If I'm not mistaken the lugs in this one are 20mm, not 21. I believe the first version was 19mm.

Looks like a good deal. But if you save up ca. double the money, you can already reach used Grand Seiko Quartz territory, or - in the same range - some beautiful vintage Seiko automatic chronos. That's why Seikos above 400 are usually not for me, because I find my money spent better elsewhere.

Why would they not just do a normal size for watch straps? Why would they even do an odd size

@AlexSchwartzATV According to actual designers I’ve spoken to, it comes down to the proportions. Keep in mind that most watch companies don’t care that enthusiast like to swap out straps.
