ABOUT THE GAME:
Resident Evil 4 is a 2023 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It is a remake of the 2005 game Resident Evil 4. Players control the US agent Leon S. Kennedy, who must save Ashley Graham, the daughter of the United States president, from the mysterious Los Illuminados cult. It's amazing how you can take on hordes of enemies, parry flying objects in the heat of battle and pop headshots.
While simultaneously hitting every possible bear trap you can find lol. I'm not sure Leon's ankles can take much more.

The lake is kind of this semi open world area. You can just go for the thing you need for the church, but... if you explore all of it, you'll find some good stuff to sell. Yer crushin' it.

No, you don't need to really be cautious with the small keys. It's always just going to be a minor valuable. Don't worry about it if you don't get em all.

keep the jewels. you can combine them with necklaces, cups, crowns and such and get way more money than selling them separately.

Oh, that pearl pendant that was on the windmill, you gotta shoot it when it's on the right hand side of the windmill so it doesn't fall in the well. There's another one, if you pause this video at 8:15 (Right around when you were panicking over the chainsaw sound lol) There's a well ahead with a lantern over it and a wooden plank propped up by a log. Shoot the log first so the plank comes down before hitting the lantern and another necklace drops. If either of them hit the well water, it reduces their value from 5k to 1k and there's nothing you can do to clean it off once that happens.

My favourite load out was the Red9 pistol, Riot Gun shotgun and the bolt action rifle with scope, the latter of which I sold and bought the Stingray semi automatic rifle instead later on in the game. It’s not as powerful as the bolt action rifle before upgrading but you can fire more shots before having to reload. When you get full control of the boat and can speed around in it the Red9 can be found on a wrecked boat in the middle of the lake. 🙂

The bolt thrower isn't actually bad. Probably not the easiest weapon for your first playthrough, but, aside from the obvious advantage of not wasting ammo, it's also silent. You won't alert other enemies quite so easily with that one and that alone makes it worth it to me. Also, at like 58:30 in this video, when you run into all the crows, you can shoot crow after crow with the bolt thrower and not alert the others. However, at that particular junction, you can also just throw a flash grenade into the group. Flash grenades will kill the crows and stun the dogs.
It also might just be in my head, but it seems like 1-2 shots in the knee frequently makes them spin around and hit their knees facing away from you, which gives you the opportunity to run over and suplex them. Probably my favorite way to melee in the early game. It saves durability on the knife and saves you bullets, and early on almost always insta-kills by breaking their necks. If you do a second run through, the proximity mines are really handy for ending tough fights before they even start. Launch 6 mines right where you know an enemy is going to spawn before running up the point where they spawn. The fight starts, they explode, throw a couple more shots, done.
I was really surprised you didn't go for the sniper rifle. I've never seen anyone go for the bolt thrower over the sniper rifle. That was a ballsy choice. Although by the time you're trying to get S+ Ranks, you don't really have time for stealth or for sniping. You'll just skip both of those weapons, get some weapon upgrades, and run.

Even though stepping into all of those bear traps, and your legs being most likely reduced into bloody stumps, you still manage to kick ass! I prefer the original RE4 over this, but watching you play got me interested in buying the game.

@whitneysvision The original Resident Evil 4 has a playstation 4 version, the original system it released on was the gamecube, then ps2, then Resident Evil 4 HD, then Resident Evil 4 on ps4, it would be cool if you maybe played the original in the future. The resident evil 4 original is also in ps store.

Whoever said the bolt thrower is crap was dead wrong. While it does have terrible stats, it's invaluable for conserving ammo. Using the bolt thrower instead of the handgun to headshot and melee individual enemies will really help save up ammo to use in larger encounters.

@@whitneysvision yeah like all the advice we give you take it with a grain of salt because they are just opinions after all.
People prefer different weapons in this game, there's not really any weapon that's not worth trying out.
My favorite weapons are the shotgun, smg and a pistol (red9). If you check every corner around the lake next episode I can confirm that you Will Find good loot and maybe a new weapon:)

I'm sorry about the multiple comments. Last one and I'll try to shut up. lol I keep thinking of different things as the video goes on, so I make no promises.
The looting in this game is adaptive. Your drop rate for certain items increases based on how much you have at the time. If you use up all your healing items, within the next few loots you are highly likely to get a green herb. If you run completely out of a type of ammo, the same thing happens. Handgun ammo in particular already has a high drop rate, so if you run completely out, you're almost guaranteed to get more in the next 2 or 3 loots.
