I have no access to the nuts under the cistern. I can only see screws inside the cistern. I'm hoping that if I keep undoing the screws in the cistern the cistern will eventually lift off. I've been trying for quite a while. It is coming loose from the bowl Thanks for your help and fun with presentation.!

Brilliant video mate. I'm gonna be changing out the small toilet downstairs.. Watched another video where u chsnged out the tiny sink for a nee bigger one.. Top stuff my friend.. Thsnks for the information
So. The wife said "we need to get a bloke in to fit the new bathroom" No chance. Challenge accepted. Never touched anything plumbing in my life so did some digging and found this cracking channel. Having fitted the entire bathroom, including re routing all the pipework under the floorboards and fitting new radiators the bathrooms spot on. However, now when i flush the downstairs toilet, the pipe makes a humming sound like the QE2 is on its way past. HHHEEEELLLPPPP 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Any ideas? :-)
Did you solve it? It's presumably some tap or valve chattering, and you just have to find out which one. I had this problem due to a bathtub tap and also a shower mixer bar.
In the USA, plumbing a toilet is different so this is useless to me. BUT. I can't leave without complimenting the wit of the plumber -- especially the planning and execution that went into the two scenes, "To you, it will seem -- like a second." Brilliant! LoL. thanks.
Agreed. The tutorial doesn't help much due to all those little differences (the waste pipe in the wall vs. in the floor with a wax seal), but you gotta love that accent of his. :)
Thanks. I'm just onstalling a bog for my mother, wasn't sure if I needed to put sealant arounf the flexi waste pipe, now I know. Why do you use the crap isolation valve on? I use the ones with the turn handle, no need to find a flat ended screw driver which is much quicker in an emergency.
Thanks for the video ,I have done this job myself many years ago,but wanted a refresher before trying again.I noticed you used silicone on the soil pipe but won't that make it a nightmare for someone to remove in the future?
Great video. I would mention when I did it, the new ceramic toilet was wobbly on the newly tiled floor. I had to use shims under one side to stop it rocking. Fingers crossed its not going to give me issues later!
Great work. The flexi pipe and waste make light work of connections that would otherwise be a pain. Also, NO OVERFLOW connection which is also a precise through-the-wall connection?
Good video, I’m due to have a go at fitting a replacement loo in my en-suite, which wasn’t my initial plan. The cistern was still leaking a small amount of water into the pan after flushing the loo. When I’d identified the washer was deteriorating from age and limescale I thought it would be a £2 washer replacement. But I thought I’d replace the internal cistern, but alas minor leaks over the years had corroded the securing plate to the doughnut washer. £150 later I’ve ended up buying an ideal standard Della close coupled toilet. I’ll provide an update on “how easy” it was to fit in due course.
Great cheers for this vid iv brought a new toilwt i was hoping to just replace the basin as I dnt feel that comfy given my mentel health and physical illnesses but I have to as the feed system from cistern to the basin mine is just seems to be 32mm tube but this new 1 sits on like the 1 your installing. Its this that I'm apprehensive about as iys solid pipe work nor flexi hose so I need a flexi hose there also dose not seem to be any need for welding the only issue have is actually putting the internal cistern parts together 😔 iv gor tools 🔧 drill etc caulk gun, sealant etc ankther day useing 25lt ox bucket 🙃 as the porcelain has cracked all along the back were the water feeds into toilet so if flush the cistern water just pools all over floor im nor paying HA or a private imber to fit it this vid has given me confidence to attack the task just need flexi hose to get here cheers agin great vid with banter ✌💚
Gr8 video as per but some other plumbers advise against using power tools on screws that fasten thru porcelain as you may overdo it and crack the porcelain

You do get horizontal waste pipes going through the wall in the US but it's not as common. Much simpler and easier to go horizontal through the wall.

Hi can you not attach the cistern to the toilet before you fix it to the floor making it easier to do the wing nuts?
Yeah you can it will make it heavier to move to the waste pipe but yeah you can do that
Be careful you don't accidentally connect the toilet to the hot water, I did and had hot flushes for a week lol, class stuff matey.
