Can you review the banana splits movie?
Mmm-hmm..
Yeah we love Mr. Lobo unlike how you guys don't love talking about TALES FROM THE FUCKING CRYPT
Please make the nerd bro please
COULD U DO SOME KIND OF REVIEW ON CASTLEVANIA LORDS OF SHADOWS 2? ITS ACTUALLY A GOOD GAME
Wow the cinemassacre extended universe is really starting to grow
retsz jame Rolfe has the real cinematic universe
Not marvel
Not dc
Not even the scrapped universal dark universe
But James Rolfe his cinematic universe rules
"The world is changing..."
Not anymore ☹️😩
What happened to the guy in orange?
“Mmhmm.”
-James Rolfe, circa 2019
Lol. It's all I hear
"yeah"
If you don't like listening to a conversation where people show interest in what the other says, why even watch?
@PDiggly Well, Justin Silverman shows you can listen in without making a noise.. but does it make it seem like he is part of the conversation?
@PDiggly We all have different tactics to show we're interested. To me, it seemed James was far more into the conversation than Justin was. To me it seemed like Justin's thoughts were trailing off, while James was still in the conversation. People complain too much about his mhmms and yeahs, while he's only trying to show his interest. It could also be a strategy to quickly form a reply if needed if the conversation falls flat. Mr. Lobo is a seemingly good conversationalist as he talks a lot without pause, but James seemed more prepared than Justin to jump into the conversation if it did fall through.
Does James realize he’s the horror host for the UA-cam age?
spot on!
I agree
He's very passionate about horror films and the like.
I've certainly learned a ton about horror films from him, more than anyone else.
I'd agree if we watched the movie
James is my favorite horror host.
This.
I’m all for this comment.
FNHot same here dude
Aha... Uhmm.... Mhm... Yeah...
@@Haterator that's all I hear
Love how each time Mr. Lobo hit the DVD and VHS tapes it zoomed in on it. Quality editing.
And the sound effects 😂
Right LOL!!
mhhm hmm eeyeah
My favorite part of that King of the Hill episode: Sally Field’s character says a bible verse to Hank and includes the book it’s from and Hank responds “Get out of my house. Exodus.”
That part is hilarious
One thing must be said: Mr. Lobo has the gift of the silver tongue.
Holloween
Actually met Mrs. Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson last year. She’s actually very nice and quite a beautiful lady, which is amazing considering her age! She’s still got it!
Great bod.
TayR0C The assets gotta be pushed up a bit, unfortunately lol.
But again, that’s just what came with age (68 years old), and even then, she’s still quite the lady!
jamie birch What? No, of course I didn’t lol. I said that it was a pleasure to meet her; even got a picture.
I'd still smash it✔️
@Jason Rasmussen I would not be surprised there lol. She doesn't even look 68.
The Crypt Keeper is my all time favorite horror host.
I'm surprised he didn't get any mention.
That was an original TV show that was it's own thing. They didn't present movies.
@@Meshonik this was about tv shows. Did you watch the video?
It was a mix of both. Tales of the Crypt wasn't Halloween themed, it was a horror series just like Friday the 13th was.
Yeah I wouldn't count him as a host. That show was great, but when I think of horror hosts, I'm thinking more of people who present existing horror movies, rather than original anthologies.
I came for James going "Mmm mm" and stayed for Justin's disapproving stare at the ground.
Do You Even Lift was wondering if anyone would comment ab that😆
I came to the comments to find if anyone noticed how much Justin was side eyeing Mr Lobo.
Just give him the can, get the speed 2 Jurassic park 3 one in. He at least has charisma
Please get Elvira on the show.
I met once in SF. she's super funny
The Gaming Paladin lol you might be right
Anything with Cassandra in it is instant gold. I adore that woman!
@The Gaming Paladin I don't think so. I imagine James' wife with being cool and probably would want to meet her too. Elvira isn't just for boys and men from that era. She is such an icon for girls and women too. She is such an awesome person. Mrs. Rolfe has nothing to fear.
I, personally, wouldn't mind. I would be ecstatic about it all.
"Dude! Elvira came to my house!"
@@LadyCoyKoi :
Are you a woman?
I like Mr. Lobo. He's cool. Glad you included him for this.
Sitcoms like Rosanne and Home Improvement had great Halloween episodes.
wstine79 yeah, the 90's were freaking great like that...
That King Of The Hill episode has one of my favorite lines on the show.
Pastor Junie: "The complacency of fools will destroy them! ... Proverbs!"
Hank: "Get out of my house! ...Exodus!"
mr. lobo is awesome. He clearly has a depth of trival knowledge that fits perfectly into this formula of reviews/comparisons.
You guys should make this a regular segment that just involves your landlord coming in to talk - in a psuedo attempt to make him forget about the rent.
You're awesome!
I saw The Halloween Tree when i was young and never caught the name, for years i thought it was some dream or something. eventually i rediscovered it. I loved that movie. so much.
Oh god same. I remembered it for years but not the name.
Same for me, I remember googling it a couple years ago, like "Halloween movie where kid gets appendicitis" or something like that lol, and found it. Hidden gem for sure.
It's available to stream on Amazon to rent or buy. I bought it on DVD a few years ago on Amazon.
Mr Lobo is really compelling to watch talk about horror. Very cool
I agree.
Mhhhh, yeah
I still watch Sven Goolie every Saturday
Why didn't they talk about Svengoolie!?
They mentioned him briefly.
So you're the one
Svengoolie! Love him. It's a shame they don't have more horror hosts nowadays like they used to have.
I prefer groovy ghoulies
Cinemassacre Monster Madness has become a Halloween tradition at our house.
Same
wstine79 same here he’s the best thing for the month of October now, it seems every thing just died out on Tv now
The way Mr. Lobo delivered the "I'm gonna do some horrible things to your friend" line was HILARIOUS! Well Played Mr. Lobo.
Man, Elvira was like my crush when I was a kid. My favorite horror host.
The "Mmmm-hmm" and "Yeah"s are so audible
It's all I hear
It’s kind of distracting
Roseanne, The Simpsons, and Home Improvement - trifecta of amazing tv shows
The Roseanne Jack o lanterns were awesome
More power?
I'm going to supercharge this candy dish! R-R-R-R...
Play "Hello Darkness My Old Friend" whilst slowly closing in on Justin's face.
Mhm
Mhm
Yeah
zathaniel James Rolfe Halloween 2019
Uh huh
Yeeeah
Huh
Hmm
Yeah
He must be a Gemini.
Gd now I cant not hear it lol
I can't watch it
These newer Cinemassacre videos constantly have James in my head going “mmm hmmm, yea mmm hmm” days after I watch them.
I like this guest a lot. Bit of old-school charm about him
Best episode yet. No one talked over each other and the only time anyone interrupted, they apologized. Great stuff guys. Wish Lobo was a regular. Bring him back for some random horror movie reviews in the future! Keep these 3!!!
The Real Ghostbusters episode, “When Halloween was Forever” is a go to for me.
Samhain was dam creepy
That is a great one!
"WORDS!"
"mM Hm, hm, mmmmmM."
~ Cinemassacre 2019
With basically the death of over the air television as a form of entertainment and now to where you can binge watch an entire season that gets released at once, these Halloween, and other holiday, TV shows and commercials are basically a thing of the past now. :(
The one Halloween special I would remember as a kid was the "Disney Halloween Treat" special show that they would show during October. The Intro song was always my favorite.
In the Tampa Bay area I grew up with the Creature Feature on Saturdays w/ Dr. Paul Bearer. He actually lived in my suburb and was the goto place for trick or treating every year. Awesome guy and instilled a love of horror films in me that stands to this day.
How did they forget the hellraiser cereal: Ceno-bites
Good one!
One of my favorite Halloween memories is still watching Snoopy fly around as the WW1 flying ace.
I thought Snoopy vs the Red Baron was Christmas? They play the song during Christmas time.
Sovereign Snorlax
The flying ace scene is from the Great Pumpkin special.
That said, despite my familiarity with the song, I never noticed the discrepancy. Guess the whole “good will to man” didn’t fit the Halloween season 😄
@@carlosnieve1225 Hmm. Odd.
Sovereign Snorlax love that Christmas song, snoopy and the Red Baron
@@thedude19766 One of my favorites, haven't heard it in years though.
I can see the headline in the tabloids:
"Mr. Lobo on rampage in video store."
"I don't know if its something I can say to your audience, frankenshit"
> Doesn't know about AVGN
Yes XD
I was being ironic...
@@MisterLobo Oh my bad, it's hard to spot irony nowadays.
The Elvira Doritos cut out in grocery stores is clear memory from the early 90s. I would love to have that in my man cave.
FR35H BOXX PODCAST it's two of my favorite things, a vuluptious, slightly strange woman, and a spicy, cheesy snack, but what's that about Doritos?
I have one
I'm very glad they finally talk about The Halloween Tree even for a brief moment. I used to see that air on WB around Halloween time back in '94 and onwards. It was one of my favorites growing up. Happy Halloween! 🎃
He’s not really a horror movie host, but The crypt keeper is just the best ever
The Crypt Keeper is great...and I do Host Horror Movies(for 18 years)--when i'm not a landlord.
Take a strong shot every time the landlord accidentally bumps into something and you’ll have a good night with this review 😄
Or everytime you hear mhmm
Mr. Lobo is captivating, he really is well spoken. Definitely gonna check out his stuff more now!
I'm so happy that they mentioned *Mad Monster Party?!* It's my all time favorite thing to watch every Halloween 😍😁
Speaking as a guy who works as a landlord, it’s really nice to see our kind depicted accurately as people who have an active interest in weird horror and are quite nice when you get to know us.
... but yeah, we do want the rent.
@@BadWisdom523 Right On!
Thanks Lobo, crushing it.
James the best contemporary horror host.
Redlettermedia are way more knowledgeable and put more effort in their videos
Landlord is back, great character!
These comments read like Crash Test Dummies lyrics.
Mr. Lobo's cool! We both share the same taste in classic monster movies, Halloween TV Specials, and cheesy monster commercials.
Thanks! You have great taste!
James has really embraced the "yeah" . I can't wait for Seth MacFarlane to put a montage of his "yeahs" in Family Guy.
Lori Bakker: Wow. Wow. Wow.
In the time it took me to read this comment he said it about five times 🤣😂
Mr. Lobo: Saying something very interesting.
James: NHM!! NHM!! NHMM! NHMM! NHMM! NHMM! NHMM! NHMM! NHMM! NHMM! NHMM
God damn it James...
Feels like: "Dude, I'm making noises, because I'm signaling you that I don't wanna hear what you have to say. Let me talk instead!" Its really unnerving.
YEAH!
Justin: .........
He doesn't wanna get evicted!
Maybe he's a DUNE fan and really likes to roleplay as the Count, Hasimir Fenring _"Hmmmm-m-aaahhh..."_
Their Landlord might actually be my favorite member of the cast, here.
His laugh is the best! :D
Too kind!
Mr Lobo is still my favorite Horror Host, but Elvira still has the better T&A 😅
Growing up in Chicago, Svengooli was easily myv favorite horror host
Berwyn?!
OW OW OWWWWW!!!
The Justin mannequin looks so life like.
That Hereditary head banging at the end tied this off nicely.
Loved the horror host discussion. Seeing as I grew up in Los Angeles in the 70's I have to give a shout out to Seymour, the Fright Night host. He was the greatest.
Legend!
"Yeah... mmm... yay... mmm... ohhh... yeah... ahh- haaa... uh ...ummm" ~ James Rolfe
Yes. YES! He needs to work on that. Immediately!
16:24
Super fun. I love the subject matter and Mr. Lobo is an all time great horror host because he's truly knowledgable and really funny.
Thanks Paul! You are too kind!
Thumbs up for "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" - watched that ALL THE TIME when I was a kid.
You really nailed the video rental store scene. Display movies, movie posters, snacks.....THE CLERK HAVING HICKIES ON HIS NECK! Nailed it.
You should check out “the Halloween that almost wasn’t” also called “Dracula saves Halloween”
Thanks for that... I totally forgot about that one!
What if that's where tony is.
no. they are too scary for James.😎
That's a classic in my family for some reason. Been watching it every year for the past 25
I loved growing up and watching the TGIF TV show lineup and watching the Halloween specials, shows like Boy Meets World and Family Matters and such.
Take a shot everytime James says "mmhmm"
We love Mr. LOBO!!! Stoked to see James and Mr. Lobo.
We love Sinister Creature Con--one of the best Horror Conventions ever! I think James would be a great guest at your show--he'd love what you do!
When you(mm-hmm) try to(mm-hmm) try to explain(yeah) your(mm-hmm) opinion, (yeah) James will(mm-hmm) let you know(yeah) he's listening.
A year later and I still love this video. I would like to see another collaboration with Mr. Lobo for 2020!
"Uh-umm"- James Rolfe
Yeah!
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha"- Tony
@@polsdofer 16:24
Tony often boils my yellow milk with his relentless giggling during most reviews but I can't deny his comedic timing on his performances is hilarious. Never fails to bring a smile. Good work guys :)
Who remembers 'When Halloween was Forever' - The Real Ghostbusters at it's finest!
Loved and terrified me that episode
@@samse7en11 Yeah, me too - that and the 'Boogieman Cometh' episode! I think there was a follow up episode to the Halloween one that came later as well, but don't remember it being quite as memorable. Just remember the scary pumpkin head dude.
I do remember.
I really like how the ending gives a really creepy vibe with the old school headbanging effect, even if it's like 5 seconds of the entire video.
I used to love watching Garfield Halloween special.
I wish they'd still have it on after Peanuts like they used to.
I AM IN BEWILDERMENT I predicted he’d say hilloween for his favorite Halloween special!!!!
i can't help but to hear all the "yeah" and "mm-hmm" every time the landlord is talking about something. LOL yeah.......mm-hmm....yeah........uh-huh......mmmmm...
Than watch something else
I really applaud James for doing all this in this kind of fashion. I think he said it didn’t take the “time” it normally did, but this has got to be difficult. There’s a reason hit shows have many many writers, and in depth scripts, then get the actors who reflect it. Going off the top like this for hours has got to be insanely difficult. It’s different, but it’s just another reason why James and Cinnemassacre have done so well.
I love the South Park Halloween episodes: "Pinkeye," "A Nightmare on Facetime," "Spookyfish," and "Hell on Earth 2006" are standouts for me. Got to love Spooky vision, too!
And I'm glad you mentioned the Roseanne Halloween episodes. They are an integral part of my Halloween festivities every year. I remember when they were new on tv. They dis it right, and I'm grateful for the DVD of their Halloween eps.
Disney’s Ichobod scared the crap outta me when I was a kid!
I am legitimately shocked that no one mentioned The Perils of Punky, the 2-part Punky Brewster Halloween Special that featured a dog getting skinned and a child's rotting head on a skeleton body. It was traumatizing. I loved it.
Lol, in the UK we had Ghostwatch. What a special man. It has a horrible rep though.
jamie birch I watched it back in ‘93, lights out, I’m basically a child and I’m watching this show and it scared the hell out of me.
Anyone in UK remember some guy dressed as SATIN.
Big red guy with horns.
Was kool
i laughed out loud when they highlighted mr. lobo knocking the movie over
Justin is the guy in the group that didn't help with the project
@Peter Parker If anything the third wheel should've been Kieran for the younger perspective.
Justin was my favorite part
This was very entertaining and enjoyable if you enjoy stuff like this, which I go. Worth a couple of rewatches. And look there is Mr. Lobo. Always glad to see him pop up in things like this. A knowledgeable and amusing guy.
Thanks LL!
"Mad Monster Party?" was theatrical. (Still required Halloween viewing, though!)
Rankin Bass did mostly TV work and it was programmed heavily as a TV special but you are right, it was made to run theatrically.
Love these Friday rental video store episodes. Just flooded with nostalgia and memories.

Little bear?
Yes!!! Loved that Justin mentioned my favorite Halloween TV special! The Halloween Tree is spectacular!
When your stoned the Mac n me poster looks real.....interesting. And for some reason I keep thinking of shaquille oneal.
Fo shizzle!
High quality comment. "Something something weed" or "I'm stoned something something" and the up-votes come rolling in!
Could listen to James and Mr. Lobo talk all day.
We could have talked all day!
Tony deserves to have whatever kinda bullish happen to him that happens to him...💯✔️
The scariest part was the idea of hanging out with the landlord in a nostalgia trip on Halloween episodes.
There’s a second Cinemassacre Video Store?! Man, the lore is expanding, also a there’s a landlord
Leonardo Pedroza Its just the one in his basement where they started before they moved to this store. Then Mike has Fucholand where he does his video game reviews on wednesdays.
Whoa! I jumped when Lobo appeared!
My fav Halloween show memories:
Both Ghostbusters Halloween episodes
Garfield Halloween Adventure(That old guy from the house scared the shit out of me) lol
Sleepy Hollow.. The books are my fav.. Always loved the mystery ending on where did Ichabod Crane go!? and they made like 3 different cartoons shows
Wow this Lobo guy is pretty great. I like his talking points.
Thank you! It was fun to just talk...
More Mr. Lobo, please. Also, that last scene - magnificent stuff, I see what you did there!
I hope Mr.Lobo aka The Landlord makes more appearances when talking Horror and Halloween related topics!
Thank you!
Thank you Mr. Lanlord for giving me a detailed history on Halloween TV specials.
Count Cool Rider was my horror movie host for me growing up as a kid
Mr. Lobo is awesome. He has a very likable way of carrying himself
"And I'm sorry to bring up frankenShits." Lol
It was hilarious for him to keep apologizing for bringing that up, like he's never seen an AVGN episode.
@@coupdeforce Apologizing for it is much funnier than just saying Frankenshits....
