- How to install retrofit projector headlights! Projector retrofit install DIY!
This video will show you how to install Bi-LED projectors into your factory headlights! We will cover everything you need to know before attempting this retrofit.
This has to be one of my favourite mods that we have done to my white Portal 79 Series so far! If you are on the fence, just do it! And do it yourself!
You will need the following:
Bi-LED retrofit kit
Basic hand tools
Automotive Black Silicone
We cover every step of the retrofit process in detail so that your finished product will be superb. The basic premise is that you will bake your headlights for around 5-8 minutes, remove the lens from the headlight, remove the shroud from the reflector, install the aftermarket Bi-LED projector, and finally seal the headlight back up.

What a poor cutoff for the projectors! What substandard stuff is this?
They have full adjustment left and right as well as up and down. Thats also 1m away from the roller door.

Yes any factory headlight with H4 Globes
How do you control the the motorised adjuster?
@@christurner68 we haven't released the controller but the motors get installed into the headlights so they are future ready.
So I assume these are not street legal lights
Bi led lights are street legal. If you decide to do red and blue flashing rgb while driving on the roadway, you're going to have a problem.
Just keep it white on the street.
Bi-LED projector swap is illegal in, at least Europe (possibly elsewhere also). Any other light source, besides the one, designed to be used in original headlight assembly, is not leagal to use. Also, vehicles with Bi-LED headlights must be equiped with self leveling headlight beam mechanism.
WTF! The output is about 5 degrees off from being level with the ground. That’s absolute trash. Wouldn’t get that with Mick’s HID retrofits
Thanks for commenting. That roller door is around 6m tall and the vehicle has a massive 5 inch lift and 37's so it looks very deceiving.
