Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. I just got a CSL DD 8Nm and have been quite disappointed (with some software bugs, the loud high-pitch noise it makes [which apparently is normal but not all people have good enough hearing to hear it], and the clunky sound). I think I'll try this wheel and return the Fanatec if I like it!
Did you try the Logitech? What is your opinion?
@Yes! I have had it for a few weeks. It's 1000x better. It really is amazing. The only problem is the price (and a few software bugs in the drivers, but nothing too bad). Also I don't find the $400 pedals that I had to buy any better than the ones from the G29, so once they're back in stock of the adapter to use the old pedals with the pro wheel I'll get it. But yeah - no whine, FFB feels amazing (I turned the filter down to 0 for a more "realistic" bumpiness feeling), way more power than I ever need (I usually set it to 4-6Nm, it goes up to frickin' 13), and the button layout and feel is very good (the Fanatec wheel I had had horrible button layout and feel). Oh another small downside though is the shifters require a lot of force to pull, it fatigues my hand easily. I wish that was adjustable. But yeah overall I recommend it 100%.
@@Haligonian Thank you for your opinion. I got mine two days ago with the PRO pedals. I was in doubt between the Logitech, Moza r9, or CSL DD. I didn't like any of the steering wheels Fanatec has, so was Moza or Logitech. I got the Logitech mainly because people said FFB is good and because of Trueforce. I was using the Logitech G923 for 3 years and felt I could try DD. Now that I have the PRO, I feel that it is too much money, and I am seriously thinking of returning it. Of course, it is better, and I can feel better the road, but nothing surreal. I would like to try the Moza R5 now because I also set the PRO to 5NM. The Moza R5 would be more than 3 times cheaper.... unless the Logitech FFB + trueforce is really amazing.
@Yeah I've thought about returning it too... it's better than the G29, but not quite $1000 better. I wish there was a cheaper "Pro Lite" model.
Im using the pro pedals with the g923z i only play gt7 so i like the trueforce. I hear the dd pro has less road feel than the g923 so im gonna go with the pro wheel. Just waiting for price to go down.

Have you had any issue with any of the button sticking in the lower position or sticking as they’re being pushed?
@@jacksparrow5281 The button to the left of L3 sticks on my wheel. But I spilled some apple juice on it and I figured that was the reason.
@@talon1706 I complained to Logitech and was sent a new replacement wheel. Works as intended - happy thus far.
My problem is, when on console, Logitech shifter is a toy, no open wheel add on, and no handbrake from Logitech. Pc non issues because you can just use usb brake and shifter. Hopefully they expand on this more.
Those problems are what’s making me wait. I don’t want to spend £1250 and Logitech don’t release a good shifter, no handbrake and no new wheels. I want Logitech to have similar options like Fanatec. Many expensive great quality wheels. Regular and F1 and something tells me that Logitech won’t release anything. Especially if the wheel don’t sell well. Or they release 1 shoddy looking F1 wheel and nothing more. Why is there no word from Logitech on all of this? Sounds fishy to me. I mean, if I could at least try the wheel, I may be so impressed with performance of Logitech direct drive and then would be more then happy to buy. I just don’t want faulty product or to feel underwhelmed. Especially after I wasted about £800 on psvr2 with games and I get crazy motion sickness and the thing don’t even work properly. Not touched it since April last year.

@@ChongolioPR i had mine when it first came out and its amazing, i had the dd pro before and i still have my fanatec podium, and fbb on its pretty comparable to my fanatec podium
Is there any way to buy an adapter of some kind & be able to use the PS5 version of this wheel on Xbox as well? Some people own both consoles & would like to use one wheel for both of them.
We have the same issue, from what I have heard, the Xbox wheel has the chip inside it to work for Xbox. We have a PS wheel and base and it works perfect, and from what people are saying, you could get just the Xbox wheel and attach it to the PS base and it will work. Problem is.... Logitech doesn't sell the Xbox wheel by itself.
I've had the Pro Wheel and pedals for 2 months using F122 and ACC. For the first month, things were great and then suddenly there was no FFB in F122. Then there was, FFB but it would cut out on the corners bringing a new meaning to oversteer. I've exchanged numerous emails with Tech Support and still have no fix. The GHub software appears to be quite buggy even after a long time in market. Great hardware. But I would hold off on purchasing until GHub gets sorted.
I'm so sorry :( i been using the g pro for 3 months now and it's the best thing I used that's less than 1800$( pedals and wheel included). Not a single fanatec felt as good especially at 9nm(my personal highest setting)...micro inputs and feedback, Road textures and granularity. Plus the tactile feedback through truforce. The only two wheelbases I'd buy over this would be simucube or asaetek Invicta. But those costs way more with pedals and wheels. So for around 1200$ this was the best option. My experience with logitech customer support is amazing but I call them everytime and they're very helpful(usa number). I hope logi gets it sorted for you or sends you a fresh piece. Fingers crossed. You deserve what u paid for
You should request a replacement if the issue can't be fixed.
@@soynobody2741 my latest update from logitech support is that there is no fix yet in the Ghub pipeline. But if I hear any positive news, I will let you know. My son is using it with the ps5 and has no issues. I switched to a simagic setup and am quite happy.
@@soynobody2741 Are you using the correct ports on the console for the wheel and made sure there's no console setting that could be causing problems?
I've had mine almost 2 years and have had zero issues. Software works as intended from day 1.
Try reinstalling Ghub. Might help.
I use a pretty low torque setting on (3)on my g923.I am shopping to upgrade,how is the ffb on low torque settings with the pro.
Also ffb on g923 feels cheap,and gimmicky,how much is this improved on pro ?
The FFB improvement between G923 and Pro is night and day, it’s a completely different league. If you haven’t tried direct drive before, you will be amazed.
Umm the logitech pro wheel does have magnetic shifter paddles. The clutch paddles are not magnetic

Logitech should make a budget DD wheel (around 5nm) that could compete with the fanatec gt dd pro. I would buy that immediately especially singe the gt dd pro seems to be the only option for a "budget" dd wheel for ps5

Agreed! I have the pro wheel and use it at 4-6Nm only, I feel like I wasted so much money on all that extra power that I don't use.
Must calculate inflation and compare with mobile phones prices 10-15 years ago. With all technology in G pro, great motor I don't think it overpriced, bought one.
@@Haligonian,the demand is very high all over the world,so remember PS5 in the begining with speculation prices. Maybe two years from now the price will drop some 10-15%, but if you don't want to wait take it or leave it. I have G 27 with changed brake spring, device to use it with PS4(only play Sim), but now also G Pro for 1400€, yes, it's only money. Take care all the GT7 lovers!
@@alexeichikish2221 The point is not that it's overpriced for what it is, it's that it's overkill for what most people need. I'd prefer it to have a less powerful motor and be cheaper.
People complain that some wheel are small and toyish and complain also once the wheel is bigger. It is a game and not a real race car or real steering wheel which some are small or big.
Trueforce is a gamechanger

Logitech should have a model with direct drive between the g pro and g923.
Like a g323DD not as strong as the g pro in the same housing as the g923 (and same pedals as the g923).
I guess I'm super confused by the title of your post due to the fact that every word you said was praising the Logitech Pro nor did anything you talked about mention anything about they're being too slow. I'm so confused.

When people say this wheel is too expensive they don't factor in that the return policy is 30 days and the warranty is 2 years. Fanatec is 14 days and 1 year. So the G Pro is twice as long. After purchase warranty and service matter on expensive products.

Fanatec just lowered their pricing on the CSL DD which will kill this Logitech
If you are on PC yes, not if you are on console because CSL DD is PC only unless you buy Xbox compatible wheel for Xbox, and you can’t use it on PlayStation.
It definitely won't kill this are you joking? The CSL DD is an entry level DD and not that much better than their belt driven wheel such as the CSL Elite.

It's so good feeling the ffb but god it's not got that same hype appeal because it looks like a damn toy lol. They need to get with the program already! They could hsve stole so so much of the market but there design team are absolute idiots imo. Why make something that looks 10 years old? Because you are logitech? Like what? Also the true force makes more noise then some may expect and some may not like it but you feel it which is nice.
Also they have been saying they are working on a few things like wheels etc but yet still nothing lol. They need to build an ecosystem and need to do so fast. It needs to be modern also!

You should consider other companies, if Logitech is unavailable in NZ.

@@storypunman it took me almost a damn month to receive mine in the US after placing my order during their black Friday deals. Seeing how long I had without no tracking information and almost few days away from New Year I went ahead and ordered the Logitech G pro. Two days later received tracking info for my Logitech and it arrived in less than a week. Then the same week I get tracking info for the Fanatec order smh. I will be getting rid of it/selling once I'm done testing both DD. Not dealing with Fanatec ever again.

Fanatec CS DD 12nm Force Feedback 2.0 for Direct Drive at $700 has entered the chat.
Add to that steering wheel and pedals and pedals and it is basically the same price

Lol add similar quality wheel/pedals and tax/shipping from Fanatec and it's a lot more. That's why I just went with Logitech after pricing it up, 1k for the wheel and pedals with a discount code was way less. Trash customer service from Fanatec as well

I bought it with the pedals and I love it, however, the customer support is a joke. No phone, only emails that take days to receive with stupid fix shit! DO NOT BUY IT! ALTHOUGH A GREAT WHEEL BUT IT'S FULL OF BUGS AND NEARLY ZERO CUSTOM SUPPORT.
In the US you can call them directly, where are you from?
Near zero indeed although I have had some good email exchanges and then nothing. I would not like to be a Logitech Support agent these days.
@@simsportgadget Canada and we use the same service, and no you cannot get service directly. If you want to get service by the phone they'll make you pass through hell first.

This! And every SIM racing wheel looks like a toy because they are a toy 🤷. I own a Thrustmasters tgt2 and I've had nothing but problems with it, build quality is not great, this looks solid and is what I'm going to upgrade to eventually

That's nonsense! Fanatec's GT7 wheel and All of Thrustmaster's entry wheels look And feel like more of a toy(by far imho) than this does.
