One of Kylie Minogue’s signature songs, “Better The Devil You Know” was the lead-off single from her third LP “Rhythm Of Love”.
The track is a staple of Kylie’s live sets and was a UK number two hit in May 1990. The track also featured on the soundtrack to the Richard Grieco film “If Looks Could Kill”.

I cannot believe I never heard any of these songs growing up in the States. If Kylie had been on the radio in 1990 I would have been a lifelong fan. These tracks are incredible.

You can blame geffen records for this. After minor success with the first album and singles in USA her 2nd album flopped , so she lost her record deal in USA. Very ,very short sighted. I would’ve loved to have seen what USA would have thought of her rhythm of love album and singles
@@scottward7850Yeah, when I heard "What Do I Have to Do" a couple of months ago, I was shocked (yeah also a great song) that I had never heard of that song before cuz it was so damn good. I can't imagine that wouldn't have been a hit back in the day in the States. That was a period when there was a lot of dance music on pop radio.

This song was so important for Kylie, it showed people and critics that she was so much more than a soap actress dabbling in music, it really cemented her as a pop star and was the beginning of people viewing her seriously as a recording artist. Love you, goddess of pop ♡

That describes it so perfectly! I was just thinking that there was something so sinister about the instrumentals, melody, back vocals, and lyrics; yet Kylie's voice itself sounds nice and devoid of malevolence. This song gets better with every listen.

This was it, the moment I fell in love with Kyles (and I'm a straight girl) and she's had me by the throat ever since.

I just love the classic Hit Factory sound. Mike and Matt are fantastic musicians with incredible composition and arrangement skills, and Pete mixed and produced them to perfection.
