A day in a life of recovery from CFS

  • I thought I would post a video showing what I eat in a day ( I eat vegan and gluten free). I also wanted to show some things I am doing to try and heal my body from M.E/CFS and what my days look like. I really don't do very much, but am hoping as I continue in my recovery to do more, but for now I am focusing on resting as much as possible in order to heal my body. The video is not the best as I am just learning how to do editing and with this illness, don't have the energy to put a lot of work into it. In all reality this is how I look on a daily basis and pretty much spend all day in my p.js. Here is the link to the ANS Rewire program:

    Hi ! I was wondering how you were doing. Glad to see you are making progress. I'm still working on resting and pacing too. It's a long road but we always have hope.

      I've had ups and downs, but that's how it goes with this illness and recovery isn't linear. I was able to go to families house on Chritsmas Eve and Christmas day, which I was big for me as I was bed bound last Christmas. I have had flares of symptoms off and on since Christmas, but not nearly as bad as before. I feel better though when I stick to my schedule. I'm really hoping this is my year for recovery. How have you been doing?

    I was out to the Dr yesterday and then didn't sleep well last night so I feel totally drained today. I've been resting most of the day. Hoping I'll have a little more energy tomorrow.

    so nice to get an update from you! I do green juice almost every day too and use coconut oil and sweet potatoes with cinnamon and flax alot too! I make berry smoothies alot too I feel like I am slowly getting better! I prob need to meditate a little more. I have dnrs that I did.. it helped some with the anxiety and depression.. I sorta wish I had started with ans... have you been able to walk at all yet or go for a short shopping trip or anything yet?
    Hopefully you sleep well tonight!..... I just seen that you can go shopping every now and then.. That's the same as me....

      I was doing short walks outside when the weather was nice, but haven't done any in a while. I feel like I have been doing extra things with the short shopping trips lately, so I don't want to overload my body. Although Monday when I did the sauna I walked on the treadmill for 2 min at a very slow pace and then Tuesday we went to cut down our tree and I walked around the property a bit. So far no payback and i don't think I will have payback.

      @@kathystoner5239 this is great.. I can do more stuff without pay back too.. but my baseline still isn't health! ughh! but I think we are going on the right road,!

      Sounds like you're doing great things for your health! I was able to do a few shopping trips( usually riding in electric cars to save energy, unless it's a small store). I did a 2 min. walk on the treadmill at the gym a week ago and then did the sauna at the gym, but haven't done much else other than stretching. I have ups and downs with symptoms, so I don't want to push to hard. Since I didn't have much payback with the 2 min.wslk, I would like to do 2-3 min for a while or maybe fo some qi gong on my off days.

      @@kathystoner5239 i have alot of ups and downs with symptoms. but I have walked for 45 mins and done a full week's grocery shopping many times in between the ups and the downs! keep going.. slow and steady!

      I'm still battling with this illness. I havent made any progress for quite a while and still spend a majority of my time in bed. I got burned out for a while, so I stopped doing a lot of things, although I still do some short meditations and my stretching. I'm ready though to go all in with my healing protocol. I'm tired of having this illness! I'm going to do an update video soon.

      Is the fatigue/weakness the reason your bedbound mostly?

      I'm not completely bed bound. I probably spend 5 or 6 hrs a day in bed. It is because of the fatigue, but also the other symptoms that come with M.E./CFS. I feel my body needs this rest.

      @@hollylockman9363 I dont know why for sure. I know they dont have a sure cause. I do know I was constantly stressed and didnt fully take care of myself. Plus I over exercised. I think they played a part in it.
