What brakes are on that one again? is the brake caliper a different one than original? btw. i hate that the RCZ R doesnt have any gauges like oil temp, oil pressure, boost etc. theres nothing other than the water temp.
@mgcharoudin Misha, try to wipe a panel with antisilicone (e.g. Baslac 70-10, Standox antisilicone or any other for car bodyworks). The camera would definitely hold much better. It doesn't need much, just a slight wipe.

For the gauges camera you should have a rubber strap that is adjustable and grips around the whole steering column. Something like a GoPro chest mount but only single strap. I think there are "wrist" mounts for GoPro that offer something like that but would need a bigger strap.

Had a 2011 pre-facelift with the infamous THP156 engine... Really liked the car, had to sell it because I didn't notice in time that the timing chain elongated. Timing chain jumped and I didn't have the financial means for the repair at that time. Maybe one day again...
Yeah psa still miss with that engine, Renault did something smart by using the F4R and upgrading it to the Meg RS3. Peugeot could have used the EW10 and improved it as they did with the F4R, somewhat old technology, but modifiable and reliable. This EP6 is better than the 156 version, but still a bit worried.
I have a small comment. The "stiffness of the body" is not sufficient "the box is twisted". Around 150 km/h in a corner and 170-180 km/h in a straight line, the "wind noise" gets very loud, the windows of the doors cannot close properly. Of course, it may also happen that (only) the "frameless window" does not close well enough. Although the Calibra "didn't whistle at 200". If the chassis is hardened even more and the car becomes even more powerful, this "negative effect increases". Even the "planes of the gear stages can move" so much that the driver switches to two instead of four in the corner (with large lateral forces), of course, this also depends on how stable the grip of the gearbox is. The "roll cage" would stiffen a lot or even a "half roll cage". It would have been nice to see how much the shift lever moves sideways in a high-speed corner. In Clio coupe interior camera footage, the shift lever "moves 3-4 centimeters laterally" when high-speed cornering. For this reason, they do not shift in a high-speed corner, rather before or after the corner, but because of this, the "wind noise" still remains and the "negative effects of body twisting" as well. Have a nice day.
@@philippelemaire2887 The grip is so good, "super tires", super hard suspension, so many G forces, the body twists. For this reason, it must be strengthened. The cage is very good for this. Of course it's extra weight.
Hard to judge the stiffness of a chassis using frameless windows as a reference. Other cars may have had different type of seals that allowed windows to have more play and they would still seal properly, or a bazillion of other little things that might influence the window seal.

Gorgeous looking car. Always a pleasure to see these on the road.
This rcz R it’s the same chassis as RCZ cup ( race car ) 😊. Info become by peugeot when i worked for PSA group
I never really gave much thought to these, but that was seriously impressive. Epic bit of kit.
Plz try to do a lap with 208 by Peugeot sport
It has nothing to do with the normal gti
The French have a lot of flair when it comes to setting up chassis
these cars are kinda cool looking, the design aged very well imo and nothing else really looks like them
Passing:
14:40 MR2
18:44 Porsche
19:59 Type R
20:50 BMW +1
Probably the only Peugeot I would ever own
Do it, i have One, its amazing 👏
I was looking for brakes today for the R and its a disaster. I only find a supplier selling the OEMs for 1400 Euro only for the front.
What brakes are on that one again? is the brake caliper a different one than original?
btw. i hate that the RCZ R doesnt have any gauges like oil temp, oil pressure, boost etc. theres nothing other than the water temp.
1.6cc, 270 HP amazing!
Reminds me of Opel GT, there is quite a few cars like these, its like you forget they even exist.
Love the look of the RCZ's. How good would they be with a small block V* or a decent turboed 6?
This car is owned by a man with his automotive priorities in the correct order.
Faster than expected.
frickin glued to the track xD
Been looking forward to this. Iv got the exact same model and colour but with a few mods. His review will help me see areas to improve
Just remember you need Cup 2R tires.
@@S.Madman I did get Yokohama ad09 on mine made a big difference on track lol
I love the fact Misha can squeeze everything of any car!
Was that an M3 infront, or just a 330i? Either way, effortlessly keeping up to it is insane for a Peugeot
M3 e46 343hp
@@esppse4732 He is referring to the F80 / F30 chassis later on
340i with M Sport Package
Thanks for your work, Misha (aka the face of Moai) and thanks to the owner for choosing this car, I prefer it more than the Audi TT. Greetings!
Misha was carrying more speed than an 80s drug dealer!
@mgcharoudin Misha, try to wipe a panel with antisilicone (e.g. Baslac 70-10, Standox antisilicone or any other for car bodyworks). The camera would definitely hold much better. It doesn't need much, just a slight wipe.
That was even enjoyable to watch. Low power with lots of grip is always key to fun :D
The look in the mirror and grin at 7:12 when you beat the M3 with cornering skill 💀🤣
this setup is insane
So sad that we don't have this R version here on my country just the RCZ and AT! RCZ-R seems a nice and funny car! I own a DS3 and i like it so much too! Second lap was much much better
Such an awesome car, had the 200 hp version back in 2011.
For the gauges camera you should have a rubber strap that is adjustable and grips around the whole steering column. Something like a GoPro chest mount but only single strap. I think there are "wrist" mounts for GoPro that offer something like that but would need a bigger strap.
wooooow! Sem dúvidas nenhuma eu fico mais apaixonado por esse carro a cada dia!
Looks from behind same as infront. Proper Lap! What a fast Car
I wonder if an insta 360 go camera would be good for the dash. Their smaller and shouldn't fall off because their lighter. Love the RCZ I've been trying to find a nice one for a while now. Something about the bubble glass roof 😁
maybe dont need new suspension, camber bolts if possible. edit. dont know if toyota bolts would fit it, i managed to get -0.7camber extra with 1 upper strut/knuckle bolt(90105-15006) on Celica.
Must admit, never been a fan of these since driving the 200bhp version, felt too slow and loose. But just goes to show what a difference a little more HP, pads and tires can do. 👏🏽 👍🏼
Don't forget the 380mm Alcon brakes, uprated springs and a limited slip diff.
I love the idea of stock suspension relatively stock power but with great tires, so you can have fun at low speeds with high corner speed and good braking thanks to the tires!! You can have fun in a car like that without endangering everybody else on the road!!
That is a really nice looking car, it has that kind of look that makes people wonder what it is..
Good power for a turbo 1.6L
Ah, nice laps!! Also very impressed with the car👍🏻
RCZをドライブしましたが、FFとは思えない優れたハンドリング、高速域での安定感も素晴らしかった。
欲しい車です。
perfect weather for those tires , nice run :D
Nice to see the different line Mischa is driving compared to the E46 and what a difference it makes. Cool car btw!
That indicator sound sounds familiar😂😂
Looks like a blast! Gonna research these cars, never heard of em before.
21:14 Blue BMW on the rear camera tried a little too hard.
Similar to Alpine?
Seems very smooth vehicle 😎
For an old car is it good?
@@philippelemaire2887
What do you think?
I do not understand.
Please explain.
@@philippelemaire2887 The grip is so good, "super tires", super hard suspension, so many G forces, the body twists. For this reason, it must be strengthened. The cage is very good for this. Of course it's extra weight.
@@Normi.De.Tud1982excuseme but english is ot my native langage. I say simple, it's a good car
Hard to judge the stiffness of a chassis using frameless windows as a reference. Other cars may have had different type of seals that allowed windows to have more play and they would still seal properly, or a bazillion of other little things that might influence the window seal.
Tires make the #1 difference in performance and handling (as an upgrade). Followed by brake pad compound and performance dampers (not lowering)
Just owner did!: The best tires ( CUP 2R), excellent brake pads ( Endless )... Only It is necessary a good suspension.
swaybar first then tires. maximize the use of total car grip available then when you achieve that, fit better tires
the only Peugeot i would buy, lovely
Yellow lights killed the fun, this seems such a fun car. Please do another lap later!
Its amazing how a good line gives you the carry on speed after overtook bmw you dropped it after 1 second as will smith once said .." now thats how you drive ..." ❤
Is this engine alot different then the normal 1,6thp lineup. I owned a citroen with the 150hp 1,6thp and that wasn’t a great engine.
Now I wonder.. after these Cup2R.. we already had Audi at Potenza Sport (not the top of the potenza's for sure), but did Misha some runs or did he recorded some another laps at Bridgestone's too? Maybe more top-end Potenza's ?? I wonder because we dont have proper race track where I live, but I'm running at Re's semi-slicks during all last years everyday and almost switched to Michelins or Advan, but still decided to stay at another set of Re's, hehe. And now we see here stock car at damn Cup2 (of course not the ordinary stock car, lol). And also we've seen wonderful Vika with her hot-box with Advan's (tires which she destroyed, ahah).
Ok Misha, what are the top handling mods in your opinion?
