I appreciate your kindness toward new quilters. We need to be more forgiving of our own imperfections.
Yes! It’s not helpful at all to have anyone, even ourselves, be critical when we’re learning 💖 quilting should be fun and creative!
Your last point was SPOT ON. I have only been quilting for about 4 years now but my outlook is ... "a finished quilt is better than a perfect quilt". Thank for a great video!
Thank you so much for watching! 💖
A hundred year or more ago it was life saving to create a bed cover for the family. Now is a hobby, and I'm so happy younger people are learning skills to keep them from dying off. I think there are only a hand full of barrel and basket makers now. It's important to learn from your elders lest you starve and freeze .
Forgot to mention use wooden clapper after starching +ironing.+ cool with clapper on seam.
Thanks. I’m 78 and just started quilting. No one told me that just because the label says 2 1/4” strips
doesn’t mean it really is perfect measurement. I thought when I realized it wasn’t going to be perfect that it was a sin. Then my sister told me that the crooked lines just made it one of a kind. Thank you for your encouragement. ❤
And your sister is right! 💖🤗
Perfectly straight seams are made in factories, often by people who are not paid fairly for their work. Crooked seams are made by people who take the time to make things by hand. I will take the crooked seams every time!
@@wildflower1397 beautifully said 💖
Yes please. A video on basting with Elmers glue! Thanks! LOVE this video!
Thank you, Betty! 💖 I’ll definitely make a glue basting video very soon!
Yes!
I really enjoy your videos. You have a great personality and I love the fact you are not judgmental. I learn so much from you. I am a beginner quilter. Thank you for being you!
Awww thank you so much! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the videos! 💖
I made my first quilt when I was like 17 years old (now that's 51 years ago). I had no instructions or advise from anyone. I just put it together. I used my mother's Husqvarna Viking 6440 sewing machine and her fabrics that she had stashed. I bought the fabric for the top and made simple 10- or 12-inch squares sewed them together and then I knotted them at the intersections with yarn. The backing was a flannel and I cut it bigger than the top to use it as the binding as well. I've used that quilt for all these years. There is only one place where it has come unstitched and I need to repair it, but I just put a safety pin in it to hold it together. My youngest son loves that quilt, and he has claimed it. I never would have thought it would be something that someone would love. I haven't made a quilt since then, but I want to and have started collecting fabric and patterns. I really appreciate your 10th item on this video. I was always criticized for everything I did as I was growing up and even some during my adulthood. I absolutely love your videos, your humor, your down to earth homey loving attitude. Thank you. :)
I'm so glad you're going to give quilting another shot! It's such a fun and rewarding hobby, and please, don't ever let anyone (the notorious quilting police) make you feel bad for ANY design choices or "mistakes" you might make! Thank you so much for sharing a bit of your story, and thank you for watching my videos! I truly appreciate it!
One thing I love is the cute Blade Saver that lets me quickly snip apart my chain piecing. Its flower shape makes me smile, too.
I’ve seen those! That is such a great idea and I agree, super cute!
As a new, self-learning quilter, I just want to say THANK YOU! You are so comfortable and relaxed. You make me feel like I can do this! Keep making videos!!!
Yay! Thank you so much! That’s the goal 💖
I agree with everything you said about perfection and fabric from stores. Nobody should feel bad about their creations. Thank you.
Yes, exactly! 💖 thank you for watching!
I like your attitude towards perfectionism. There's nothing perfect in this world. So thank you for saying that a quilt top doesn't have to be perfect.
Yes! It makes me so sad when I hear about someone who quits quilting because they think their quilts aren’t “good enough” or they’re bullied by “quilt police”. Quilting is supposed to be fun and enjoyable! Perfect shouldn’t be in a quilters vocabulary as far as I’m concerned lol 💖 thank you for watching!
I occasionally teach and I always make a point of saying "There are NO quilt police!" It gets a chuckle and everyone relaxes. Quilting is a living thing, always growing and evolving. Who knows -- maybe one person's "wrong way" is the next great idea.
@@ruthnellputney2451 yes! I love that! 💖👏🏻
You are amazing! Loved all your points especially the last one. I was at a quilt meeting with a friend & she asked a member how to fix her quilt block & (mind you the advisor was a pro seamstress) she told my friend to throw it away. I could not believe her callousness. Who learns how to fix and love their work to just throw it away. That is why you & your message are so important. You are making a difference! Thank You!!
Thank you so much for watching! 💖I heard so many awful stories from people being treated poorly at different quilt guilds. It’s really sad 😢
You are so right on making your quilts with high quality fabric. The finished quilt looks, lays, and feels so much better when you invest in the higher quality fabrics.
Yes! Spending the extra money is worth it in the long run 💖 thanks for watching!
I encourage new quilters to start sewing with whatever material you have on hand! The joy is in the freedom of your creative journey, not in the performative precision production of archival quality quilts. Have fun!
I’ve received cheaper fabric and I use it to practice.
I love thrifting for fabric and I love xxxl mens shirts. Xxxl give you about 2 yards for 4 dollars.
I have a few “ugly pieces” that I practice a new block that I’m trying to invent too!
😂
My game changing tools are the Stripology rulers. I know they are pricey, but I use them for every quilt I make. Just recently found your channel, and love your videos.
Thank you so much! I need to get a stripology ruler! They look like such a GREAT tool! 👏🏻
Just discovered them, too. Love them

Exactly! Finished is better than perfect! 👏🏻💖
Thank you for your lovely video. You are so pleasant and I love your favorites!
Thank you so much for watching!
Love number 10 and so true. I totally agree with you.
It's suppose to be a joyful experience.
💖💖💖
Yes, having a chill cat is also a must have for quilting, so I got one of those too when I started
Hahaha! I love it! They help so much!
Miriam, oh MY goodness! This was so Awesome 😎👍🏻!
I am a newer quilter. I appreciate you being so thoughtful and honest about what works for you and being kind to those who don't "know EVERYTHING!" My mother and Sister were great sewing masters. They were in a quilt guild, and I was not very accomplished. My mother tended to "take over" my projects or be highly critical. I was the queen of having to rip out seams! So, now, I'm on my own. I'm learning so much from you. Thank you for not being a "quilt police/nazi!"
I just gained confidence and am able to BREATHE, it is becoming FUN.
I have a large OLISO iron, I love it, I'm ordering one of the craft size ones. I love your glue idea.
I love my wool pressing pad, that sits next to my sewing machine. I consider it a game changer for me.
Bless you and Kimmy Kitty. Thank you again for sharing this with us. 😊💖🍀🌹🐈
Liz, you are the sweetest! 💖 I’m so glad you didn’t let your experiences with your mom and other quilters stop you from pursuing quilting! It’s such a fun and rewarding craft 💖 thank you again for ALL your sweet words!
Love all 10
Yay! 👏🏻💖💖
I would LOVE a tutorial for Electric quilt 8. I am getting it for Christmas and want to jump right in! Thanks for your video!
Oooo what an awesome Christmas gift! 👏🏻 I did an intro demo/ tutorial on EQ8 you can watch here:

"A thing of perfection is an insult in the eye of God as only God can create perfection!" The Koran. This is why if you go into any of the spectacularly beautiful tiled Middle Eastern Mosques you will see one tile in each room incorrectly placed. When I read that years ago I realised it was permission to do my best but realise I can never be perfect.
Enjoyed your tip video very much. Thanks
Thank you for your joy in sharing your love of quilting.😊
I love your adorable personality and honesty. You're a pleasure to watch. Thank you for the advice on fabric. I agree that some are better quality. I want to make charity quilts and sometimes I use Hobby Lobby because it's more affordable.
Oh yeah, hobby lobby actually has many beautiful fabrics that feel like butter! Thank you so much for your sweet message 💖
I love that you are simply being yourself and that sometimes you make yourself laugh! You are a wonderful human being. ❤❤
Thank you so much for your sweet words 🥹💖
I’m making quilted travel bags for my sisters right now and said they’re purposely imperfect. I told one sister it’s an anti-theft device because people won’t want to steal them since they aren’t perfect. 😂
😂 you crack me up! No! You gotta tell your sister’s those are custom, designer bags that they can’t find ANYWHERE else! Rare and priceless 😉💖
You awesome. I enjoy your posts so much!
I appreciate that! Thank you! 💖💖
Bonjour ! Just found your channel via the glue basting podcast (you're a lifesaver as I'm just about to baste my first quilt!). I used pretty but cheap fabric for the aforesaid & having used Liberty, French Generall, Moda, Riley Blake, Art Gallery, Kaffe Fassett etc for English Paper Piecing, wow have I seen the difference ! I'll use the cheaper stuff in small sewing projects but will never again use the cheaper stuff for quilting. N° 10 was a biggie for me & stopped me making my first quilt for AGES. Kind regards from the French Pyrenees xxx
I feel the exact same with fabric! So happy you were able to push through that perfectionism and make your first quilt! Congratulations! You did it!! I hope the glue basting works great for you! 💖
Don’t know how you ended up in my feed, but it was good that you did. I’ll be looking for more of your videos.
I concur about getting the eq8. That software was a game changer for me. I never dreamed I would be designing my own quilts and even new blocks! I figured it would just be helpful to decide my fabric choices for other projects. But now I’m looking to publishing my own designs. Who’d have thunk it? Lol
I also agree about “perfectionism”. It’s overrated. As other well known quilters have said, “a finished quilt is better than a perfect quilt.” There is no better feeling than caressing a newly finished quilt and admiring it for what it is: something you created, that you put your heart and soul into and it’s finished.
Very nice meet you Miriam (sp?).
Thank you so much for watching! Yes! I was the same way with EQ8! Nice to meet you! And yes, you spelled my name right 🤓💖
The Kona solids at Joann’s are REAL Kona. Not a knock off. Great way to get it on a sale!
So true! Hobby Lobby also carries Kona, and when on sale, it’s only $6 a yard!
Yes yes yes, please show us how you sandwich a quilt. Thank you oh so much I hate that spray and have 10 tops ready to sandwich!
10 Tops?! Woohoo! I’ll be making the video in the next week or so! 👏🏻
YES PLEASE!
Omg!! So worth seam ripping round one!! & your Dad is the Best!!
I am in LOVE with how it turned out :)
Ikr?! Me too! Totally worth the extra effort!!! 🥰👏🏻💖
Love your videos!❤
Yay! I’m so glad! 💖
Thanks for sharing! Just found you recently, loving your videos. You are a real sweet heart too. Going to try that glue basting!
Aww thanks so much! And yay! So glad you’re gonna try the glue basting! It’s such a game changer 👏🏻💖
Agree with #10 completely and thank you for your list very helpful
I really like FAT Quarter Shop and Jordan Fabrics. Both of these companies have wonderful tutorials. I have only been quilting in the last few years and have learned a boat load from them.
Yes, but does Kimmie come with the chair? She is adorable! Love her cameos! I have now tried your glue basting on two of my quilts. It works amazingly well and no stinky, pricey spray. Thank you! Love your channel.
Unfortunately Kimmie is sold separately and she costs roughly a gazillion dollars 😂 I’m so glad you enjoyed the glue basting method! It truly is a game changer. Thank you for watching 💖
😂 Well worth the price!
YES PLEASE for an EQ8 tutorial!
Excellent video! Good information! Thank you! Looking forward to your EQ8 videos.
Glad I found your channel. You seem very sweet and down to earth. I'm fairly new to quilting, made my first quilt top in April of 2022 and I've been hooked ever since. I love the process but sometimes all the details, techniques, and tools can get overwhelming. The software looks promising. One thing I struggle with is buying pretty fabric and then stressing about choosing a pattern for it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and I look forward to watching your videos.
Aww thank you so much! You just made my day! 💖 I totally can relate to trying to choose the right fabric for a pattern or vice versa. The good thing is, fabric doesn’t expire! 😂 and it looks pretty on the shelf till we DO find the perfect pattern to use it on. Thank you again for your sweet comment! ☺️
LOL So glad fabric doesn't expire. BTW I don't even own a TL machine but I'm watching your video on how to clean and oil one. I might have to add one of these to my Juki collection.@@StitchObsessed
@tracyreid1670 they are fantastic for quilters! Which machine do you have? 🤓
@@StitchObsessed I bought the DX7 when I started quilting and it's a great machine but the throat space is just too cramped for quilting, so I bought the NX7 last Christmas. So far I've been loving both machines. I also do some bag making with the NX7. There are 2 ladies in our quilt group who have the 2010Q and they both love them. I like the benefits of having a mechanical machine that doesn't have all the confusing options that a computerized machine has. I also have a small Janome that I'm thinking about trading in for the TL. The Janome made many many masks during the pandemic.
Wow that’s awesome! Really nice you know several people who have that machine too! The NX7 looks amazing! I may need to add that to my “someday” list 🤓
For high quality fabrics, I suggest batiks. They are typically very tightly woven, because the designs are made by stamping on wax resist and dying several times. You can feel and see the difference when comparing them at the store. They often don't shrink as much either, because they have been washed and dried as part of the dye removal process. Of course there is a range of brands with some better than others, but I have yet to meet a batik fabric that disappointed me. :)
Oooo thank you for the tip about batiks! I think they’re beautiful, but I think for some reason I feel a little intimidated using the colors/prints. I’ll have to try them sometime on a larger quilt project! 💖
@StitchObsessed I find them less intimidating, haha. The softer edges and more organic shapes make me think of nature. I will happily take the free flowing feeling of batiks over trying to match stripes or regular patterns, lol.
@@wildflower1397 haha! It’s all about perspective! I’ll definitely give it a try!
I just found your site and loved the glue basting video. Yes, please do some EQ8 videos--I have never been able to use this product well.
Love your 10 'must haves' and especially that you cannot sew and be perfect
Yes! Things don’t have to be “perfect” to be beautiful 💖
There's also Quilters Select Free Fuse, a semi-permanent fusible powder that's washable & dry cleanable and needle friendly. You sprinkle it on and iron.
Ooo I’ve heard of this! I need to order some and try it out!
Another amazing video! Keep up the great work! 😄
Aww thank you, Bubby!!! 💖
I tried the Elmer’s glue baste, and it’s a brilliant hack!!! Thanks for the tip.
Happy to help! 💖
Fun video. I would like to see your basting process. Thanks for talking about perfection in quilting. I needed to hear that. I have tried most of Mary Ellen's Best Press scents and I like the rose, caribbean, and linen.
I’m so glad you liked the video, Chloe! Basting video is coming soon! I haven’t seen the rose scent pressing spray! I’m gonna have to try that; I love rose 🌹 scented stuff! 💖 thank you!
You can also use a walking foot and guide Frustrate line quilting
Yep! That’s true! 💖
Thanks !
You’re very welcome, Georgy! 💖 thank you for watching!
thank you so much …. i haven’t made large quilt bc it is so hard but now you taught me how to glue a quilt with elmer’s glue thank u thanks so much!
You are so welcome!
You are so right about spray basting…yuck smell and sticky mess! I loved your video on glue basting!
Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you so much for watching! 💖
I've used Elmer''s glue for years for most of my bastting, When starting my quilt "sandwich" I lay out the battining tthen run a fine line of glue zig zagging down about half way . Then carefully smooth the backing onto the batting. Turn the other half around and repeat. I leave them overnight to dry, The next day I repeat the process with the front panel, again leaving overnight to dry. If you get a wrinkle, you car moisten lightly, pull out the wrinkle and iron dry. I've never had any major prblems using this method.
Yes! This is EXACTLY how I glue baste too! Thank you for sharing!
I love your videos. Can’t wait to try school glue basting. I’d live to have lessons on EQ8. I have it but haven’t learned very much how to use it. One benefit is I like the idea of using it to audition fabric I’m going to use.
Thank you so much! I'm planning on doing EQ8 videos soon! It's such a fun software to play around with!
Yes please share how you baste and bind a quilt with Elmers glue! 💕
Hi, Jenny! I actually did a tutorial on how to baste with school glue. 💖You can watch it here:

I have been wanting a new chair but just didn't know what to buy. After watching this video I used your link to Amazon to order the Boliss office chair. Love it. I have never thought I wanted a chair with arms but it really helps to rest my arms occasionally and for helping control a small quilt in my lap when quilting on my domestic machine. Thank you for your videos. Love your relaxed style.
Oh my goodness yay!!! Thank you so much for letting me know! I’m so glad you like the chair! It seriously has changed my “sewing life” haha! 💖
I make memory quilts. It's always a nail-biting breath-holding moment on that first cut. I definitely never want to mess these quilts.
I also make one-of-a-kind quilts. I've always received high praise for my work.
I appreciate this video. Even as a seasoned quilter, I am always looking for a better/easier way.
Yes! I used to make a lot of memory quilts too. I COMPLETELY understand that feeling! Ya can’t just go buy more fabric if you have a whoopsie!
Yes. I’d love a video on how u baste a larger quilt w Elmer’s and pins.
Hello! I did do a video where I show my glue basting method. You can watch it here:
ua-cam.com/video/9BrbztHwh-A/v-deo.html
Really am enjoying your videos and your straightforward approach! I hope you do some EQ8 videos. I have it and have been trying to beat it into submission!
Lol! beat it into submission...the funny part is, I know EXACTLY what you mean by that! haha!! I'm definitely planning on doing some EQ8 videos. Stay tuned!
I would love a video on glue basting!
Awesome!! I will be making one very soon! Thank you for letting me know! 💖
I used Flatter where 6-8 corners came together. On my next quilt, I used a clapper. I got the same flat seams without adding anything chemical to the quilt. I'm designing a series of quilts that I want to publish. They all have multiple seams coming together. If I can save on my sample quilts, that would also help.
A clapper was a great help. I've been quilting since 1990!!
Yes! I’ve heard great things about the clapper! Thank you for sharing! 💖
I am a serial glue baster from sandwich to seams. I rarely use pins and find that glue allows me to production stage and piece. I’ve evolved my basting for quilt sandwich to use fusible webbing. I also use my design board which uses gravity to keep things square. EQ helps me visualize layouts and colors efficiently eliminating many coulda woulda shoulda’s. Thanks for your list
Fusible webbing?! Love that idea! And yes! I use EQ8 for that too. Haha it helps with the whole “visualization” process 💖
I’d love to see how you combine Elmer’s Glue and pine basting to make a large quilt sandwich!
I’ll make the video soon!
Just found you. The glue basting is terrific! I've been quilting for over 30 years always thread basting. This will save my back from crawling on the floor, I'm old now 🤣
Yes please show EQ8, was just thinking about getting it.
Awesome, Teri! EQ8 videos coming soon! 💖
@@StitchObsessed Thanks so much, looking forward to binge watching to get caught up on your goodies.
Idea for tutorial if you haven’t done one already. Panels. Ideas for borders, extra blocks etc.
Oh this is a great idea! I’ve done a few smaller quilts using panels and they’re a lot of fun, but I know they can be tricky to work with. Thank you for the feedback! 💖
We need to chat!! I have different wonderful Harbor Freight items I use in my quilt room. Love the Elmers glue video. Many thanks for that. Spray basting makes my lungs and brain seize up.
Harbor Freight items, huh? Okay, you’ve peaked my curiosity!

Hi Miriam! This was great information! I wanted to tell you I bought 2 bottles of Elmers Glue!😅😅
I have that creaser!
I have heard about that best press. Spray in the used it in a quilting class I took. I have a mini iron too. I have it plugged in and its ready to go all the time, but I forget about it.😅
I need to invest in a chair that will fit in my small room.
#10 is SO TRUE! Thank you! My First quilt I made this, year after not sewing. For almost 2 decades, had blocks that were not exactly perfect, but it worked, and it's on my wall. This was a great video, Miriam.
I love this! I’m so glad you liked the video, Zelda! You’ll love the glue basting! 👏🏻 thank you so much for watching and sharing! 💖
Very good point about the quilt police! I have seen lots of snarky comments from others on Facebook or You Tube posts. I like Lori Holts motto - you're the boss of your quilt. No one is perfect!
Would love to see your basting method...I don't like the spray basting either.
Yes! I love that motto! 💖 the basting video will be coming very soon! 👏🏻 thank you so much for watching!
Thank you! I am new to your channel and you are correct about the Quilting Police.😂
I posted a quilt top I finished in a group for the heck of it and to see if anyone noticed a mistake I left in it, sure enough it was spotted and the only thing the woman mentioned about the whole quilt. So rude , really!
Ugh that drives me up the wall. There is no room for that here! This is a safe space for quilters 🫣😂
Would love to see video on using EQ8, am thinking of purchasing it.
Awesome! I’m planning out those videos now, so coming soon! 💖
FQS is one of my favorite places to buy from
They have a fabulous selection!
Yes, please glue basting video!
I will be making the tutorial very soon! Thank you for your feedback! 💖
I’m hoping you are going to offer an in-depth EQ8 tutorial. Paaaaleeeese!!! I have it but it’s not intuitive for me. I end up feeling like I’m wasting so much time. However, I’d would love to become proficient so I can test drive and then deep dive all my ideas. Great content, thank you! I’m excited to try your Elmer’s’ idea 👏
I did recently make a little overview video of EQ8. I plan on making many more videos (possibly an online course) on how to use the software! Stay tuned! Here is a link to my overview video if you are interested:

Hooray for Elmer's glue! No need to buy expensive glue marketed to quilters! I use Elmer's (in stick form) instead of pins when I want my seams to match. Pins just don't work well for me and glue is a game changer. Thanks for all the good tips 😊
Great idea with the glue stick! 👏🏻 thank you for watching! 💖
I'd love to see the glue basting video, pin basting is my nemesis. I've been looking at EQ8 for ages, but I think you've helped me decide to give it a go.
May I suggest another item for your list now that I see you're a fellow lefty? Creative Grids left-handed rulers! Love them!
The blooper real 🤣
Oooo lefty rulers?! I gotta check those out! And yay! EQ8 is awesome! I hope you like it! I’ll definitely make that glue basting video ASAP! That seems to be a popular request! 👏🏻
And thank you for laughing at my bloopers 😂 I have fun with those 🤓
@@StitchObsessed Only five of the most popular sizes I think for now, but I got them all and love them!

Miriam, tyf this episode on using Elmer's Glue in your quilting. I would really like if you made a video on using this product in basting, etc of your quilts.

Thank you for making a video on the uses of Elmer's Glue in quilt construction. I'm new at quilting and your tips have really helped me.
@@kaleen6526 I’m so glad! 💖
I’ve been using Elmer’s for years. Works great I sincerely believe that is what the expensive “quilting” glue is packaging is just a little fancier. I like best press I just have a hard time paying that much for a spray. There is a DIY recipe that uses cheap vodka,I think distilled water and a few drops of essential oils. I would have to look it up to be absolutely sure and to know the ratios to use.
Oh yeah, I agree! And I always buy best press when Joanns has it on sale 😂 I’m very intrigued with the homemade spray though. I may need to try that!
I just found your tutorial on glue basting and now I am binge-watching your other videos! I love your straight forward and relaxed approach to quilting! As a new subscriber, I would love to see a tutorial on how you baste queen sized quilts. Part of my excitement was thinking I could glue large quilts rather than pinning them. I have arthritis in my hands now, so I am very interested in any technique that reduces the use of pins. Do you think it would work to glue the middle section of the top and then pin the outside edge sections to have the flexibility to ease the fabric placement out from the middle? Best wishes to you! :)
Hello and thank you so much for watching my videos! You definitely could just glue the center and then pin the outside edges. I say just figure out what works best for YOU and go for it! Thank you again and have a wonderful day!
I would love to see how you use Elmer"s Glue to baste your quilts. I stopped using the spray basting for all of the same reasons you mentioned.
Hello! Here is the video where I show how to use Elmers School Glue for basting! Enjoy! 💖

I just found you on UA-cam . I'm a beginner. I would love to see how you basting with Elmer's glue.

Hello! I use this microphone for iPhone:

I got 3 tools from $Tree from cake decorating section that does the same thing for 1.25
Wow, awesome! 👏🏻
I would love to see a course on that eq8😅
Is there anything specific you would like to learn about? I am planning on making videos on EQ8, so I want to make sure I cover what you want to learn! 🤓
Yes, please show eq8. Would like to use it (maybe). LOL
Please show larger quilt sandwiching/basting.

Yes please could you make a coarse teaching EQ8. I have the software and have never used it. Thank you. ps I love your videos.
I’m planning out some videos now! Thank you! 💖
I have a question fir you. When you sew at the higher table and sit in the drafting height chair, how do you position the foot pedal so it is comfortable?
Also, thank you for all the suggestions especially about perfectionism.
Great question! I have my foot pedal on a plastic shoe box! It works great for me! 💖 thank you for watching!!!
Can you use the clear school glue?
I’ve never used it so I don’t know. If you already have it on hand, I would recommend doing a small test sandwich to see how it works for quilting and then see how well it washes out. 🤓
Definitely a glue baste quilt method.
Hello! I did a glue basting video! You can watch it here:
ua-cam.com/video/9BrbztHwh-A/v-deo.html
How do you sew standing up? I’ve tried it with my adjustable table but my foot and hips hurt from putting all my weight on one foot while the other is on the pedal. I would love to see you demonstrate this. Thanks.
One thing that helps is using my padded foot mat. Also, I take breaks and walk around. If I haven't to do ALOT of sewing, I switch between using my chair and standing. I get the hip pain too if I stand in one position for too long. I can definitely do a video talking all about it and showing how I make it work! Thank you for asking this!
Could you pl, let me know where to buy that folky fabric from your glue basting video, that you used
For your backing?
I checked and looks like it’s a little harder to find now. But it’s called “Moonglow” by Ruby Star Society. Here is the same fabric in a light pink from Etsy. www.etsy.com/listing/1505996204/
Good luck!
YES, please… a video on how you pin baste AND glue baste.
