NGL, this guy was the highlight of Deltatraveler for me. GGunderfell Sans is pretty much the case scenario Flowey told us after sparing Toriel in OG Undertale. "What if you come across a relentless killer?" I made the decision to show Sans mercy by putting him to sleep, but after showing mercy to this objectively irredeemable creature I wondered if I even made the right decision. For the first time in an Undertale pacifist route I felt like I overstepped my boundaries and enforced a perspective none of the characters shared. I technically did the right thing, and for what? Sooner or later that same irredeemable creature would wake up and continue his reign of terror. I've never seen this kind of moral dilemma explored in Undertale, or even Deltarune! As much as this project has started out as a meme, It's no joke.
Undertale DID tackle that kind of moral dilemma, though. At the end of a Neutral run (which includes a first-time Pacifist run since you can't get True Pacifist without doing the Neutral stuff first), Flowey makes it clear he'll continue his terror if spared. It's not quite as bad there since that's the end of the run (so inevitably whatever decision you make will immediately be undone), but still, Undertale did at least try to pose a "will you spare someone that is 100% evil?" question.

We learn he doesn't actually do anything to anyone after you leave too, since everyone you spared is alive and well(?) according to the phone call. We don't know what else GGFell sans will do when he wakes up

One feels like he has to kill a human due to fearing what would happen if he doesn’t, the other thrives on the dust of the innocent, and has slaughtered an orphan unprovoked because it felt good.

It's a contextual theme Toby uses throughout his work for parts that carry certain vibes. Well, there is Smash Ultimate's use of it that's pretty obviously associated with Sans specifically but that's an outlier.
Kind of cool that when sans throws all of his motives away. His theme becomes way more different. Sounds more "evil" or "villainous" than "judgemental".

For a fangame that was made just to be part of a meme, this song does NOT have to go as hard as it does. It's a banger and definitely made the many deaths worth it just to listen to it. And the best part? It's not just Megalovania again but edgy. As much as I like Megalovania and the fresh takes on it for AU versions of Sans, it's also very refreshing to hear an entirely new song done up for a Sans fight.
“GIVE ME YOUR SOUL!” “I WON’T BE DENIED AGAIN” What I like about this Sans is he seems to have a lot opposites of the Sans we know especially his morality. Sans is the judge and judges your sins and how much capacity you have for violence, he is chill, down to earth, and really cares about his bro. This Sans doesn’t care about any of that due to the “Kill or be killed” ideologies in the Underfell au I guess Sans seems to be really influenced by it because this version of Sans is actually kinda messed up and unhinged, he’s malicious, cold, and insane. It seems like he shows no remorse when taking a life in the Underfell series he attacks Frisk and Flowey multiple times throughout Snowdin, he almost killed his brother with a flurry of bones, and now in the new area for Deltatraveler he killed a damn orphan for what, it’d be ironic if he still has the judge role when he himself has become the sinner and executioner, he's a predator that likes to torment and ambush his prey. So yeah this Sans is messed up and seems to be quite the opposite of Sans even having more than 1 hp, but what I like is that he still keeps a lot of aspects from Canon Undertale Sans which is nice, he might be one of the only “crazy sanses” that I find alright. Even worse is that poor Papyrus is stuck with him, and Papyrus’s murderous behavior is all stemming from Sans. Like I know he was dangerous in gg! Underfell but now he is just nuts lol. Edit: Genocide spoilers his death is really brutal, but he kinda had it coming pretty much.
Wait since he said “I WONT BE DENIED AGAIN” that means the frisk in this universe has already been there so I think this may also be a horrorfell AU seeing as most likely frisk did a nurtral route so sans death in the end might reference horrorfell and after Kris and the gang leave it all goes downhill into horrorfell

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this project? I am still blown away how far this project has come along when it was originally based on a Deltarune meme, and has been fleshed out into three parts with multiple routes and secrets sprinkled in.

@Anervaria Personal opinion here, I think those people were not a fan of that update because he was redeemed to easily. Yes, the change to the child game ending thing is appreciate, but he was immediately redeemed for something that should have just started after talking to him and him making that realization of what he's done. I'm not saying your opinion is invalid, it's that I want to give you a different view on this topic coming from someone who has seen people who were not happy with sans' portrayal for this same reason list here. Also, this is coming from a person who was not a fan of Sans' original portrayal before the update.
The one thing I found interesting is that every boss so far had to have their HP depleted before they could be spared. Flowey, Porky's Mech, now Sans. But this time, the only to spare Sans was to put him to sleep. So, the question is... How long until we meet a relentless killer that can't be spared? HOLY MOLY THIS REPLY COUNT!

I had a ton of cash, so I stacked up on the strongest items along with stuff like revive mints and party healing pieces. Was it close? Yeah, since Megalovania is typically used as a "judgemental" song used to judge your sins. But GG!Fell isn't one to judge, so he's given the alternative Sans theme.

It's refereshing to have a rendition of Underfell that isn't 'omg so edgy' but actually goes with the idea of 'what if Undertale but they're way more inclined to just kill you and not bother asking questions'. It has you genuinely questioning if you choosing Mercy is even the right thing to do here; unlike the King from Deltarune who at least cared about his son and subjects, there's literally no redeeming qualities to Sans in this world. It almost makes you inclined to follow up on Susie's offer of cleaving his skull in, and I'm betting Kris would have preferred that too, even with Fell Papyrus's explanation on the pacifist route taken into account.
It would be hilarious if at the end of the section 3 demo before cutting to the credits the gang ends up in the lost core and Gaster is like "I must say your here sooner then expected" then just kills you like in hard mode and then going t the credits.

The worst part being that when I saw we got more content to Section 3 I got hyped as hell. Just for it be character assassination. Only good thing we got was Susie's reaction to sparing him in obliteration.

First, I kinda like how instead of being (generic Megalovania) it tries to be more original but have a vibe that still fits the opponent Second: I love the guitars at 1:22, they give a sense of dread and despair to the song, giving the atmosphere a stress full but sad vibe . Tried to get the word out about Cubic to as many people as i could since im currently a broke college kid so i hope all goes well for them But this track is awesome as hell! I like that it isnt just megalovania but edgy since Megalovania was meant to be a piece of music to make you reflect on your horrible choices up to that point. (Case in point: Paula) If this is the kind of music quality we'll see in future sections im extremely excited for em!

I wonder how the inevitable Sans/Papyrus fight is going to go in Deltatraveler, Blue soul mechanics are a must, but will they be like the chapter 2 bosses and have a pool of attacks that they use at random, or will there be a set pattern involved like base Flowey? I honestly feel like it could go either way. Hey, here from post Chapter 3 times. And I've got to say, the fight definitely exceeded my expectations
The one thing I reckon will happen is that Papyrus is gonna be the fakeout final boss (like Mondo Mole), whereas Sans will be the real final boss (like Porky).

Sparing Sans here with SleepMist isn't so much a moral decision, but more something I did out of spite. We made it through the dark worlds without violent conclusions. We made it past exploding trees and that mole without a violent conclusion. We even made it past Flowey and Pokey without bloodying our hands. But letting Edgy Trashbag be the one to ruin it, no matter how much he has it coming? Hell no.
Fan fact: if in obliteration route you use red buster on any encounter, you will instantly die. If you use red buster on sans, everyone except kris will we downed and kris will be left with 1 hp. But if you use red buster on sleeping sans, it will be insta-kill all your party including Kris

Shut up the point of that new ending was to try and give Underfell Sans a redemption arc and sure you could say that he doesn’t deserve it because he’s still killed dozens of people but what I like is he does try to make himself a better person even though he knows he can’t even be forgiven and okay fine if you don’t like that ending then just have the Pacifist Ending be the one where you put Sans to sleep stop complaining Vylet Bunny is trying her best

Hes the type of person who dosent even try to change for the better unless hes FORCED to. one thing i like about this sans theme is that it's NOT megalovania. instead of just being a copy of genocide frisks theme, it's something original, using proper sans motifs instead of one of the 50,000 recycled motifs used over and over again.

Dec 24 I decided to play DeltaTraveler for the first time without any spoilers, my goal was to beat it in the same day without any pauses, I did it in 2 hours and 30 minutes and boy, I don't regret it. Fighting this Sans was a lot hard, but when I actually beated him, it was so satisfying. This might be the actual best Deltarune fangame ever. Can't wait for section 4.

For a fangame that was made just to be part of a meme, this song does NOT have to go as hard as it does.
It's a banger and definitely made the many deaths worth it just to listen to it.
And the best part? It's not just Megalovania again but edgy. As much as I like Megalovania and the fresh takes on it for AU versions of Sans, it's also very refreshing to hear an entirely new song done up for a Sans fight.

What I like about this Sans is he seems to have a lot opposites of the Sans we know especially his morality. Sans is the judge and judges your sins and how much capacity you have for violence, he is chill, down to earth, and really cares about his bro. This Sans doesn’t care about any of that due to the “Kill or be killed” ideologies in the Underfell au I guess Sans seems to be really influenced by it because this version of Sans is actually kinda messed up and unhinged, he’s malicious, cold, and insane. It seems like he shows no remorse when taking a life in the Underfell series he attacks Frisk and Flowey multiple times throughout Snowdin, he almost killed his brother with a flurry of bones, and now in the new area for Deltatraveler he killed a damn orphan for what, it’d be ironic if he still has the judge role when he himself has become the sinner and executioner, he's a predator that likes to torment and ambush his prey. So yeah this Sans is messed up and seems to be quite the opposite of Sans even having more than 1 hp, but what I like is that he still keeps a lot of aspects from Canon Undertale Sans which is nice, he might be one of the only “crazy sanses” that I find alright. Even worse is that poor Papyrus is stuck with him, and Papyrus’s murderous behavior is all stemming from Sans. Like I know he was dangerous in gg! Underfell but now he is just nuts lol.
Edit: Genocide spoilers his death is really brutal, but he kinda had it coming pretty much.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this project? I am still blown away how far this project has come along when it was originally based on a Deltarune meme, and has been fleshed out into three parts with multiple routes and secrets sprinkled in.

@Anervaria Personal opinion here, I think those people were not a fan of that update because he was redeemed to easily. Yes, the change to the child game ending thing is appreciate, but he was immediately redeemed for something that should have just started after talking to him and him making that realization of what he's done. I'm not saying your opinion is invalid, it's that I want to give you a different view on this topic coming from someone who has seen people who were not happy with sans' portrayal for this same reason list here.

It's refereshing to have a rendition of Underfell that isn't 'omg so edgy' but actually goes with the idea of 'what if Undertale but they're way more inclined to just kill you and not bother asking questions'. It has you genuinely questioning if you choosing Mercy is even the right thing to do here; unlike the King from Deltarune who at least cared about his son and subjects, there's literally no redeeming qualities to Sans in this world. It almost makes you inclined to follow up on Susie's offer of cleaving his skull in, and I'm betting Kris would have preferred that too, even with Fell Papyrus's explanation on the pacifist route taken into account.

First, I kinda like how instead of being (generic Megalovania) it tries to be more original but have a vibe that still fits the opponent

This was the best part of section 3 ngl it’s just so good, the fight is super fun, the song is great and it fits well into the story, meeting someone that you CANT reason with, no matter what, it’s kinda like the line Flowey had of meeting someone who won’t hesitate to kill you which never got followed through on in undertale

Shut up the point of that new ending was to try and give Underfell Sans a redemption arc and sure you could say that he doesn’t deserve it because he’s still killed dozens of people but what I like is he does try to make himself a better person even though he knows he can’t even be forgiven and okay fine if you don’t like that ending then just have the Pacifist Ending be the one where you put Sans to sleep stop complaining Vylet Bunny is trying her best
But it contradicts his entire premise as a cowardly sociopathic murder. Its a lazy attempt at a redemption arc. It even softens the blow before the fight. Which ISINT optional. Hes the type of person who dosent even try to change for the better unless hes FORCED to. And the talk pacifist ending practically paints him as a mary sue despite his actions being basically unforgivable. This ending couldive been handled way better but the ending is just completley out of character.

I like how different this song sounds. Its gives a sense of tension and slight uneasiness, at least if you're the one facing our edgy skeleton here. Its upbeat, and keeps you on your feet. Surely will be another song I'll enjoy!

one thing i like about this sans theme is that it's NOT megalovania.
instead of just being a copy of genocide frisks theme, it's something original, using proper sans motifs instead of one of the 50,000 recycled motifs used over and over again.

Dec 24 I decided to play DeltaTraveler for the first time without any spoilers, my goal was to beat it in the same day without any pauses, I did it in 2 hours and 30 minutes and boy, I don't regret it.
Fighting this Sans was a lot hard, but when I actually beated him, it was so satisfying. This might be the actual best Deltarune fangame ever. Can't wait for section 4.
I've beaten deltatraveler in 5 hours. I read every dialogue with specific accent that suits their character
