    great video as always. 17 minutes flew by. Just bought this pedal so looking forward to replicating some of the cool patches I hear in your demo. Nice to see you use a basic saw wave to show case how beautiful the effect can be.👍

    Thanks for the mention! I didn’t notice the bug you mentioned. Hope they update the firmware.

    Lovely demo. Quality samples and input. Have they fixed the reverse bug by now?

      They have not issued any updates as of yet unfortunately.

    so sad they dont produce the "specular tempus" anymore. also the "specular reverb 3" was a dream - I really regret I sold it back then when I need some money 😞 the pigtronix sounds really good. I also love the cheaper "Flashback 2"-Delay from tc electronics - sounds really warm and got also some nice mod-fx. but maybe not that flexibal as the pigtronix and I really like to have my pedals have the outputs on the back - so they dont take too much room with cables inside. so the pigtronix is a really interesting option.

      The tempus is discontinued ? ouch

      @skullhqx 2 роки тому

      @@YukiTheSynthDragon I don't think it is discontinued. It's still mentioned at GFI's site. It's more likely bad availability due to shortage of components.

      @@Jason75913 Good to hear. If you want one, maybe now is the time to get it. I have three. Started with one and later replaced two H9’s with two Specular Tempusses/Tempi (?). Benn Jordan did a good video on it btw.

    Nice pedal witch a nice price too. Love it has midi. Would be interesting how it functions with midi tempo engaged. Don't like the sample ending glitch though. But maybe they can fix that with a firmware update.

      I need to get around to either buying the Strymon or Meris midi box so I can use Midi safely eith all my Midi over TRS pedals. I want to see how the dig v2 for sure takes clock but yeah it would be fun to see how some of the pedals handle it.

    • @skullhqx
      @skullhqx Рік тому

      @@YukiTheSynthDragon Whyj do you need a midi box? It isn't difficult to go from 5 pin to TRS. I myself use a Retrokits RK-006 as my midi hub and that already is (1/8") TRS. All my midi cables are, depending on the connector of the synth, either 1/8" audio cables or a cable that goes from 1/8" TRS to 5 pin midi. Or do these pedals you mention have a proprietary interface?

    • @YukiTheSynthDragon
      @YukiTheSynthDragon  Рік тому +1

      @@skullhqx the interface should just accept a midi to trs cable but I want to make sure they are opto isolated per the midi specific. I believe the midi boxes on question do that.

    • @skullhqx
      @skullhqx Рік тому

      @@YukiTheSynthDragon The Strymon Conduit does apparently, you are correct. Well, the odd thing is it indicates their pedals have no opto isolators on the midi ports. Afaik pedals like the Boss DD200 have opto isolators on their (trs) midi ports. Maybe it is because it is a combined expression/midi port on the Strymon stuff? Still, using a regular trs to 5-pin midi cable should work. I never experienced ground loops with midi on my setup. The only times I have ground loop issues is with usb-powered synths/audio stuff (I got a 1010music Bluebox as a sub mixer for example). Usually powering from a high quality usb psu (like an Apple charger) works well. I even power daisy chain my three Specular Tempus pedals without issues. So I’m not sure if something like the Conduit is always needed. I mean I have an Argon8m and Cobalt8X and they are even connected to usb (plus din midi, plus audio) for the app to work with them. No issues there, but maybe I’m just a lucky with my specific equipment and power combination. Have you run into issues regarding this?

    • @YukiTheSynthDragon
      @YukiTheSynthDragon  Рік тому +1

      @@skullhqx I have pretty noisy power in my area even with a very good psu. I could probably get away with no isolation but I want to play it safe. I think the reason the 200 series is isolated is as it follows normal midi over 3.5mm.

      nope, sold it long ago since I felt it as not very good for the kind of stuff I do.
