Golf sidekick is the BOAT of UA-cam golf! I just broke 90 for the first time 2 days ago after watching him for a couple months and struggling to even break 100. He’s helped my game more than anything!
I think whats having a huge impact aswell as golf sidekicks advice is your relaxed mind state whilst playing. Mental management aswell as game management is huge when it comes to golf. Loving the last 2 video's, cant wait forcthe next one 👍🏾
Great video. I’m in same boat. I’ve looked at my game and I’m losing most shots on the mental side, driving distance and putting. Matt turned me onto GameForge and I watched a video on the mental side was if you have a prevention vs. promotion personality and how that impacts your golf game. I’m firmly in the prevention camp so my priority on putting is no three putts. I tend to not try new stuff because my priority is maintaining, not promoting. So my main short term goal in everything I do is “Not be afraid to fail” So I’m working on a slightly different driver swing and I’m leaning where to aim. So when the swing or aim doesn’t go exactly as planned I just go play the next shot (Something else I learned from Matt) I’m also learning AimPoint and my short term goal is to read the putt with my feet and for putts inside 20’ try not to leave the ball short (this is a big deal because it conflicts with my prevention side of no 3 putts). On the mental side my short term goal is follow Matt’s advice. My mantra as I’m approaching my ball is: “Follow the Process” One of my other short term goals is to have a consistent pre-shot routine.
@@SamKingGolf Matt’s video was a start. I subscribed to GameForge/FuelGolf and there’s few coaches seminars there. To be truthful I’m not sure if the fingers thing works for me. But what does work is using your feet to feel the break. One of the things I took from Matt’s video’s on the mental side was I told myself “I can’t read greens” and used it as an excuse. So I decided to redo my putting warm-up and do most of my warm-up my dropping balls around the hole, reading the green before each putt and actual practice reading greens. Guess what if you practice something you get better. (I have no depth perception so I was baffled looking for breaks). Best thing you can do is get a level and find a 1% lope< s 2% slope, a 3% slope, and a 4% slope and feel the slope.
Big fan of gs. My two best improvement strategies were to follow his 666 routine and to get rid of my driver. Getting in the fairway from the tee is key.

Love it! The amount of people commenting a similar thing on the last video was crazy…
Congrats!!!!!!
@@SamKingGolf now it’s time to break 80!
Good to see you trending in the positive direction with the scores and more importantly your mindset!

Love the detail on this comment! Thanks man. I NEED to learn Aimpoint too… any videos you would recommend?

Whats the name of the Gameforge video you watched on the mental game. Would love to watch that myself.

Yeah I’ve tried the ‘no driver’ strategy before! It’s great for keeping yourself in play at all times!
I think the hardest part is removing ego from golf.
One time in perfect conditions using this particular club I hit it that far why not now?!
Fighting negative thoughts gives them fuel. Let them be there without a fuss and they’ll lose their grip, eventually. You can’t control them.
My Short term goal is to Not 3 putt....Full Stop from Sydney Australia...well done
Great video fantastic Birdie on par 3, you gotta get a Birdie music for when u drop one...all GSK
I might have to! They are pretty rare so it’ll be a treat 🤣
