Some weird stuff for sure but i haven't seen any myself and on the off chance the thousands of stories aren't made up or are nothing than the imaginations of people drugged up or drunk i'd rather not find out. i'll put this way if we assume all accounts are 100% true and accurate than how many more haven't we heard because those encounters turned deadly? I've heard rumors the military for whatever reasons released over 50 subjects into the wilderness in the northeastern united states and it should be noted that sightings during that time which was during thee 1970's increased drastically and have spiked usually during summer and fall seasons globally. point is be careful and stay away from the northwestern portion of yellowstone man i've heard a lot of bad things that have been buried as the public knowing would destroy that parks funding, murders, missing persons, alien sightings (yes seriously), werewolf sightings (aka Dogman) and other paranormal anomalies that i personally haven't experienced but even park rangers have reported these things so i don't know what to believe.
Been in N.Michigan old logging trails and he's right,at night it's very dark! While I've never heard or seen anything Im convinced others have and can see why when your out in vast areas.
Let me tell you people this you may think that the storys you hear are fake but they are not the facts are what did you see and what did you here it's all there is to it because for me it's that I saw a ufo and heard things that I can't explain because people do see things that they can't explain and another thing that I want to point out to you chris is that I want people to understand that this planet isn't always what it seems to be because alot goes on and alot is going to go on until we are no longer here
I am still trying to work out how you can sit in the dark and not be scared, and you never hear anything or see anything,it's amazing Chris, keep the videos coming back they are exciting.Thank You
I guess you get used to it. You learn to trust your instincts and keep your ears open. People nowadays have the music blasting, talking loud, drink and get rowdy. Might as well stay in town if you're gonna act like that. We listened to the wind in the trees, crickets, whip-or-wills singing at night, spoke softly because loud was unnecessary, and didn't let our fires get to big. Sometimes no one said a thing. Trust me, if you do it right, you'll know when something is moving around. I always have a blue heeler with me. I can look at her and tell all kinds of things before she's made a sound. Like if someone has turned down the mile long road at my house, there's only 2 farms down here. I've got her trained to give me silent indications unless it's an emergency. Like the night I took some quilts out to the middle of the pasture on a hill, to watch a meteor shower and fell asleep. No one for miles. She whined and dragged her front claws across my arm. I sat up and we were surrounded by coyotes. I'm a tall woman and just stood up and made myself large and growled loudly like a bear. I had a sidearm but I knew these coyotes were only there because my dog was in season. Plus they were nice and fat after eating all my ducks. Lol. I'm more nervous alone in a house than outside sometimes. No guesswork on finding you then. 😊 just kiddin
I like to do some of the things Chris does to keep things simple. Bring dry stuff in you pack. Preparing food is cumbersome and everything in two parishes can smell your food - unless it's about the food. God knows we love our shrimp and crayfish boils. But then you'd have more people. I took my horse up and did a trail ride with some friends in Tennessee. Around Jackson, at Natchez Trace. Not too mountainous. They had cockpots, cast iron cooking with tripods, etc... bathrooms and rv hookups but it was still scary to me. Guess because I'm not used to steep hills. Just depends where you are and what you're used to. Oklahoma or the Texas panhandle would be perfect if not for the tornadoes. You can see things around you for miles and miles.
@@bayoulafourche Oh I totally agree about noise-makers and partying in the wild. While on a wild adventure people need to keep their head and stay sober much more enjoyable than being inebriated. I have also had my water pumps freeze in early September. My point is that I would simply like to talk sometime or swap some stories. if not, no worries. if so ....Cheers.
I will only vehicle camp. Due to reports of bear attacks, coyotes, wolves and such. Don't cook. Always take cold cut sandwiches, potato chips and drinks in a cooler. Plus my trusted .38 snub nose gun with hollow point ammo. On my side at all times. Love when it rains when the sound of rain on my vehicle is the best thing ever.😍
I’ve spent 32 years camping in remote places from Alaska to the Himalayas to Patagonia. A few sassy bears but no big deal. The humans you car camp around are far more dangerous. You’re kidding yourself.
I love these stories. My family used to do a lot of camping in the wilderness of northern California. We eventually bought land, and lived in tents for a year, and cooked our meals outside.
God bless Sir Chris pray all is well. Watch out for creature on the loose. Yikes 😬. Going to hear your story for today . Nite nite God bless you all here at Chris video chat.
First of all, the salmon looked incredible! Secondly, the guys, from what you said about them, don't seem like the kind of guys to make stuff up. That combined with an unhealthy : ) number of videos I have watched on the subject, I feel like I am going to have to start believing in BIGFOOT. I have been to Grand Rapids staying in a cabin with friends and we one day took a boat to an island I think named Bear Island. Not-a-fan! You have never seen anyone run around one tiny island so fast to get back to the boat. At least, my friends were amused. Thanks for the fun stories and even more fun, storytelling.
I love how you take me along on your adventures. Not only do i dig the creepy stories but you're so detailed in the history and geography of this big beautiful planet. I would love to go camping but i just dont have the resources anymore. Thanks so so much for taking me along.
Love to sit and listen to stories! My Grandmother was a storyteller and passed it on to me. My son's, nieces and nephews would sit around our camping fire and say "Please tell us a scary story!" They would be all spread out in a circle when I started, by the end of the story there were 5 kids puled onto my triple fold beach chair and my 2 man tent turned into a 6 person tent!!🤣 I so enjoyed those special times with them. That are grown with kids of their own. Still get together at Halloween for hotdogs, marshmallows and scary stories with a new generation! Keep 'em coming!! I so enjoy!!! Thanks for sharing!
Loved the video, music while putting up tent and a really great story (a Minnesotan here). I do the hobo meals in the tinfoil but never with salmon, looks delicious. Thanks for taking us with you on all your adventures! One of my favorite channels for sure. Look forward to them every week. Keep hiking!
-> This video popped up, & I had to watch it right away, because I had a scary experience in MN, even though I live in So. Cal. I might've already posted a comment about it, but Not in detail.. I was chosen to go on a Church Summer Camp canoe camping trip from near Orr, MN, on up to Canada to the outpost there, back in '76.. First night on an island.. Something circled my tent, & I was awake, but my buddy wasn't (we were on a "buddy system" for safety).. She was fair & had gotten sunburned & fallen asleep.. The counselor was with the other gals telling stories.. Something Large started making Noise by our tent, breaking branches deliberately, & since my teacher & Army Dad had Already told us children about Bigfoot, I figured that's what it was!! Finally, the group was breaking up, everyone to their individual tents, & I yelled for the counselor to shine his huge light all around. He did, but didn't see anything.. Later, some gals came charging back, from the makeshift privy, to the tents, having been scared by something large shaking a tree!! One gal had been yelling, "Wait for me!!" since she got left behind a bit, that's how scared they were!! The rest of the night went without a hitch, Praise God, but, when we left the next morning, I was heartily glad to push off away from that island!! The next night we stayed on an isthmus, & I didn't have any qualms about it. The rest of the canoe trip was great!! Back at the Dorms, one night, my best friend & I stayed behind while everyone else went to a shindig of some sort, her not feeling well.. As we goofed off making faces in front of a mirror in the Dorm center, we both heard a huge, loud growl!! I quickly told her to take one Dorm wing while I took the other, & make sure all the windows were locked!! Then we waited in the center until everyone came back later.. & That's my MN experience!! There's others, not as intense, but, they're in CA.. So, that's why I love the MN accounts Uploads!! 👏🏼 Thank you, Chris!! Be Well, Safe, Joyful, Thankful, & Blessed, ALL!! 😻🖖🏼📖🙇🏻♀️🙏🏼🕊️👼🏻🌃🌌🌟
For the algorithm! Another banger Chris, seriously you just don’t miss man! Love your camera work by the way, it reminds me of Les Strouds survivor man. I think people probably take for granted all the work you put in to make these videos being that your by yourself ! Anyways God Speed mate !
Hello from Forest Lake Minnesota. There's a number of Bigfoot stories to come out of the B.W.C.A. and the northern region of the state. I've never seen a Bigfoot but I've heard some things I can't explain including a vocalization in my woods that sounded similar to Ron Moorehead's Sierra Sounds Bigfoot recordings. Whatever it was you wouldn't want to meet it alone, in the dark, and unarmed. It was the nastiest, most vicious, guttural, insane, sounding voice I've ever heard, not to mention the heavy thudding footsteps that went along with the vocals. This happened in the Fall of 13. It went on for a half an hour around 1:00 AM. I've lived here all my life and I'm middle aged.
Hello, Ms Pat here in southern Indiana. I'm 76 and just had a heart attack 😮 Not fun Absolutely love listening to your stories and wish I could smell the fragrant outdoors. I was born in Denver and miss the mountains. My friends call me Indiana Jane because of the hair raising adventures I've had on my vacations. Now days all my adventures are from my arm chair. So thank you for keeping the adventures alive. God bless and keep you safe, Ms Pat
Great story. This one had a ton of commercials though. It made me appreciate the ones without the ads even more. If there aren't ads every three minutes-I can actually listen on a speaker in my kitchen and do dishes without being bored.
I just went back to that video and shut off commercials in the middle...I can't stand commercials in the middle either. ( beginning and end works best ) fyi

I love your way of telling these stories while out in the woods! I love to camp, but would be way to scared to do this alone while telling scary stories...I would creep myself out! Keep it up! Thanks for the great content

I love your storytelling!! I come from a family of storytelling! All stories were true for them. I have done a lot of camping, backpacking in the Pacfic Northwest’! I own property right next to Mount Rainer and have spent alot of time in the woods. I also camp over on the Olympic Peninsula, beautiful woods and mountains as well. I have never been afraid or scared in these areas but I know of people who have. I like the way u tell your stories and I love the amazing scenery! Keep up the good work!
Great, that would explain those noises I heard when I was up there. Bigfoot, I knew it! It's beautiful up in the Boundary Waters, if you like canoeing and camping I recommend it. I enjoy the stories, and am looking forward to more Tales from the Forest. Cheers and stay safe out there. Bigfoot is real!
I live in the twin cities, and the first time I went camping ever was up in the Boundary Waters 10 years back. Ever since we have been doing it at least once a year, it's beautiful country up there. Going this year in the fall and this story will be definitely in the back of my head when I am there.

Sasquatch lurks in the Pacific North west up into the Canadian wilds bordering that region. I grew up in Shadow of Mt. Shasta in the 60s and been deep in big foot country hunting and packing for Decades. Always pack a handy Lever Gun and side arm and big Knife. Spent a few long nights a few times keeping the fire stoked with Lions and other unknown critters prowling about! Cool Story 👍🇺🇸
Super cool story Chris ! Being raised in Wisconsin we had some pretty remote forests but nothing like Minnesota. My brother lived in Bemidji Minnesota and we would go for long hikes , beautiful but scary too, everything is so remote. We did a lot of fishing which was great ! Also did some fishing in Cass Lake. I like how no one else is at this campground! Great spot! Also, I have had experiences in the woods that I can't explain and some things you can't talk about because people will think you're crazy. I have a feeling that these situations are more common than most realize. It's just that no one wants to talk about it in fear of sounding crazy. Love the stories and soundtrack. Be safe out there.

Let me tell you people this you may think that the storys you hear are fake but they are not the facts are what did you see and what did you here it's all there is to it because for me it's that I saw a ufo and heard things that I can't explain because people do see things that they can't explain and another thing that I want to point out to you chris is that I want people to understand that this planet isn't always what it seems to be because alot goes on and alot is going to go on until we are no longer here
Love your cooking too!! What great balance in your videos
Thanks so much! 😊
I enjoy your storytelling so much that it feels like I'm in the wilderness .😂
I am still trying to work out how you can sit in the dark and not be scared, and you never hear anything or see anything,it's amazing Chris, keep the videos coming back they are exciting.Thank You
I would be scared, VERY SCARED!!!
Besides when youre tipsy ya cant make rational decisions. Your dog must be your best friend and a very trustworthy one.🐾🦆🐶
@@helenclark7876 lol she is. She's my 3rd Jessy. I also have a standard Australian Shepherd- my 4th Ace lol. I leave him at home most times, he's too much of a handful and weighs 80lbs. I took him once but he barked at everything that moved so he stayed in the horse trailer most of the time. Jessy is laying across my feet as I write this. I'm getting older, turned 61 July 12. I don't feel a bit different but I love my furry friends too much I think. I also have a manx cat named bitty lol. I needed a mouser and had never had cats before. She sleeps on top of me at night. If I stay up too late she doesn't like it and let's me know. My kids worry about me being alone too much, but I don't feel alone. I'm probably getting a little crazy lol. At least I don't run barrels anymore. I never understood why people always have to have noise going. But I'm a writer and have a house in the French Quarter when I want noise or feel people'y. My people are from northern Scotland. We are a bit mystical and different.
Just found you recently and have been binge watching your "spooky stories" videos. You're a natural story teller. I'm loving your channel.
I'm a new member of about a month ago. I really enjoy your stories!! You put me in the middle of the wilderness. I can almost smell the smoky campfire. So, thank you and look forward to more....
And the smell of coffee in the air!
Like your hillbilly music Chris! Love to listen to your stories, keep um coming! 🤷😂🤣👍
They were extremely fortunate to make it out alive!!!!
Excellent story, thanks.
GREAT. CAMPING.
Hdy chris trying to catch up with all your awesome storytelling videos👍 beautiful🌿 Cheers🍻 ✨Much love and respect🌿 ⛺🔥🌲
GREAT. STORY.
as an Eagle Scout Born and raised in Minnesota. I have experienced the BWCA 24 years in a row. I have been completely soaked by rain and covered in 🪰 in early June.
That is awesome!🌲
Your laughing is so contagious and grateful and appreciated ❤
God bless Sir Chris pray all is well. Watch out for creature on the loose. Yikes 😬. Going to hear your story for today . Nite nite
God bless you all here at Chris video chat.
I haven't seen or heard Bigfoot, but, I certainly BELIEVE in them!!
What was so bad with Bear Island? It sounds so cute?
Thank Steve, Roy, Dave and his son Mike for those crazy and frightening experiences. Folger coffee packet that's a new one. Cheers. Keep hiking 🥾🥾
I love how you take me along on your adventures. Not only do i dig the creepy stories but you're so detailed in the history and geography of this big beautiful planet. I would love to go camping but i just dont have the resources anymore. Thanks so so much for taking me along.
So far ... my favorite story! 😮
Stumbled upon this channel by accident ....so glad I did great stories and entertaining .only trouble is I can't stop watching till 3am most nights
😱
Finally a fresh perspective to the unknown, non political and no tribalism, thank you sir.
Sounds nice and very cute! That is a wonderful tradition to have!
Bless you for giving your family such great memories -- priceless and rare.
Der Wald ist ja schon gruselig und dann auch noch so eine Geschichte
Thank you Sonja!! it is kinda creepy...I am comfortable there....( until
I hear something weird!! )
That is awesome! I grew up in Minnesota...I'll be doing more Hobo style meals...Thanks for watching. KH!
Wow! That was scary! I'm never going into the woods again, hello Motel 6!
LOL...just don't look under the bed at the Motel 6....glad you enjoyed. KH!

@ricklong3260 Yes, I have heard reports along the St. Croix tòo.
Hello, Ms Pat here in southern Indiana. I'm 76 and just had a heart attack 😮 Not fun
Absolutely love listening to your stories and wish I could smell the fragrant outdoors. I was born in Denver and miss the mountains. My friends call me Indiana Jane because of the hair raising adventures I've had on my vacations. Now days all my adventures are from my arm chair. So thank you for keeping the adventures alive.
God bless and keep you safe,
Ms Pat
I love the way you show the fire in a way that makes us feel like we're sitting around it with you.
Oh man, that campfire looked so warm and comfy! Very beautiful! 🤗
Great story!!!
It just proves that you don't have to have blood and guts to have a nice, creepy tale 😱!
Oh yeah, the woods are SCARY enough!!
Great story!!!! Scary!!Love your location!!
Loved the story! I truly believe! Just wondering if you have ever had any strange things or noises happen to you! We camp in Michigan as much as we can! Even tried winter camping this year!! Keep telling us your stories!!!
Yes I have...I'll tell my story sometime. Glad you enjoyed. KH!
Love your stories, the way you make them so interesting, personal. Great sense of humor, unique facts you researched about the forests, areas. So entertaining! Thank you soo much!
I love your way of telling these stories while out in the woods! I love to camp, but would be way to scared to do this alone while telling scary stories...I would creep myself out! Keep it up! Thanks for the great content
Loved the story and the foil meal. Try basmati rice instead of potatoes and add grape or cherry tomatoes and onions...it's delicious! Think I'll share your story with my son. He's 44 and going to the boundary waters with a group in a few weeks with his 2 sons. 😂
You make camping look so cozy and peaceful. I love your stories, I am a new subscriber but absolutely love your content! Keep it up!
Great story. Should be enough for people to understand what is going on.
But you telling the story makes it better. Thanks for this
Thank you! C
This is my new favorite video of yours. Chris you really gave a great talent. Thanks for doing these.
Wow, thank you. More to come. KH!
Yes, amazng.
I go to the BWCA every summer and I have been looking for scary stories but I may be starting to regret it lol
Another great story Chris.
thank you.
I live in Ireland I love story telling!! No sasquatches here thank god but we have other like green man, fairy folk, banshee would love an Irish version of this channel! would be brilliant if someone did it!!😃🙌🇮🇪

Chris you’re just the cutest storyteller ever! Keep it up 🌞🌺🌲
Thanks so much!
Love the stories, and the historical information on different areas and people. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to your next video.👍🏻
Thank you Dan! Appreciate it! KH!
I love the sound of the crackle and poppin of the fire!
I love a campfire period!
Thanks Ben...yes- the BWCA is awesome! More to come. ( I like that...Tales From The Forest!! )
That was a good one😀
I live in the twin cities, and the first time I went camping ever was up in the Boundary Waters 10 years back. Ever since we have been doing it at least once a year, it's beautiful country up there. Going this year in the fall and this story will be definitely in the back of my head when I am there.
A proper outdoor dinner. Top marks.
Yes, all you need now is a woman to wine and dine! 👧👦
How very romantic! 💏 Js.
Hey Chris, great story! the only thing missing was a beam of light from a flashlite, under your chin. Lol that first crack while telling story made me jump. good one!
Hey Bernie, I'll take my head light and flip it up! Thanks for watching!
Oh yes, that cracking made me jump too and when I jumped, I woke up my husband, he was NOT happy!!
(I wear headphones while watching these videos so my husband can sleep!)
I really do appreciate that you aren't afraid to "car camp" amongst so many that say to get the true experience you have to be roughing it.
To me, any time that you "car camp" anywhere you are "roughing it", because you never know who's around!
Just found this channel and I’m currently binging all your scary story videos. These are great!! Love the fact your out in actual woods telling scary stories lol that’s awesome
Oldie but a goodie. Seriously there all great as long as you tell us . hows your mom & dad. Love em 📸🌃🌄💙🥰🐶

Awesome! Thank you! Keep Hiking!
I love your little Troll doll!! I have a small collection of them, I think their so cute! I had more as a kid, but, lost them during moving.
Being a storyteller myself I enjoy listening to them also, specially about the wilderness mysteries !
Simple things in life love it 😊😊
hey chris......love the videos, and tickled pink that you have incorporated some story telling into your repertoire. 😎👍
Wasn't aware you drive a comfortable run-around vehicle, looks like a wonderful evening you had ❤👌🏽💪🏽💯
Yes, thank you
Lets go chris!!!! love the camping, love the stories, love your youtube journey!
Thanks so much!!
Enjoyed watching you set up and build your fire. As old as man itself, our love for a good fire in the wild.
I love the Midwest but prefer northern CA winters so much nicer❄️if I want to see snow I go to Tahoe ❄️❄️❄️❄️love that lantern! Going to get one!
Your Best God Bless !
Thank you so much Cherl! Sounds like some good memories from the mid-west...winters are cold though!! Spring is coming and I'm excited to get out more now Keep Hiking!
I lived on Leech Lake. I was 35 minutes from Bemidji. Small world.
I know, that lantern is so cool!! I would like to (at least) get a couple of those lanterns myself, but, I forgot where Chris said where he bought them from, does anyone remember?
Thank you.
Man , do I just love yur scary stories 💪💪💪💓💓💓👍👍👍
Thank you so much!
Thanks Joshua - appreciate you sharing that!
Nobody here would think that you're crazy if you told us about your experiences Joshua!
