Another one of Home Free's hidden gems that is not reacted to much. This is such a fun positive song with a great message. We need to enjoy the simple things in life. These guys can always make you feel better when you need a lift.
Thank you for doing this one. I forgot just how good it was. Love the puppy too! Everyone was so good in this. This is one we’ll miss having Austin for….waaaa.
In a World full of man-made turmoil, this song is like an Oasis !! We need more Uplifting relaxing messages and this certainly delivered. Thanks for your enthusiastic reaction D.J. 🤗
If you like this song, then you should watch the original song sung by Travis Tritt. I think you’ll like it just as much. In fact, you really should go down the rabbit hole with Travis Tritt. He has some really, really great songs! Yeah, he’s country, but he has great lyrics that are really relevant to society at that time, and still are today!
I love the Travis Tritt version of this song but hearing Home Free sing it was SUCH a vibe. Austin really carried this one and Adam Rupp's beatboxing was absolutely phenomenal as expected! This version is so close to the original but with that wonderful spin that Home Free put on it... Thank you for this reaction DJ! Absolutely loved the reaction
I would have been watching the premiere, but I marched in a Memorial Day parade, and I fell asleep as soon as I got, which was like 3:30. I just woke up like 20 minutes ago.
I love this song. About just appreciating every day. Probably never would’ve heard it if Home Free hadn’t covered it. Aaannd Austin with a cute puppy at the end didn’t hurt either.
Makes me wish Home Free would cover Cledus T. Judd's parody of this song Great Day to be a Guy. Knowing their sense of humor I know they would have fun doing it
I know the original of this song with Travis Tritt.. In 2002, my husband was critically ill and in a semi-coma... He woke up and wanted to hear this song. I had no way to play it because cell phones weren't very prominent then.. So my daughter and I sang it to him.. He was awake for about a half hour and was very lucid.. After that, he sunk into a full coma and never woke up again. He died a few days later.. But I have always thought it was remarkable that he wanted the song "It's A Great Day To Be Alive" when he was so critical.
Now you need to watch Travis Tritt's version. It was a hit a very long time ago. No one does this song better than he does but I do think Home Free knocked it out the park too.
DJ thank you for playing this song . Austin is a great singer and songwriter. Austin is so energetic person. The harmonies are great. I love Home Free and they are my favorite group. Tim's low bass voice. Adams beatboxing is the best. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love this one, Austin is pretty overload in this. Well they all are but Austin is just so pretty I can't help it. I knew you would like it. Adam was as amazing as always. And Chance on the bass was phenomenal. You really need to check out Travis Tritt he is awesome.
FYI- Chance released a new song/video last week on his channel. It’s a beautiful rendition of “Leave Her Johnny, Leave Her”, with the addition of “Lowlands”. The Hound and the Fox provide backing vocals, and Sami created a wonderful video. I’d love to see the views for it skyrocket.
Such an amazing Home Free hidden gem I wish more reactors reacted to this one. Travis Tritt is an amazing Country artist since 1989. He released an heartbreaking mini movie trilogy of songs in 1991. Anymore Tell Me I Was Dreaming If I Lost You
I love this song - it makes me happy just hearing it. Of course the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific - they always are. There's a live version of them singing this in the 'Country Rebel Church Sessions' (in the sessions they also sing "Go Rest High on That Mountain"). BTW, whoever told you that is right - Austin looks like a porcelain doll.
I love all the boys songs. And this is not different., Most, I will listen to theirs before the original artist. But... this one.. I adore Travis Tritt and as good as Austin is. This is still a Travis song for me. Great Job, DJ
You look so cozy! ^-^ Also looking forward to the future DJ doggo spam content! 😁 Great reaction hunny! By the way DJ, I see by your fantastic collection of both superhero and anime memorabilia that you have excellent taste. Out of curiosity are you a fan of One Piece?
No, the little dog is called Ryman and I believe belongs to one of the crew. No resemblance to Tim's dog, which wasn't even born when this video was released. Don't know what you mean by "staged".
Austin's voice is so different from Travis Tritt. One of my favorite songs and thoroughly enjoyed a new interpretation of it. Of course it's Home Free so you know going in it will be good. You might want to check out the Travis Tritt version if you get a chance.
Sorry, though you're perfectly entitled to see a song however you want. I feel you're slightly misinterpreting this one. The central character is not enjoying the day in contrast to past bad days - in the central section (which you skated over a bit) he clearly says that "sometimes it's lonely" - present tense. Perhaps you decided a little early what the song was about? The singer is an ageing man, who abandoned his children years ago ("said goodbye to every seed I'd sown") and lives alone with shadows for company. I sense a little surprise in the song, that a great day comes along for no particular reason.. And he doesn't overlook the fact that life is tough for his neighbours. I don't completely agree with the message so many take from the song, that we should enjoy the simple things. I think Travis Tritt is presenting a character study of a man who made his bed and now has to lie on it, but sometimes has a day that makes him glad to be alive. But the most important point - who cooks rice in a microwave??
Travis Tritt - Anymore (from Live & Kickin') ua-cam.com/video/rzE5nbWdKTs/v-deo.htmlsi=bH839Cbql0_DQ2Eb you get his personality and fan friendliness it's no wonder that HF covered a Tritt song . wish they'd cover Anymore too
Tim is on the highest harmony at the climax of the song....chance on bass. These dudes are awesome
Just a note: Tim is doing the high harmony on this one and Chance is on bass.

Austin is right at home in that environment. I love that you take in the lyrics and really dive into them. It’s what makes you a great reactor. ❤
Actually I would have liked to see more attention paid to the lyrics, which are much more complex than was presented.
This a favorite of mine, the video is so Austin heavy. They did a fantastic job with this. I really enjoyed watching your reaction to their music.

Austin is beautiful inside and out!!! The boys are great as usual!

HF killed it as always! Anxiously awaiting your reaction to the Bass Gang's cover of Home Free's Skull and Bones.
Now you need to watch Travis Tritt's version. It was a hit a very long time ago. No one does this song better than he does but I do think Home Free knocked it out the park too.
This song is so awesome! They all sound so good. Harmonies, beat boxing and Austin's growls. Love this song so very much. Love your reaction.
I like your take on the lyrics. We really need to appreciate the wonderfulness in the ordinary. 😊
DJ thank you for playing this song . Austin is a great singer and songwriter. Austin is so energetic person. The harmonies are great. I love Home Free and they are my favorite group. Tim's low bass voice. Adams beatboxing is the best. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Chance is singing bass in this one!
I love the live church session version of this song even more then this one
I absolutely love your reactions. So down to earth 🌏 😊❤
My morning song. I’ve listened to it so many times. Always cheerful when it’s done. 😊 Thanks Home Free for singing it and DJ for reviewing it. 🐇❤️.

Austin looks great, I hope he keeps this beard instead of the more scraggly one he had for a while.
Do you mean the one he has now? This is quite an old video and Austin's beard has seen many changes since then.
I remember driving a few years ago to my cousins funeral when this song came on in my car. Its a great song and that memory will stick with me forever
I'm pretty sure the bass you heard was Chance.
I will definitely watch your dog videos 🥰🥰 lol
Yes, you need a dog or 2🐕. Love Austin and I love this song. Great reaction ❤
You said it all. We need so many more songs like this.
ONE FOR THE ALGORITHM. CHEERS!!

this song feels like a hot cup of coco on a chilly winter morning
Ohhhhh snap…I can’t wait!
I liked the original by Travis Tritt, and I like this one, too.

I mostly listen to your reaction while doing other things on my computer. As soon as I heard puppy I had to stop listen again lol

They are so tasty in this one.

I call shenanigans. That is almost certainly Tim's dog being held by Austin in what is certainly a staged photoshoot.
Nope, that's not Daisy. She just turned a year old. This song is much older.
No, the little dog is called Ryman and I believe belongs to one of the crew. No resemblance to Tim's dog, which wasn't even born when this video was released. Don't know what you mean by "staged".
If you want to experience a “mini-date” with each of the guys, check out their cover of “Think a Little Less” 😆
Love the review..but the bass is all Chance! Tim is high harmony..
Their take on "Make you Feel My Love" will make you lose your mind and your pants. I dare you.
Austin's voice is so different from Travis Tritt. One of my favorite songs and thoroughly enjoyed a new interpretation of it. Of course it's Home Free so you know going in it will be good.
You might want to check out the Travis Tritt version if you get a chance.
Hi can you do a reaction video to geoff castellucci don't mess around with jim thanks
You should go back and listen to the originals of all the songs u don’t know and react to them and say which version u love /
Like better.
