Outstanding wonderful and groovy.
Nice job! If you’re not feeling it I don’t wanna listen. You got it goin on bro!
You are a wonderful musician!
I absolutely love the sound of a B3 going through Leslie speakers. Can’t beat that sound.
Yeah but damn heavy to play out with.
or a marshall stack
Rip UA-cam compression
One of the most beautiful sounds in the whole wide world. A b3 with a leslie!!
So many memories of Jon Lord (RIP) with this sound .Thank you
This gentleman Eric Steckel Rock's 🤟🤟🗽🎵🎶🎵🎶🌞

this guy can play. once you hear a B3 you will never forget it
Not only does Eric totally play this organ like a mad dog, but it's a rare moment to spot a keyboard on the floor of Norman's Rare Guitars. The thing is even overdriven, only a plus!
The inimitable mythical sound of the B3, the king of organs.
Fascinating how emotional a musical instrument the Hammond B3 organ is!
John Douglas Lord ( Deep Purple) over his shoulders all smiles 🌞 for those who love to Rock we salute you Eric Steckel. Thank you Norm😎🎶🎵🎶🎵🎸🤟🎆🎆🕊️

Love that B3 sound! Always and forever amazing
Nothing beats the sound of a Leslie speaker, so much expression! Oh, the B3 helps too......
I love the sound of the B3 organ-nothing sounds like them.
How can something be so gutsy and reach a nerve that nothing else even comes close!
Cry when that organ growls. Such a time period!
Great show!
I used to see those everywhere as young child back in the 60's and 70's. I was thinking of "Whither Shade of Pale." In honor of Gary Brooker of Procol Harum
Loving that scream and warm grit.
Nothing better than the sound of a B3. Can listen 24/7!
That Hammond is unbelievable. Not played often enough nowadays. I’ve always loved bands back in the ‘60’s that incorporated keyboards into their bands. Betcha “Love and Happiness” great on it.

@@brandonholguin2872 Cool. Thanks
That is THE iconic rock organ!! Love watching Neal Doughty of REO Speedwagon play the hell out of a B3
sweet lord, those chords were beautiful
Nice! Brought me back to the Doors of many years ago.
Hammond is THE best organ in the world! Such a unique and distinctive sound! ❤️❤️❤️
wow that made my day
A B3 player who doesn't play Whiter Shade of Pale, top marks, beautiful instrumrent
YEAH!! I can tell he's humble and wow, what a talent. Fave video from Norm's in a long time. I've got a '58 M-3 and 147 but there's nothing like a B. Thanks!
Wow.... INCREDIBLE playing!!
When I hear Hammond I always think about Jon Lord from Deep Purple.
Nice playing.
Love the organ
A marvel of acoustic and electronic engineering. I own an M102 that sounds amazing! Thanks for posting!
NO MORE NEED BE SAID EVER!!! TY MAESTRO STECKEL
Boom - Thanks Eric & Norman - awesome!
That was fantabulous!
Now THAT made me smile!
Made my day.....👍👏👌🎸
Wow! That brought waaay back. Thanks man.
Wonderful
Thank you Eric and Jen, nice to see the B3 get some love!
Thanks very much for this video!
I wasn't looking at the description when I qued Norm's video, my first thought was Rick Wakeman when I saw him play with The Who in the late 70's. Thanks for a new artist.
Wow that is a beautiful sound!
That's a great Whippersnapper right there!
Talent
A wizard..... a true star!!!!
Maybe we can convince Eric for a encore with Child in Time ( Deep Purple) ✨✨🌌😎🌞
Thank you Norm for all the wonderful videos , Music saves the 🌎🌍🌍 🤟🤟🎶🎵🎶🎵🕊️

another GREAT video from Norm's!!!!
Nice. Organ of the day.
I love guitar. But B3 and vibes, I'd love to have had access to either.
But you just never saw them at tag sales, or the Milford Drive-In Frea Market.
Killer B3 player!!!! Wow just wow!!!
Wow..so good
My appreciation for your work grows daily Eric! You are absolutely incredible and I would LOVE to see you sit in with Snarky Puppy and play, well, any instrument! Lol uh except the drums.
Wow!!
You are amazing!!!!
WHOA!!! Awesome playing Mr. Steckel!!
Awsome chops! Love Hammond B3’s and Mezzabarba amps are insane.
Nada supera está maquina harmonica
Bravo, Eric! :)
OOTD
Organ of the day, as one fan stated.
Totally cool playing. Wow!
Play with Lemmo on another episode.
Organ and guitar. What could be better?
Organic.
Freakin’ Jon Lord Jr! Love it!❤
That made my day!
That was awesome Eric 👍
01:34 that woosh sound is to die for
Amazing playing!
Fantastic sound, a real B3 , accept no substitute!
Love it king on guitar and hammond
I’ve never met Norm , but he seems like such a cool guy , very involved in the community and also showcasing talented musicians that might go under the radar. This guy here sounds bad ass and of course Lemmo is always great ! I also love it when Franks on there he also seems cool a.f. Anyway thanks for these vids !
Franks the best !
They have àn early to mid seventies Hammond at my son's school's music studio. Love them. Used to see them all the time as a kid in the seventies and early eighties. Too bad.
Awesome, my man, awesome!
that’s insane.
Wow very cool
I hear a lot of influence from the original, Al Kooper on the B3. Love it. Thanks.
Nice……….👍🏽 sounds amazing
nice! 👍
I would love to see Eric play the Zither next time he comes to Norm's store.
I’ll work on it! 😆
Tell Eric my life would be complete if I he did a video of him playing a cover of the organ solo for green eyed lady! 😊😂❤
sounds so sweet''''''
Nice
👍✌❤
Fabulous❗️I’ve been a Hammond B3 and Leslie fan since I was at art school in the 1960s and heard my first Jimmy Smith record, never looked back‼️One thing that’s always intrigued me is that little switch to the left of the keyboard. Is it a control for the Leslie horn or something else? 🤔 Thanks again Norm and Eric✌️🌻🇺🇦
It's the speed switch for the Leslie. In a Leslie speaker, there are 2 motors. a fast and a slow motor. When the switch is flicked to the right, it goes to its "fast" speed, which is both rotors going into high gear on the fast motor. When it's flicked to the left, it goes to the "slow" speed, which is both rotors on the slow setting. To control this, there's a relay in the Leslie amplifier that taps into the motor sockets. With that, the switch on a Leslie is on one of the pins of the multicore cable needed to connect it. IIRC, on a 147 pinout, the speed switch is on pins 2 and 3. Unsure on 122.
Groovy
Good God .......Gimmie some lovin!
Rick Beato played with John Mayall? Cool.
John Mayhall is obviously a world-class spotter of talent.
I’m sick when I see a b-3 especially a1959 model the Lesly speaker is to you right ?
🥃🤘🏼
Near the end he hit a note and brought my mind immediately to Boston’s introduction of Its been such a long time Not even sure if that’s the title but they have had to using this same rig because the tones are identical. Great stuff , can anybody tell me a ballpark what the value on this rig is ? Just curious , I bet she ain’t cheap.
The title is "Foreplay/Longtime", great song
Between 6K and 9K depending on condition.
@@gfgranja I agree
@@mattrogers1946 thanks
organ donaties please!
Nothing any better that a B3 and a Lesile cabinet turned around backwards. Yeah, ok, and the dude playing it!
There is no better sound on any keyboard
Jon lord would approve. Young grasshopper
Just bought some Hammond tone generator oil for my M100. You think has costs allot?! On a side note, man, I miss Mark.
Sounds killer but I thought I heard some vibrato helicopter which indicates the scanner may need cleaning. My A102 is doing the same thing.
YEAH BABY! Can't hear the foot tho?
Can we have B3 of the day
I was in a band years ago that had a very thin emaciated keyboard player. The guy was superb however the rest of the band had to carry his stuff around. Even chopped that B3 was heavy not to mention the leslie cab. But that thing sounded heavenly.
Two words... Jimmy Smith !!
Where's the Leslie?
on the right
He should play B3 full time.
Immediately thought of since I’ve been living you by zeppelin
This should be played through a Marshall stack.
Lee Michaels....
Jon Lord anyone?
I don't know anything about playing a B3. What is he doing with his left hand when he reaches over to the edge? I don't hear any changes.
He’s controlling the vibrato through changing the speed of the Leslie speaker. The top of the speaker has a rotating “tweeter” with two trumpet shaped outputs that rotate on an axle.; resembles a smaller tornado siren if you ever seen one. It’s rotation speed creates a Doppler effect and the faster the rotation, faster the vibrato and vice versa. Watch when he reaches over to the switch, sound speeds up or slows down. It’s a pretty simple concept but it sounds fantastic!
@@Bronco4x4 Thanks for the reply. I am familiar with the rotating speakers but did not know that was the control.
He's got a little Charles Hodges in him.
