He saw me looking and told me his father had recently died and needed fish for his family to get thru the winter. No one in family was old enough to work. Great job catching the poachers,,,excellent video, love the ethical fishing. I used to love getting good video of the salmon spawn near Toronto area especially the shallow streams when the big fish come up it's an amazing sight,,,Just east of Toronto are small creeks which can offer great viewing, as i dont fish myself. Oshawa creek is great. Good luck all and keep on shining.

Hopefully those out of state poachers have to spend more time in Michigan than they wanted to. That's a criminal act and truly a serious offense. Thank you to the angler who reported them and the officers who responded so effectively. I'm on the East Coast and spent this past weekend fishing inshore structure with a friend of mine. We called our DNR as there was a man who we watched put 9 tautog on a stringer. We knew at least 3 were short and a probably more. The legal limit is 4 per person at 16". I was thrilled when I received a call while still on the water from the DNR officer who checked and caught them. I don't recommend confronting poachers but calling DNR is the right thing to do in my opinion.
