This is so beautiful it captivated me as soon as I saw it, we are so lucky that you have done all the accompanying videos for this and thst it is in real time, also that you are sharing your thoughts about the drawing as you progress through the picture, there aren’t any voice overs you’ve recorded it all as it happens. Also being a person who is hard of hearing I’m glad of the new microphone as well there is no problem hearing you. Thankyou for all the effort you put into this to enable us to progress in our art journey, my drawing board is already set up lol
Thank you Margaret, I'm pleased to know the new microphone has improved things and you're looking forward to this one, Now you get back to the drawing board and get some graphite on the go, I want to see a masterpiece on the community section 👍👍👍
You sir are so underrated as an artist. I love all your graphite drawings Jon and how much you explain and try to help others. I know I am responding late to this one but somehow I missed it when you posted it. Might have been during the period I had artist block and needed a break from art.
Only started drawing a short while back , tried it as a new hobby in retirement, tried this , results not perfect but I am very pleased with what I did achieve ,I can see my mistakes and will learn from there . Thank you very much for the tutorial . I have learnt so much that can be used in the future
This was very eye opening for me. Youre going from a natural middle point which seems much more logical to me. Putting down big shaped and shading, then taking away for highlights and adding texture/details. Much more logical way of using the mediums.
This definitely one for us beginners. I'm not going to have a go at it until sunday afternoon though as i have other plans. I'm going to trap some light molecules in a box on friday (just to prove it can be done) Seeing as light travels at 186,000 miles per second it'll probably take me the whole day. Saturday is rest day then, sunday morning going out to catch a unicorn. Thanks Smoothie o/
Thank you so much for your great videos and inspiration. I am trying to get back into drawing after a lifetime away from it and your drawings are so much of an inspiration and exactly the kind of work I want to do. After watching many of them here I signed up for your Patreon so I could see the full videos. So glad to support you with that little bit that I can. Please keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for joining Patreon, its greatly appreciated! I hope you get lots of info, tips and techniques to help you with your drawing, feel free to post your work in the community section any time, we are a friendly and supportive bunch, I'm sure you will enjoy it over there.
truly, you're a good impressionist. yes it's subtle yet captivating. i've learned a new technique from you again and definitely will give it a shot. i'll make a little cabin as well with a chimney with a whiff of smoke perhaps. you gave me so much ideas with your 'erasing' things.
Excellent Video including the editing. Thank You! The audio was excellent too. Also; I like the way you let the video continue for a while after you have said bye.
Thank you, I just got new video editing software, its a big improvement on the old windows movie maker, I'm able to do so much more with the new one, glad you liked it.
Great! - Thanks for responding. I also noticed a point just before an add popped up that warned the viewer which was a nice touch if you also did that.
your skills are amazing, looks great. My thought is the fence right in the middle is and eye stopper. When you drew it in that's all I focus on. If the fence was behind the cabin by the tree line it would lead into the picture. I been painting for 3 years and I'm still learning, and I have a long ways to go. I'm not criticizing this piece at all, just trying to learn and help.
I don't go to any class so I don't know anything with pencil drawings but u thought me what kind of pencils and stuffs shld I use.... Also I am glad that after a long trying I am finally in to it and also like painting
Thank you for another great tutorial! This scene is so beautiful and I like it so much, that I'll try to repeat it one day. Soon I hope:). Great, great drawing Smoothie, take care.
Hi Jon........as usual a wonderful drawing. I’m still not up to the pencils yet, but things are getting better and I can see myself getting back with you all soon. Take care until then. M.
Hi Martin, thanks for the comment, I'm pleased to hear thing are getting better for you, look forward to seeing you again on Patreon soon, you take care too my friend.
It will be so good to see you again Martin I have missed you, I was only thinking back to last year and remembering the fun times we had, the three amigos, take care and hope you start to feel better soon
Margaret Brownhill thank you Margaret, I trust you are well and you are getting stuck into the Madonna drawing.........and if already complete please send it to me .
Your technique is so light and simple but when I try it my pictures never look anything like yours. I'm starting this one today. I did a smaller version of this one and everyone loved it but I'm gonna use a bigger piece of paper this time. I've just started drawing about 8 months ago so I'm getting a little more comfortable trying larger paper which means more detail. Thank you for giving me all the motivation to keep trying.
Love it! I'm wandering if you do sketches outdoors. If you do, can I ask how do you see lights and darks when it's a dull grey day? Cheers for any help mate
This is what I hate about UA-cam.. a pretty young girl can get sooo many subs and likes but this man, who's way more talented than them has NOT enough! No shade tho to the artists with loads of subs that actually have talent
Funny, graphite powder, about a year ago ,cut a long story short, sharpened My pencil rubbed My finger in circles made some great dark clouds. Now you know why I subscribe to this , Channel, Same waveband.
It's so beautiful sir, I would love to draw like you but it was always problem that trees and cabins were my problems, I will always love your drawings, I sometimes do a realistic drawing, I wish I would draw like you sir :)
Mind blowing technique sir...i want to draw like u sir but unluckily some important suplise like pencil erasers and pointed erasers aren't available here in pakistan sir...
Thank you Mohammad, sorry to hear you cant get all the supplies, some sellers on ebay and Amazon post to other countries, might be an option if postage is not too expensive?
Hi Jon, another beautiful sketch, I’d love to watch the real time videos but I’m not sure about committing to a monthly membership, would it be possible to buy separate projects for a fixed fee? Just a thought!
Hi Suzanne, and thank you, there's no commitment joining Patreon, you can join for one month for just $4, and cancel the following month without any problem, this gives you a full month to do the project, plus you will get full access to all the other project, tips & techniques videos if you wish, some people do join for one month just for a certain project then cancel after the month, and in a lot of cases they re-join several months later to do another project, so I guess that's the equivalent of buying the project + extras for a fixed fee of $4 or £2.90 in pounds, I think that's an excellent deal 👍

Absolutely better than a picture!
That is unbelievable, absolutely amazing, from a beginner, :)

It seems like you aren't doing that much, yet a beautiful picture pops out of the carbon powder. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent.

Firstly health. What is the brand and feature of the white pen you use?
Thank you, the white pen is actually a pencil eraser, its made by Koh I Noor.
@@smoothie77drawingpainting Thank you
The left side has a bad reflex on water. You have dark areas and good perspective in your draw.
Красота, вот бы масляными красками это написать!
çok güzel çizdin eline sağlık.
learned a lot again! i only have a inspirationblock, i can't find nice landscape that are easy to draw
Hi Astrid, Try google images, I find them very inspirational, thanks for the comment.

Очень красиво!!! Чем вы пользуетесь,что это у Вас карадаш стирашка.!??? Ксожалению не знаю языка.!!
Things like this make me regret not taking GCSE art so much
