AFRO people have the BEST hair, SHOUT OUT to ALL my AFRO people throughout the four corners of the earth. My AFRO AMERICANS, my AFRO LATINOS and so forth.
I'm so happy I grew up during the 90s. I remember these hair shows so vividly.
Mannn cat suits, sun dresses and freeze curls and frenchrolls. I used to rock that! Nice throwback

Thank you for this. I wish black culture was celebrated, honored and remembered more and we could honor these stylists. Wherever they are I hope they are well and healthy.
Some of these hair styles caused sleep disorders because you couldn't lay on them. Had to sleep in a chair and wake up with a crook in your neck.
🤣🤣💜 2.4.2020
How can anyone hate on this, I love that when people had an idea, they executed it. Now people doing the same, look the same, act the same. Where’s the fun in that?
Woooow! My mom was a hairstylist. I remember these days. Hair shows were a lot of work
I wore so many of these styles😂 wow...Am I telling my age!
I Wish They Had More Hair Shows Like This On Here.. I Wanna Watch More Videos Like This
Me too
This is what am talking about, queens being queens and far removed from the boxed up straight European hair style that we've come to embrace over ours.
No crazy eyebrows with concealer around them, no heavy makeup, no 40 inch hair from a dead woman, no crazy lashes, I could go on... beautiful brown women. Black hair!
YES !
Women out here looking like drag queens now days with these make up trends. SMH
Shardean From The Wire exactly! And back then we wasn’t trying to replicate an Indian scalp
robin mcgregor well they have curves but not a ballon filled ass of silicon
Jessica Richards All of that you named have been out since the 70’s. Except extra long hair extensions! Nothing that is being done now is new. Only difference is, things are more being applied differently
I use to enjoy going to hair shows....(sigh) the 90's.
Straight 🆙 Marcel irons before ah flatiron, the good ole days. The hair game has changed💈💇✂️💇♂️
Honey they had flat irons in marcels as well we called them bumpers
I've seen a many of hair shows back in the day this brings back nostalgia
Afro power am Rocking mine in 2020🔥🔥
90s Black hairstyles was just everything ✊🏾❤
I now understand why I prefer my women...Plain and Natural...anything else seems to be sensory overload.
What happened to CJ that was selling his CDs after the show?
Sir, you uploaded some bomb vintage material on this very day I let my mother welcome the pressing comb back into my life this afternoon during quarantine season; me thinking I'm committing natural hair sin, forgetting that women in MY family been healthily heat-styling heads for decades upon decades. The kink in my curl was never the only representation of who I am, what and where I come from. My generation must know this for themselves, beyond whatever of "blackness" becomes the hype. We don't have to ascribe to every exploited and exaggerated premise for Black identity, coming out the kulture. Ours is SOUL deep, and our hands flow the same blood of Afro American women who did it a l l , and very well. A press and curl is big facts on the TRUTH that is HerStory. I THANK GOD FOR MY HAIRITAGE. This was a dope post, thank you!
Girl you betta go on head with it, we stay with the flavor!! Regardless of how we rock it!
Thank you so much for uploading this 🖤✨!
You're so welcome!
Wonder where the models are today. Back in the day they was off the chain now they are grandma or Nana 😂 I remember laughing at those old pictures of my parents and grandparents they thought they were shaaaarp! Styling and profiling 😂 Couldn't tell them nothing those little girls are probably IN their 30s now
I noticed certain styles got that close up.. That sister with the intricate braids. Didn't get her time to shine. In my opinion The more things change.the more they stay the same. Sbt. Thank you for sharing.
so much inspiration 💯❤💁🏿♀️💁🏿♀️💁🏿♀️💁🏿♀️
