By the end of the fight, the kernels of truth were strong enough that I couldn't bring myself to cause any more suffering, and I unironically decided to spare him. Wasn't until I learned about when you miss every attack that I was able to progress.

Sans fights you in Ruthless at the end of the Starlight Isles, as is revealed midway through the fight. Crossbones, however, is off helping with the evacuation, as he is not Sans.

I didnt know Crossbones had an eye sprite, when i did the fight i only remember him doing the eye thing at the end when his bandana is already off.
His eye flashing at the end is parallel to how Undertale's Sans eye only flashes twice: during his Strongest Attack and his last attack.
