  • in this video I build a small off grid cabin in the woods. I try to keep it a cheep and simple project yet make it as nice as possible . I finish the cabin off with some nice wood working, beautiful tongue and groove pine cut from logs I had . install the perfect little wood stove , and even use some live edge for trim .top it all off with a breakfast cooked on the wood stove makes this a very relaxing a satisfying video

Great job my friend! Tho I'm a musician by trade, I always loved working with wood. In my early 50's I built a studio and a shop mostly by myself and then when I retired to the Mts of NC I built a smaller version by my house at age 74. Tho smaller, it still took a year because I had slowed down a bit lol! But I love building and the reflection time it affords. I think a lot of us who are creative are loners to some extent. such a great channel glad i found it!! can't wait to see what you have in store! also great idea putting an extra sill plate underneath the floor joust to help hold them up. definitely a better, sturdier option than joist hangers. so many neat ideas i can put to use this summer! thank you for this.

I do wood work ect and helped build cabin walls when I was 11, so I love wood work I have made enterence bishop benches with shoe shelf attached and bookcases and spice racks and coffee tables and umbrella ☔ stands which the local banks commissioned me to make for them which I gave discounts because that's what I do. And make wheeled trolleys. But I wish someone would make a cabin for me lol in my dreams no doubt lol.
