Hey is this print paper? I have been trying to learn pencil shading but print paper is giving it to me hard. And I am a huge cheapskate to buy better paper.
It was just regular paper for printers but I also used Micron's pen, you can find really nice sketchbooks for not expensive, if you live in the US, Michaels has a lot of good options
It also depends on what type of pencils you used, if it's something like 8B, it's hard to shade with it in my opinion, better to use HB or 2B, try researching it if it's something new for you 🤓
@@vladbrovarchuk0 I have many pencils from 2h up to 6b, the think is that it is kinda hard for me to nail the gradients but it could be due to skill. I find print paper to be smooth and it must have some kind of coat because when I erase with an eraser and draw again it feels much more textured. Anyways I have now 950 sheets of paper and I am gonna spend them :). I know the bookstores have papers for draw but they are kinda expensive. Anyways thanks for the reply.
@@fjohnson-o4t almost any kind of paper can work. It all helps with the process of improving your art. I always used to practice on normal A4 print paper. My advice would be to drop the eraser. Might seem difficult to draw without an eraser but it teaches you a lot. Just practice doing gradients with pencil and eventually you'll get used to it. (some paper can be coated at times making it really horrible and far too smooth to draw on, but most print paper isn't like that and would do just fine, i notice a change in texture if I erase way too much, which is the case for every type of paper).
thanks bro,i really needed the inspiration,i'm gonna end my art break.
LET'S GOOOOO
This video is really well produced🙌
Thank you 😊
I'm kind of in a same situation lol but it isnt art school
