I hit up 2 rivers Monday and got into a ton of white bass. It was non stop action. Only caught 1 tiny channel cat and about 30 of the white bass. The sugar seemed like the flow was fairly low compared to other times I tried but the pec was really moving and extremely muddy
@@ancientfishing it’s Definitely where it should be. It’s been quite a long time since steadily being where it is. Last summer we fished under the bridge at Shirland and if I had to guess it’s 5-6 feet higher then last year
When the water is high and slow like that it probably means there isn't much water going through the dam? If you go to the Castle Rock County? Park right now you will get a sheepshead every single time there is a bait in the water. Monday morning I got two fourteen pound plus catfish in my spot that I was getting twenty pound plus catfish in. Going out there tonight at like two a m.
There’s lots of water going through the dam. The lake itself is slow moving because it’s too full. I’ve noticed river flow on lots of rivers are slow as well.
My favorite fish to catch even the small ones put up a great fight!
@@LayzieXFishing yeah, pound for pound way better than largemouth.
One more question where can I catch some big Buffalos
@@Yoly727 I’ve caught some on lake Wisconsin in years past but the high water this year has moved them out of the usual position.
Is that place any good for catfish now or around October
@@Yoly727 I think the water needs to go down a bit and the algae needs to move out.
@@ancientfishing thanks👍
Where is the exact spot you were fishing?
@@YMZ-t2w summer oaks boat ramp.
@@ancientfishing thanks!

Yeah, the sugar is down to normal summer levels I think.
