    THIS is the kind of channel we need for retrogamers. I've seen others show their rooms and give you links to their shelves, etc, but none have gone so deep into how to display your consoles and games and goodies like you have. Man, you deserve 1M subs by now!

      You are the kind of comment I need lol! Thanks very much for taking the time to do that! I felt this was missing from the community so as ive been learning to display my own collection I figured this would be a great qay to share it and also gather everyones thoughts and ideas. Idk if it'd be a good fit for your channel or something you'd wanna do, but I think a video about merchandise display ideas would be really cool!

    • @DiskCart
      @DiskCart  5 років тому

      Yeah Ive definitely spread them thin among the videos over the years having them in one place would be really nice! I have this weird thing where I can't recommend something I don't personally have experience with even if some tells me its awesome. So for the larger items like the zippo case for instance I will defer to someone who has one in a "Co Op game display video" where I collaborate with another channel. I actually search for these guys who have these displays to bring them on. The smaller store displays I have a few of and should be able to make a video on! Good Idea!

    We've wanted to get the glass display cases for a while now, but their size is what holds us back. It's tough making room for it after the fact that we didn't LEAVE room for it, if that makes sense. Ha! Game display dog! Say, we've got that covered and didn't even know it!
    4:28--I'd recognize Captain Algebra's setup anywhere!
    I always dig a good game room tour because it's great seeing how others set up their space and how clever they are with their displays. Not only is it good for ideas for our own rooms, but also the extra bits, like the art pieces, and tracking like items down. It's great being introduced to things we may otherwise never have known about.

    That was good! And it gives me an idea for you. Okay, imagine this. The Disk Cart Road Show. Take some time and travel to different game rooms to show them off and comment on your favorite parts. You probably can't travel coast to coast, understandably, but even within only a couple of states you could probably find several volunteer game rooms to feature. Just a thought!

      Holy cow that is big then! Ive grown to love finding design choices for game rooms. Its weird because I don't ever feel the need to critique a gameroom just find the ideas and what works. I imagine interior design could be a really fun field to work in and especially challenging if working with people on their homes. My background is pretty crazy all over the place but heavily rooted in art. Its amazing applying some of just those basics to this and seeing the results. Thankyou!

    This is a reddit post I made earlier that I think you could help me with: I love collecting. But that’s the point, I love looking back at all my systems and games and seeing the history behind them but I never see myself continuously playing older games. I just seem to always come back to the switch of my Xbox 1 to play newer releases. I put a retro game in to play, play for 10 minutes then swap to super smash bros. ultimate instead. But looking on my shelves I see how much respect and curiosity I have for these wonderful pieces of history. Please tell me what to do. I need encouragement/help to carry on collecting because I don’t want these expensive games just decorations on my shelf.

      Definitely not from this one inparticular or the seller.
