- Today we are moving muck with some spring harrows! We normally use the heavy chain harrows and thought we would give the spring harrows a try on our long grass!

Wonkey lines
stormed eager Winner Winner chicken dinner!!! 😀
I was 32 seconds after him
Idk if I ever remember putting this comment tbh😂
Someone needs to make this farm a map for FS19.
Ya
Daniel Abendroth someone is now.🤙
@@d-padclips3738 I know and I can't wait!!
I'd like to see and hear how the whole farm looks, like all of your buildings with pop ups saying what they are ,with a voice over of u telling us what they are used for maybe? I dunno just a idea for a video only a drown shot really shouldn't be to hard and will be great content and good insight to the farm ...
Ty B I said pretty much exactly the same about 6 months ago!
William Durrant would be such a great video with little work just maybe a few hours editing to make it look decent in my opinion but I’m just a stoner watching UA-cam all day lol 😂
A walk around video of the case would be great tom specs history etc as always great stuff !
You and your dad should do a tractor run for charity 👍🏻
I think your father is great, he is so down to earth. I find your videos so educational for people who know nothing about farming, like me! You are doing a great job, thanks!
Great vid tom
How about a tour of the shop and maybe something more on your sheep
Maybe worth investing in a spring tine grass harrow? Seems suited to your farming operation, can get them with seed boxes on aswell
I want to see the telehandler video . The one that you are getting on demo
Wonky lines
One time, me and my uncle were rolling and he let me have a go and...
A new fence was put in!
@@anthonysowney6644 I'm 11
Can u do a video on the to case 885 with your dad good work
Yes
I feel a bit better about catching fencing and my wonky lines now, especially as I only have a chain harrow on a 1954 Grey Fergie 🤣
Father is never happier than when he's fondling some grass !
Heelo from the west of Ireland
Is this a farm or a golf course? Tell Ginger Warrior lines don't matter, coverage does! Lol
Nice job Tom. Fields looking good. Wished I could grow lawn this green in Arizona. 🤔
280th! GOOD AFTERNOON TOM, LUKE, AND THE GINGER GUY! Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA 😮
Just curious to know now its been a few months on. Did you notice any particular improvement in the sward quality this year using the spring tines rather than the chain harrows?
Please get a Zetor forterra or Zetor proxima out on demo some day
OMG I couldn't sit on that seat. I'd end up throwing up. 😲😲😲😲🚜🚜🚜🚜
Did your dad rip you a new one over the fence?
3:10 Tom explains what "Harrowing" does.
12:30 Dad gives a more detailed (hands-on-grass) explanation .
Can we get a video tour of the farm shop please
Hello, I am trying to figure out how to properly revive my grazing pasture. can you help?!
To get straight lines go up the middle of the field first pass. So half the field the half it again it works ! Don’t turn around on yourself go every other. Hope that makes sense.
We’ve all been there catching in fences 😆 Love the drone shots!
X
First time harrowing dragged up 4posts not keep 2 ft away from the fences
Tom - Please clean the inside of the tractor glass then we can see what your work is doing! Thanks!
Obviously it’s not silage season but when it is you need to make silage videos!!!
Tell your dad, that you need a decent tractor, not a cheapo job like that one you have. (Massey, JD or New Hol) plus anti crash software for drone lol OH nearly forgot Autosteer too. prevent wonky lines too
You budget to what you can afford, and which is cost effective to the running of your farm. Nothing wrong with there tractors
Why Tom do you always carry that rucksack on your back what's in it pl do tell
Hows the Rugby pitch looking?
What's the difference between a chain harrow and a roller
Great video again Tom!
A face off on straight lines with Mr P Senior would be funny.🇬🇧

he cant do straight lines BENDERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Just been on the chain harrows this week as well. I pulled up a couple of horse shoes while I was out, glad it was before I mowed! Never mind about your lines, a blind man would be pleased to see em 😉. And yes... I caught a post with the harrow frame as well 😣
Can't you go in a straight line
Never see any vermin on yr farm , how you control it is of interest
Hell fire mon your lines aren't straight
Check out the new irn bru add perfict for your dad
Looks like Stevie wonder was driving
what kind of hurliman do you have
The ginger warrier needs to wash his clothes
The fence had a harrowing experience.
No beauty in straight lines Tom. Lol. We use spring tines here very versatile as you can adjust the aggression
Are you deaf yet .?? Get ear protection, ,
Y does ur dad sniff everything
Think them lines arnt quite straight
Wow - look how young you look 😅
good luck with lambing
I fucking love grass
Hi Tom. What was Dad like when you broke the news about the damage done when you caught the fence ? 🌿🚜🚜🚜🚜🌿
Any info about the song at 3:45?
Lines look dead straight to me, but I do have a Specsaver appointment next week. I am sure I saw your dad hit that fence, last year. Never mind. to an ex grain merchant who concentrated on arable, your vids are educational. If the name rings any bells with you, I did know Paul Watkins - cattle cubicle sheds in the 70's, vacuum silage.
Hi TOM, love your channel. How many cows do you milk? Like to see your milking operation. Thx Dan
Can you do a tour of your farm and your horse
I'm always wondering how many cows you're milking vs how many total dairy cows you have. Also, how many if other kinds of animals do you have? Did the issue with the cow's feet get resolved? Do you intend to grow your highland herd and by how much? Thanks for the video.
What’s your experience using a broadcast seeder in conjunction with a Chain harrow versus a spring tine harrow? We’ve been operating with a chain harrow for a few years and are contemplating making the move to a spring tine harrow. Only issue, it’s hard to come by spring tine harrows in the States and it’s been complicated by covid (can’t get equipment made in Europe here right now).
The amount of bouncing you were doing, you could start charging customers, like an amusement ride. I was laffing so hard.
Late comment but found this video so funny, wonky lines, funny looks at camera while faither talking, sneezes, had a good laugh at the excessive bouncing going over part of the field, done that tooooo.. Great content always thanks for sharing
Only Spring Tines? You don't need some kind of bars to level molehills and wild boar damage?
Here's the secret: keep your eyes looking about 100 meters out in front of you. If you look just over the hood, you're weaving. You drive where your eyes go.
Tip for straight lines. Get the right way round and look at something directly in front of you and keep the middel of the tractor lined up with the thing you are looking at the other end
Exactly. My dad used to plow with mules and he taught me that.
@@gainesarnold3561
Yes. I'm 14 years old and that's how I was told to do it
What about the fence snag?
Tom didn't break the fence :)))))) there Tom now your Dad doesn't know :))))))))
You need glasses ? lol ... j/k
Tom what Drone do you use
Another good video from our Tom,but something about a dogs leg springs to mind. The Ginger Warrior will defiantly have to give you a few lessons on straight lines. Have fun tomorrow with the release.
I like Bacon, Apple Wood Smoked Bacon,,, Gotta love it.... Peace to ya...
Wonky lines Tom ! Where’s the half a million pound GPS unit Lol great video ! Love it !
Did you do a video on repairing ruts? Probably will now invest in a spring tine Harrow for out hay fields and sell the chain harrows, but interested to see what people do to repair rough fields (from our horses) thinking Dutch Harrow or pin Harrow or even a tractor rake, and then roll
Are you still using the harrow? how did you find it and would it be a good job a few days after slurrying when it has dried on the grass/ground, cheers?
Tom, I was getting dizzy in the beginning of the video I think with all that walking around. Lol! Thanks for the videos!
Great video learning something new all the time watching your videos love your dads pearls of wisdom at the end keep the videos coming and Happy Farming
Hey Tom.....you cover more ground with wonky lines!!
only 10 k we do whit the spring tines harow 21 22 km/h whit case jxu85
You answered me at one time that your soil was never bog land. And with that major ditch I don't think it is sand. Does that leave silt/clay?
The more fences you hit ... the more jobs you'll be creating for yourself to repair them !! Soon learn to take a little more time and do less damage :-)
Great video, love a bit of harrowing on the grassland, looks a nice tractor to do it with to, I have been chain harrowing on my 1948 fergie today lovely day for it 😁
Great vid I don't care if lines aren't straight as long as the job gets done 😀 👍 👍 good job Tom
Hi tom we have a dalbo maxiroll green line 300 it’s a really great bit of kit brilliant for ruff storped up ground Harrow and roller Combo
Maybe has been covered already but how did the idea of the farm store come about? Do most Dairies in your area sell to creameries , Cheese plants, or sell as raw milk to I assume neighbors? Love the videos you do an awesome job.
I see your drainage ditches. Who maintains them - the government or the farmer?
What kind of a farmer has such crooked lines?
You mentioned a video re selling In Calf heifers which has not appeared yet. Love to see that.
Can you do a video about your milking parlour explaining your setup and all that good stuff
Don’t worry about it don’t know about u I don’t like straight lines and I never get them so I so pose its a good thing haha haha
Lovely piece of kit Tom they do a great job to get grass growing. Like your video and the ginger warrior.
hi tom me and my wife are thinking about get in a small holding for sheep and beef cows so what sort of licenses or permits do we need thanks P.S we are now to farming ..we both like the videos you mack thanks yours sean reilly
We had a set of spring harrows afew years ago, bid the silage fields, didn't think it made any difference to the grass, wasted diesel and made stripes in the fields, there lying underneath a hedge now, may try and sell them on gumtree.
Good video Tom an wi no disrespect there are tractor driver's an Stockmen an u are undoubtedly a stockman o the highest calibre so no need be ashamed o not quite gettin the tractor drivin spot on 👍💪💪
More like to much Guinness lines from Tom🤣 🚜🚜🍺🍺
Hey, I'm looking to get new tires on my utility tractor, and like the tires on your tractor what size tire and wheels does that tractor have?
Tom what make is that harrow because im thinking of upgrading from a chain harrow
Lol don't hit your head on those bumps going across the field.
Top job spring harrowing Tom, gives such life to the soil, we are doing it for years on our farm
How are megan and kate doing? They are really cute, but megan seems like a bully.
no you onr the best
You can do better than those wonky lines Tom .When are you going to do a milking video and great video by the way 👍
Wat up does the case have
