Excellent! One of the best if not the best organ demo ever. Thanks!

I loved Lowrey! As a service engineer Lowrey fed my family very well for my 37 years in the business. I could always depend on constant service calls from the simple L66 to these flimsy buttoned monstrosities to provide a constant stream of service revenue. The worst organs were Technics from Panasonic. They would survive even chain smoker abuse and just keep playing perfectly! If everybody had Technics, my family would have starved!

Thank you for making this. I have the cherry cabinet. It helps to have that rack extender but I miss the light.

I don't know anything about organs, but I recently got a Lowrey baby grand "Concert Tone" piano from 1980 for a good price. I love it. It sounds great! I wish I could find out more about Lowrey pianos. Organs seems to complex for me :)

I just got my Stardust a few weeks ago. I was wondering if I can pay for some one on one instruction with you guys to learn the most I can from this instrument. I've wanted one since I was a kid in the 70's. When I was 15 I got my first Lowrey, a Wandering Genie which I still have and it still works, but I always wanted a monster lowrey. My wife and I just bought a new house and now had the room finally to buy one. My wife had no idea something like this existed simply because in her era, the 80's, it was all about those cheesy keyboards. UGG. She had no idea what was going to be taking up a good chunk of room in our new living room. LOL. Surprise. Anyway, can I set up some virtual lessons?. Thanks.

Sad that Lowery went out of business!!

  • @Organplayer1947

Very informative. But what puzzles me: Why such a detailed and fine pres about an instrument no longer built . Even repair is challenged by lack of parts and techs, who either retired or care less to do a home repair visit only to announce the needed part is not available! I could 'see' this wonderful video 'back in the day' ...when the organ was still being built and available.
I wonder if this video was made perhaps in 2005 and recently released for uTube review. That's fine too.....and we ALL appreciate this info. But its unfortunate the Lowrey classes and such are gone....many folks depended on these for a sense of fulfillment, achievement, and social interaction. Shame! Sad!!
