Can you do any editing on the device? I don’t see a way to do tone shaping for example (hi and low cut). Manual is unclear about what edit mode allows you to do
As far as I remember (been a while) you can edit most of the parameters in (sub) menus. Alternatively, you could prepare most of the presets with the SpecLAB editor.
I could say that oscillators can be associated with different vibrational architectures, with which we identify and find ourselves according to particularities, filters represent the way we get to vibrate emotionally, and the effects represent the way in which the structure of our being resonates in the depth of specific sensitivity soul and spirit. Specular Tempus generates a state of emptiness in consciousness (somehow takes you out of time - stops the mind / a state of "STOP").
The Oil Can delay on the collider is just great. On the other hand I like the lush reverbs on the Specular Tempus better. But if I had to choose amongst both, I'd most likely go with Collider thanks to its better interface.
Putting a Peak through a reverb is like giving Bruce Lee numchucks - looks cool and badass but not really necesary to do flying kicks and the one inch death punch.
Thanks! It's changing constantly but over the last three years my Top 5 (without a concrete order) would be: - Waldorf Iridium - Dreadbox Typhon - Korg opsix - Novation Peak - Elektron Digitone
GFI if you want solid delay/reverb standards with some creative touch. MOOD II if you're searching for an inspiring experimental pedal that can also cover some delay and reverb but is focused more on granular textures. Or get both to combine the best of two worlds :)
For reverb, my favorite is Empress Reverb. It sounds good in every setting and pairs excellent with synthesizers. I also like Strymon and Merris a lot, but Empress has raised the quality bar even a bit higher. thomann.de/intl/empress_effects_reverb.htm?offid=1&affid=397 Demo video: ua-cam.com/video/N1kn4kKsWyk/v-deo.html

I have chosen this box rather than the Collider, though it was close...

@@limbicbits "Analog Dry Thru" is a feature I like about the Specular...I love my Source Audio C4, tho - best guitar synth I have encountered.

Be water isn't everything, my friend
What’s your favorite synth? Also this thing sounds nice :)

@@limbicbits I totally agree on Typhon, Peak and Iridium. I just can’t seem to gel with the Digitone. Maybe I should give it one more try.
This or Mood II from ChaseBliss? Anyone?

Sounds good. Are the dry patches from the sound banks you sell?
Yes! All patches in this Demo are from the Permafrost Sound pack (limbicbits.com/novation-peak-patches-for-ambient-techno-and-electronica-permafrost/)
