Exploring JADAM Pest Controls

- Hi Folks! in this video we begin our experimental journey with JADAM pest control practices. This is an interesting area in how it may seem to be in conflict with the philosophy of healthy soils and healthy plants shouldn't need additional help with disease or plant insect infestations. However, one finds that even with optimally healthy soils you can have instances of imbalance in plants due to climatic stresses or other short term changes in the plant that can invite pest or disease attack. This system is a way of approaching some basic pest and disease controls that can be made by the Farmer or Gardener to help and protect their plants.
Youngsang Cho the author of JADAM Organic Pest & Disease Control has graciously gifted us a copy of this great book that we would like to pass on to someone who is interested. JADAMPESTCONTROL : I have recently become interested in regenerative and low-cost gardening practices and started some fermented plant juice last weekend! For the most part I successfully scrape off eggs and keep on top of cabbage caterpillars and squash vine borer but I have a terrible time with Japanese beetles on my blackberry brambles and grasshoppers that decimate my sunflowers. Thank you so much for sharing the information about this book!

I’ve been making KNF “potions”. So far I’ve made FPJ, OHN, bone and egg shell vinegar extraction. I’ve tried imo1 a few times but so far have only generated colorful mold. Thanks for all your great content!

I have Jerusalem artichokes growing on my property, I know this is one of the plants Youngsang mentions in one of his lectures online. I've yet to try using them but after watching this I feel motivated to do an experiment too. I will let everyone know how my experiment goes later this summer.
I love that you guys are using and sharing your experiences with JADAM practices. It is both encouragement and confidence that you are giving to anyone who wants to learn a real natural way of growing plants.

JADAMPESTCONTROL id love to learn more about Jadam. Currently, my pest fighting Arsenal is pretty limited! So would love to have more wisdom to combat this problem regeneratively, rather than chemically.
It would be wonderful if this JADAMPESTCONTROL would eliminate squash bug borers or squash bugs ! I know this September and I am not eligible for the for the drawing but I will give this technique a try.
JADAMPESTCONTROL I am growing some Jerusalem artichokes this year to experiment with as a pest control, per jadams recommendation. I'm thinking of using a Castille soap, like Bronners, as a wetting agent. I hope you'll do more videos on jadams.

Would love to dive deeper into JADAM PEST CONTROL. We’ve been using some practices on our soil health but we too have been having higher impacts from cucumber beetles and Japanese beetles this year 🤦♀️
Thanks so much for these videos on JADAMPESTCONTROL. I am about to make JWA and JS but decided to check your channel first. Your JMS videos were so helpful. Two questions: Could I used glycerin instead of JWA and how do you dilute it? Second, what do you think about using essential oils instead of the plants? Eucalypus oil instead of brewing tea, for example. Looking forward to your eucalyptus update. I hope it works.

Hi, I am sorry this is so late. Yes, the solution did work on our cucumber beetles. They died on contact. We are planning on using it this season on our zinnias and dahlias. We will update the progress in a future video. Thanks for your question.

I heard on another channel, that california bay leaves are a good repellant just generally, not sure if it would help cucumber beetles specifically. JADAMPESTCONTROL

We raised them from seeds about 4 years ago. We started the seeds in January because they are slow. Yes, they should do well in your area. Just grow in well drained soil and in a sunny local. Finding seeds has been tricky to find in past years. Good luck.
