Conclusion Wheel:
PRO - Really good 11Nm Direct Drive Wheel, great FFB, great Wheel, no overheating, silent, solid, trueforce, LONG cable to connect to pc, as first DD wheel from Logitech I think this is pretty solid for anyone who likes the brand and hey who did not start on Logitech wheels (Logitech Driving Force PRO 2004 here) and want to stay with it, works with consoles.
CON - No more options for wheels (right now), price is higher to what people are used to considering the competition, base is bigger than usual, for whatever reason micro usb cabel instead of new versions of USBC.
Conclusion Pedals:
PRO - Easy connect to base, nice design but plastic base around, metal pedals and such, good entry load cell (WAY improved compare to previous Logitech pedals)
Let me know what you guys think. I dont do reviews I just do little impressions or tests, hope it helps :)
I started on a Fanatec wheel - there was no force feed-back, but it did have a rubber band to give it some resistance - and it cost £50. After it broke for the fourth time, when I could not fix it, I binned it and bought a Logitech.
microsoft sidewinder forcefeedback, it was goated in the sauce
price is basically the same as a simnilarly specced CSL DD. Ppl only comment on the price bc they sell the base and the wheel together.
If they did sell it for 500 Euros I would respect them, but just for what they did with the g29 range of things during the pandemic I cannot respect them (inflation adjustment --> rob people who wanna go on the sim) logitech is big enough to bring this type of product to an affordable price for the people! But they don't so everytime I see their stock going more down I smile a bit more :)
Just got this wheel a few days ago to replace my G920 , so far I'm really enjoying the extra feeling/detail the DD gives. I was waiting for the Fanatec CSL DD but I got fed up waiting for months due to no stock so got the Logitech instead.
Just got this wheel last week. Coming from the G29 and my first DD what more can I ask for...$1,300, who cares, there are more foolish things people spend their hard earn dollars on. Love it!
I doubt you see this, but I’ve had a G293 for about 8 months, I upgraded to the pro pedals already and am thinking about upgrading to the pro wheel as well. How do you feel about your purchase now that it has been some time; would you recommend the upgrade?
@@smithbrothers5857 I love the Pro...I did have the G29 for 6 years and feel for the price of the G29, how can you go wrong but eventually pulled the trigger and it was time I went to the direct drive wheel. Going from gear driven G29 wheel to a smooth, realistic direct drive wheel makes a big difference to me. With saying this, I dont think the Pro makes my times better but it makes the driving experience better. If you like the peddles you will love the wheel.
@@richnick1911I was going to buy Logitech pro but I think I will go with Fanatec. Mainly because Logitech only has 1 wheel, no handbrake, no shifter. Fanatec has around 10 wheels that I want and al the extras.
For the quick release I believe that is a 100% indication that Logitech is going to bring out other wheels IF this is successful for them. The kit looks great. Great job by Logitech.
With no doubt, same with thrustmaster t818.
there's any DD without quick release?
@@TleafarafaelT Not that I know of. Wheel changes is a core flexibility feature that most DD producers incorporate. It's not only great for performance and customizeability but also excellent for increasing a customer's lifetime value to the company.
Logitech has already confirmed a mclaren branded formula wheel I believe
At sim racing expo they said more are coming but were very tight lipped about what, but a McLaren F1 wheel makes sense with the partnership.
Logitech is a solid company and makes good stuff that is reliable. Look forward to seeing this kit grow with more wheel options and is now a solid choice for my first DD setup. Currently using TGT II and dig it.
I got this wheel recently. It's my first direct drive and first load cell pedals, but I don't have any immediate complaints. Had to adjust the brake and make it much stiffer, using the provided kit though, and set it to I think 50kg in the software (apparently it goes to 100).
11nm in firmware, 70% in ACC, I'm quite happy with what I got out of it.
I got the wheel too (playstation version) but for some reason I can't connect my wheel to the game (other games work) which version do you have of the wheel?
@@yentosssk1122 i have the PS5 version (in case I'm ever crazy and buy a console) on PC. I had to manually assign all the controls in ACC for some reason
@@ilzee_vk I feel so stupid… I didn’t bind all the controls in the game, I thought my wheel or game was broken thank u so much
How long did it take If you ordered it online? Mine seems to be stuck in processing.
Yes, the base is big but the wheel and pedals are impressive. I had a Fanatec DD pro (with the 2.5 formula wheel) but went to the Logitec because I could't play Snowrunner.
And to be honest, i have no regrets.
100%!
Got mine for my son as I have a complete Fanatec Setup, but omg! is this DD good. The size did concern me but the stability, it moves less than my Fanatec DD. Pedals are a big improvement and time will tell about their robustness. Fingers crossed they release new wheels for this great product. Forgot to add, after my initial impression I would easily get this over a Fanatec DD.
Any update since you had it for awhile? I have a csl elite for ps5, I'm afraid the cls dd won't feel like an upgrade.
Wheel looks promising. Been using a round one for a long time in my T300 and this one looks way better. I hope they will pump out a few rim options in the future
I just got one and have no regrets. the brake pedals felt amazing out of the box but had an amazing range of adjustment. took me a while to find the perfect stiff pedal setup . for me it was the 2 stiffer inserts red and brown with the softer white one first. the soft white insert still has short travel but gives a soft entry for a touch more movement before it loads up. brake sens at 87% with 100 kg force completed the recipe
Hi :) do u would still reccomend ?
@@pmarciano1717 absolutely
i had a G29 before which did the job ... the G PRO was for me the perfect upgrade [simple setup]
funny thing in ACC if you enable true force in GHUB , when watching a replay in cockpit view
the wheel vibrates the engine / its kinda cool!
i would say the peddles are ok but nothing to get excited about.
the packaging and build quality is top notch .
i found ordering directly from logitech an experience that could be greatly improved [lack of info/updates on order]
The other versions of the wheels might come from MVHstudios who has been doing wheels for Logitech years now. From Hamilton to LeClerc styles so I expect F1 and GT rims seeing they already did quick release systems for G923/29/920
The wheel is greater but what do you think among others in the same category like TG-T 2, T818 and 0.5 DD fanatec ?
This will be a big win for sim racers and Logitech if it can be bought on the high street or online store without sim racers needing to import and pay customs fees like Fanatec .
I'll be absolutely shocked if a replica F1 McLaren wheel isn't on the horizon for this.
yeah!
I want a GT3 style wheel!
May I ask, what do you feel about "Trueforce"?..
Does the wheel vibrate when ABS kicks in?
I like the peddles with modded inserts
The base stays flat no flipping not mounted on the floor .
Jardier, could you someday share your settings on the Fanatec DD1 wheel at Assetto Corsa Competizione? Setting the steering wheel and the game. Thank you.
Do you have a video covering your wheel settings?
Thank you for this Video. I don`t can say much about Wheels i only know my Logitech G920. That has much plastic too, but it is not important for me, i only toch the Wheel it self and not the casing and look on the track. The most important i think is the force feedback and some other guys who has tested it say as you that it is good. Even if i haven`t drive some i agree that a formula wheel would be cool. I think i would love to own the big brother, but if there would not happend a wonder not this year.😔 See you in the next stream
Great to hear it is such a nice wheel. Would you pick this over the Fanatec DD Pro 8nm with Elite V2 pedals?
@@JuanDanielGonzalezRomero I got the Logitech G Pro and no regrets.
Jardiers been in the gym right? Gee then arms bruh, great review mate 😍
I stay with Fanatec for now but looks nice 👍
Did you try TrueForce in ACC? I heard it's really good and not "gimmicky" like with the G923.
This wheel has amazing TrueForce in ACC. It really feels alive. One of the best features in my opinion.
I love your videos, maybe you can help me, I need a good setup for Barcelona for the McLaren 720 S in ACC
I just got mine. The game while on track doesn't detect steering inputs. In the options menu the game sees the steering inputs just fine.
Send it over when you’re done mate. Could really do with an upgrade 😂🤤❤️
Whats something better if you xbox only?
Will you be reviewing the t818?
I think Logitech said in the beginning of the release that they would add more wheels in the future. Let's see!
Jardier. Logitech sent this to you for a review. Is it a freebie? Do you get to keep it?
Jardier, I think you have used Fanatec CSP pedals for a while. I'm wondering what you change in its settings when you leave ACC and go to iRacing/RF2 for a race. Are you changing adjusting the Preload? Or are you simply just increasing the Brake Force?
I'm having a hard time getting my CSP v3s right for ACC and you're the only fast person I know that's used them for a long time.
Thank you!
Hey mate i dont change anything on pedals going from game to game trying to keep all same feeling for braking :)
@@Jardier Thank you. That's amazing that you don't even adjust the Brake Force between ACC and iRacing.
Thanks for the input
Any good settings for acc? Im dont like the settings from the logi website. Im playing on pc. Any help appreciated
Had my now for about three months and going from a 923 huge huge huge difference. Makes all the gear drives toyish
I would think they will probably bring out Formula wheels for this seeing as this current wheel is detachable. Otherwise why make it with a removable wheel?
To make people think they will release more wheels but I personally don’t think they will and if they do, it will be 1 shitty F1 wheel.
The form factor makes it a no go for many.
I want this so bad, but im scared of direct drive. But my trusty old g25 is getting old. But 1000 € for the wheel and base, no pedals. its waaaaaay to much for me to afford
Oh the 5NM or bridge DD is also coming from Logitech I suspect to cover the G market.
nothing announced or rumoured so doubt it
Rewind couple months ago when you said those things😁😁😁
To clear one thing up about the pedals reviewers do not always mention if you buy the wheel base steering wheel and pedals all together the pedals are reduced in price by near £90 from £350 to £263' so no maybe compare the pedals to ones that cost £263 ? back before Xmas i got the whole bundle with what was called a Logidays further £50 discount so paided £1212 ish.
Thats pretty solid thank you!
yeah, too bad with the micro usb... Thats a no-go for me. I havent found a micro usb that works as it should, always break..
The logitech G pro is superior to the fanatec CSL DD 8Nm and V3 in terms of built quality, torque and details. Yes that's correct, better built quality. Better (solid) QR, no shaft flexing, no base overheating (csl dd 8Nm gets hot to the touch you can fry an egg on top 😂) no cogging (Yes csl dd has cogging), no power/ffb loss in the middle of a race (that's right fanaboys) more powerful than 8Nm 💪 (extra 3Nm makes a big difference) pedals are very easy to adjust (no tools required). Fanatec SQ shifter is faulty in less than a a year. Sold my junk fanatec CSL DD and I'm stuck with a broken fanatec SQ shitter.😂
Impressive review I wasn't expecting it to be that good. How ever there is a down side the price. And that's what makes the DD pro a more attractive option for an entry level DD wheel.
People need to consider that this is a steal at £1349.99. they're providing loadcell pedals, 11nm wheel base, and a wheel which has gears and clutch pedals....to get this in fanatec your talking £2000+...
The pricing is so much above the g923 😐
Logitech should have a model with direct drive between the g pro and g923.
Like a g924DD not as strong as the g pro in the same housing as the g923 (and same pedals as the g923).
For this price point of basically 2k for the wheel and pedals I would want it made of less plastic. At that price I would still be looking at fanatec, with all there rim options, and configuration options.
As a console user just sad about the cost. Seems a bit high and might just have to wait until prices come down a little ✌️😎
I feel the same way. Also i would love to know for a fact that new wheels will come. Else I would go for some other wheel and base. At this moment I'm saving up for a whole new setup, and the question is.. Is this worth investing in, or is it better to go a bit more expensive?
This did kill the idea for me to buy the 8 nm fanatec, I would rather go with this.
Jardier what do you think about special challenge: You. Wheel without DD. Pedals without load cells. What times will you do in low end hardware (low end like T150 or G29)? Question of the ages - how many seconds are behind expensive stuff...
check my channel in 1-2 weeks! :D
@@Jardier Really? Awesome!
lets be honest. the main problem here is that you can't buy it with a gt style rim and if you could it would probably cost almost as much as a simagic alpha mini+gt4 wheel and this is absurd.
Me watching this with mouse steering in acc 🤣
I could help you out on shooting the intro of these review/first use videos, with camera settings and holding gimbal etc. You’ve got the right gear and a good start but that could be more captivating 😊
What about the trueforce function?
It works great.
works great but not much to talk about it I think :)
Anyone bought the Logitech and experienced a horrible ship time?
I placed an order over a week ago and the items have not shipped yet. They also don’t know when my items will ship. Their customer service personnel are very polite, but so far all I get is “your order is approved and being processed, everything is in stock but being processed “.
1099€ the wheel +370€ for the padels wtf 😒😒.
Wow Jardier absolutely dragging the pedals through the mud. they must be garbage 🤣
the question: is this better than moza r9?
(Long response. I hope it helps.) That's a good question. I can't answer your question. Please read on. This package is pretty new. I've seen some positive reviews of Moza products. This Logitech setup is very new. Not many reviews on it yet. I tried to find a comparison review of the two for you. I'm sure you have done the same. There are none that I could find. Only independent reviews of one or the other. To make a valid comparison review of the two worth the time. They both need to be close in purchase price and the person doing the review need to have both.
I'm guessing the point of your question. Which do you buy? My advice is to wait for more reviews to make an informed choice. To buy one or the other is more than a weeks paycheck for some.
Does Jardier have both to make a comparison. I don't know. He made no reference of this wheel to Moza's offering. So he probably does not have both.
Moza win on price but on pc, logitech win on game/console compatible, both great just depend on what you need and budget... maybe
The last place wins the wheel to? 🤣 i need to trash my Driving Force GT 🤣🤣
No way im spending a grand just for the wheel when Fanatec offers wheel and pedal package for less.
after most peoples issues, i really thought Logitech would make extra effort on modern pedals.. but no :(
yeah stroke that wheel @jardier stroke it :D 3:36
😂😂😂😂
Are you from the czech republic if Yes tak pozdravuji z Ostravy 🇨🇿
Diky! Jj jsem :)
It`s too late for logitech to release this for this price
Is this a new sponsor?
No
It's just that... it's Logitech... i mean, I wouldn't get it because of that 😅😅
I bought the steering wheel and pedals last October and am very happy with them. It's a completely different world from the G923 I used before.
However, about 2 weeks ago the pedals started to give me trouble. Sometimes it happens that my input, i.e. braking or accelerating, is not recognised. That's not the first time it's led to the end of my race.
In itself, it's not a big problem: you go to the dealer and complain about the pedals. Unfortunately, I bought them directly from Logitech and their support is poor, to put it mildly. After I wrote to the chatbot, it redirected me to a co-worker, who in turn redirected me to their "Gaming Technical Team" with the promise that someone would get back to me in 24-48 hours.
I have been waiting for 5 days now.
Hopefully something will happen soon.
Hi, what is the result? Have they helped you?
@@vkharchenko2272 No, we are still working on the problem.
They said it could be a problem with my rig. But i dont believe this, because it is a Playseat Trophy which will also be available in the future as a Logitech-Edition.
@@vkharchenko2272 Update for you: They sent me new pedals! I just kept crying :D
@@el_rapha Yeah, you need to be assertive and clear on what resolution you want with companies right of the bat, so they know you've done all the troubleshooting and stuff and that it's with them to replace the faulty item.
I've had nothing but great experience with Logitech customer service. They'd rank no.1 if I shopping for a DD wheel purely because of the support they provide, and that they have a large footprint in the UK so that helps.
😇tell me the pedals are bad without using "bad", "shit", "suck" etc.
Its awesome and actually better than fanashiet V3 pedals. Sold my V3 and csl dd 8Nm and kept the logi G pro.
Sux trying to get a good wheel for PS5, this or GT DD Fanatec........ Logitech has been doing wheels for longer than anyone!!! They should have ther foot on Fanatec's throat really.....
I like the review cuz you are not a review guy. It is real and its not bullshit then. I know you dont wanna say something negative but the pedals are crap for the price. CSL Elite V2 literally better and cheaper. The base can be decent but the price is too much for a Logitech. You can buy a fuckn DD1 or Simucube for that range.
The pedals have very similar feel to the Fanatec V3. The G pro is better in terms of adjustability. The V3 has sensivity brake issue.
@@abuelb it is not even full metal structure it's just another tlcm type of cheap wheel yet it has a fat price tag.
this shit is like 1800 euros in my country.. I'd love to buy one someday, looks great.
1500 eur is the price of this set, F me...
Logitech quality was never comparable to Thrustmaster's fake crap
G27 IS KING !! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Nah, I stick with my CSL DD worth than this 1300USD
Why is it so big and why do they always use micro usb instead of usb type c? I won’t buy a product with micro usb in 2023.
Too expensive, better alternatives with broader support available. Try again Logitech.
Logitech is a solid company and makes good stuff that lasts. I strongly disagree with your comment.
Too expensive compared to what? Moza R9 and RS wheel are $938. Fanatec CSL DD and a Clubsport wheel are $900. Try again Snell.
@@bobk4438 compared to those exact examples where you actually have the options to interchange your steering wheel and make upgrades. It's the lack of flexibility that makes it an expensive DD.
@@bobk4438 yeah and CSL DD has lots of issues reported and it only goes to what 5 or 6nm of torque? Compared to 11nm. And it's so much easier to customize with this Logitech wheel base, you don't need to plug it into a computer which makes it perfect for console players.
TBF it's £1100 in the UK and for that's price you could get a Fanatec Podium for and it has the vast ecosystem
Cannot justify the Aussie dollar price. And that oversized wheel base is very off putting..
