- Last issue I made a floor/foundation for my cabin in the woods. I impregnated the frame with insect and moisture protection. Also painted the floor. For someone who is building a cabin like this for the first time, I think it turned out pretty good. Today I assembled the front and back walls and installed the joists on the roof. If I can build my cabin off the grid...everyone can. It just takes a little patience.

Before it is too late, cynder block strength is when they are right side up, with holes are vertical, not horizontal. Great work!

My one suggestion would be get a bigger framing hammer. Let it do some of the work for you
