No laptops, no in ear monitors playing click tracks, no miming or lip syncing... Just a bunch of guys on stage playing good music and having fun doing it.
    DAMN I miss that era!

No one locked their doors at night. Women stayed home and baked pies and placed them too cool on windowsills, and kids played freely, roaming the neighbourhood unmolested.

I was working security at this GNR show in Saskatoon. That night was something else.
As the band tore through the set, two almost naked girls strutted onto the stage, pizza boxes in hand. The entire security team was caught off guard with that one.
Axl's puzzled expression mirrored ours as these girls casually handed out slices to Slash and the rest of the crew. The crowd went wild, unsure if it was part of the show or just a fan-driven stunt. Behind the scenes, we were in a bit of a dilemma - do we step in or let the party unfold?
In the end, we decided to let it ride. The surprise on our faces matched Axl's as we watched the stage turn into a fest. It's those unscripted moments that make live shows unforgettable, man.

That episode was part of the show. The man who was with the girls was one of the crew. In South America (especially Argentina) they did the same thing with pizza but without the girls and it was the same guy.

Bands don't do that, I've seen lots of concerts, I don't recall any headliner playing a set that's over 2 hours long. They look awesome to me here. It's just hit, after hit, after hit, after hit. There is absolutely no filler. It is unbelievable what an amazing rock n' roll band they were. It's such a shame we didn't get 5 more albums with songs of this quality on them. One of the coolest bands to ever do it, I'm so thankful we have videos like this of them in their glory days.

Probably the sloppiest rock'n roll band in the world but they didn't give a... slice of Domino's. Great energy, power and musical expression. One of my all time favorites for sure!

Axl’s voice and Energy just great. I have seen them live more than 10 times. Never Axl with this quality of voice. Lucky guys that went to show on 1993. Hmmm….Axl kept the same shirt full concert.

Okay so its like this...the body reaches exhaustion and then you get your second wind. Anything after that is autopilot , which usually occurs after the 2nd year of touring. I think G&R toured over 3 years during this era so what you're seeing is the band running on autopilot AKA instinct.
