Just found your channel..As a Brit from Buckinghamshire and now in the US, I am often asked by many Americans if English homes are really so tiny and old!! I, btw, love small English listed cottages! But your channel definitely highlights the beautiful variety of homes, styles and ingenuity on offer by amazing architects and builders. Many of these homes are nestled in stunning British countryside, near quaint towns and villages, surrounded by so much history, that I miss enormously..if we had a million or two we would definitely buy one of these back home! Many of us expats miss the UK and your channel is wonderful in sharing the beauty of architecture and locations...Thank you

The feeling I get with UK new builds is that the developers often do the least they can get away with. Windows as small as they can get away with. No French doors where there could be. Ugly radiators not underfloor heating. Not even nice radiators. Not bothering to fit-out the walk in wardrobe. Skipping that 3rd ensuite bathroom. Do you know what I mean? Just seems to prioritise financial return over imagination and design flare. At least they went with a double width garage door here. I agree with Matt, a much better option.
I agree with your comment about the garage. All UK garages are that awkward size where you can't really park inside and open your door. In the end all they become is a freezing cold space to store junk. Nice to see something so useable for a change.
4:50 I certainly do agree with you Mat, far better having a double garage with one door. Most double garages have that pillar in the middle which makes it useless for large cars.
Not sure of the layout/size of the lounge and sun room, it seems like it’d be awkward to furnish, also what’s the gap above the oven? Is it for other appliances or something?
Thàts why i subscribed your channel cuz pefect detail presentation from around area outside and then open the front door. Every single room. Stairs. Upstairs until backyard.
I agree with you Matt. I had a triple garage with three smaller garage doors, and one evening, as I was parking my car in the garage, I made contact with brick work. It was a costly mistake! It's a very nice house, but I think it is a little expensive!
A very nice home. It's amazing how quickly you can get through a home when there aren't any furnishings or decorative touches to look at! I actually prefer furnished, but I realize it isn't always possible for the seller or developer. Keep up the great work! Thank you both very much.
In his own name summer they can stay in Philadelphia won’t be at this house they better try and go win and stop worring about me. Even there wives smh. $$$
Is this house built on a slab? I’m in the US and it’s preferable to have elevated built with what is called a crawl space or basement. Also - I notice even in new builds you still use radiators for heating. Do you guys not use central forced air systems where ducts are in the floor and are used for both heating and cooling? The radiators really take up wall space. Just an observation.

All these doors and corridors. I realize for the central heating but it is a series of boxes. I won't complain about my American stick built fairly open planned house with tall ceilings. This reminds of the little funny townhouse I lived in when I lived in the UK. Small boxy rooms. The heat however worked well. If the LED lighting was 2700K, it would be more pleasing to the eye, that looks like 3000K or higher which is more appropriate for an institutional installation like a hospital or nursing home. Since LED is directional, it requires control elements to keep the LED modules out of the direct line of sight. How do you get a big holiday turkey into that oven?
Nice walk-through, totally agree with the comment about the garage door, drives me mad when you get two single entrances to a double garage, how are you going to comfortably get your Lambo in? Also, nice sky-light idea.
Matt my gran used to work here when it was an old peoples home years ago. It was called The Old Rectory. It’s the big white building behind you which was the care home. My gran was the lady in charge. After it closed as the old people home it became a home for people with mental health issues. After that it closed down for years and was in a right old sorry state.
Finally, nice to see some homes now being built that aren't terraced or semi-terraced. I would imagine 90% to 95% of UK homes are terraced. My word, you pay a million pounds and even for that you don't get privacy from your next door neighbours.

Looks nice from the outside but lacklustre interior for a near £million home in Nottingham. Those floor/carpet choices are horrible and the bathrooms lack style too. There are some lovely/huge houses on the outskirts of Nottingham that deliver way better value than this.
For a new build, it’s not a very nice house. The bathrooms looks nice, but the rest of the decor, not so much. It’s just so, dull.
