- With the help of some awesome people, I'm starting my first DIY build. This is just an intro but i intend on documenting the entire process.

Can you share the free joy firmware for this wheel? My wheel came without firmware configured so Windows sees it as a controller with no buttons😅

Where do you guys all get the proper gt3 or McLaren stickers etc from?, I ha e plenty of wraps orange and carbon fibre ones , but logos from my printer onto sticker sheets looks good but it's not the same , cheers
Dude I want to build the same exact wheel, might document my build too. Have a bud who has access to a 3d printer so I can get those parts for really low cost

Nah, not yet.. the iles they sent me were fked and completely wrong so after dripping $200 on the parts that are now paperweights, I decided to bail on the project, I'll finish at some point but kinda irritated with the situation 😂
@@GTGREG Ah that sucks man! Yeah let it cool off a bit then come back to it one day. I'm just putting it all together at the moment. I did a test fit and everything seems ok so far. The parts list they provided was a bit sketchy and there are no instructions at all!
I’m excited to see how it turns out. I have the Fanatec Mclaren 650 wheel. It was a great idea for a product but horribly executed.
Me too! I also have deep love for the fanatec 650s wheel. Mclaren just gets the way it feels in your hand right. I can already tell by holding these handles that this is gonna be a quick favorite.

Hey, how's your progress on that project? :) I'm currently in progress off building Turnracing Ferrari 488 DIY wheel.. also semi wireless for Fanatec DD1
There a long story that ill share in the next video, wasnt a pleasant experience. All the dimensions were off and R Racing sent me a new plate and box after a couple months, it came in late last week., which is kinda shitty.

project died due to bad CAD file measurements. I scrapped it for now. Will probably finish it in a wired setup and be done with it.
@@GTGREG Ah I understand. Wired setup is the way to go in my opinion. I ordered a Mclaren 720s GT3 wheel from Simline. Will get in 2 weeks, I'm so excited!

I would love that, I had my plate made by a company in Canada for a decent price but the R Racing file the 720 wasn't tested and I got an email from them saying the dimensions were wrong and I had to start over 😡😡

I hope you didnt buy anything from R Racing, I just got an email stating that the dimensions are wrong and i have to rebuild the BOX and the front plate, Im out $175. STAY AWAY
