    Don't worry even if you are a small reviewer, people of integrity know how to recognize each other, your advice has not fallen on deaf ears, I am the happy owner of ThHifi face red, and fiio jd7 and the kbear chord cable, and all your advice was accurate and judicious. Thank you Akros and continue your wonderful work!

    Tony, you are a gem in this hobby. Your passion, knowledge, experience, ability to communicate your thoughts and your integrity are clearly and transparently expressed on your channel and in other places on the internet. You being music focused in your reviews and impressions makes a huge difference with me personally, and I'm sure with others too. Wouldn't have taken a chance on the Serial or the PhoenixCall or the Mega5p had it not been for your channel, and I love each of them to the point where I won't sell them. So yeah, as others have said, don't stress about being smaller than other review channels, the people who know, know.

    Thanks for another great review, Tony. These seem like a good choice, although I'm pretty happy with my KZ x HBB PR2 now that I've put a better cable on them.
    FWIW, putting a product that's supposed to help support marine life in a plastic box is just so darn ironic. I mean, they couldn't use eco-friendly packaging for this? Not a good look Hidizs 🤦

    I would have purchased a set of these had Hidisz not been trying to manipulate people with bots on social media.
    They do look like a nice IEM aesthetically and the price was quite good at the intro Kickstarter price. It’s at $140 now and… it’s still pretty good, but there are a lot of options there.

  • @laykehicks8413

    I stopped using all my other IEMs (zero red, ms1 galaxy, smile jamaica) and headphones (grado ms1, 80x) after having these for three weeks. It's best with EQ but the raw sound quality is better, it strikes a balance between being detailed and high-res without being harsh. Sounds big and 3D. Bass is very separated and deep, more than my dynamic IEMs but my DD's have more bass impact. For songs with less bass the rolling deep bass on the MP145 is preferred. The bass seems to aid in soundstage because it sounds so different from the mids and highs, it sounds like a 2.1 system to me. Note weight is excellent. I'd like to hear someone complain about their sound because I have none, however, they're better with a scooped mids EQ IMO. Great review!

    Nicehck F1 is very underrated to the point that it is unnoticed. However I know some people bought the F1 during last weeks deal for less than 90$ and they very very much love it. They say that they don't get fatigued at the treble and the pinna gain is just right(7-9db). The bass is not hollow as the S12/Pro. Truly a shame. By the way I also have the F1.

    • @AJ_Delos-Reyes
      @AJ_Delos-Reyes Рік тому +1

      I agree brother, I modded my Nicehck F1 by removing the metal filter. Improved the areas from 3 to 4k. Seemingly fixed the female vocals. I wonder why there is not enough hype on this. Maybe hidizs made the right marketing on their product, even though the F1 and MP145 almost have the similar tuning, the mp145 gets the limelight.

      I got a set of S12 Pro's for some ridiculous deal, I think it was $130CAD, and did the Michael Bruce's Shortbus "Glamdring" mod and it's phenomenal. I did a lot of tip and cable rolling to get a combination I liked, and now that I have it where I want it it's a permanent keeper.

    Hi. I need an IEM that will be decent for casual listening (phone) as well as for monitoring in my studio where I have both transistor and tube amps. These planars scare me a bit with regard to power needs as I only have a cheap USB-C to mini plug DAC converter cable that I use with my phone. I suppose my question would be, which of these (F1, P1, MP145) would require the least power to drive sufficiently with regard to my casual listening needs? Thank you & great display of the options here!

  • @hecntina

    The plastic box on mine likewise had a chip in a corner... a poor packaging decision. I'm enjoying them w/ the default gold nozzle and some AZLA Sedna eartips (wide bore). So far their sound reproduction (visceral impact, natural tone/timbre, airy staging, detail retrieval, etc.) seem like an improvement over my Timeless and PR1 Pro (possible placebo effect, remains to be seen long-term), but not their form factor. Given their size & weight, the short-session comfort is acceptable so far, but the jury's still out on their long-session comfort.
