Thanks so much! I really appreciate that. We have a lot of fun in the game room and it's definitely a gathering space for all our friends. It's the best part about it 😁
I started my down basement game room. But sadly I was never into consoles until recently. I was a big PC player got over 500 games on Steam. Hard to display digital games. However last year I bought a 360 and started collecting 360 games. I started buying physical copies for my Switch instead of digital. Just last week. I picked up a Wii barely used mostly sealed still for 200 Canadian. Came with Wii fit, Wii sport and all the accessories for them. Two years ago I bought a Legends Ultimate arcade. Hooked my Retro Shooter Pandora box to it. It's now my all in one Shooter/Arcade cabinet. With 4400 games. Got all my movies, TVs shows and military history books displayed. Bought 80s style Retro arcade rugs. Strung up LED lights. Looks nice for someone who isnt very skilled at crafts, or building. Everyone who's been down there loves it. Family from church with two kids. Said it's better than the arcade are small town has. In total my space is about the same size as there Retro Room. I love there set up. I love that they both play games. I've tried so many times to get my wife interested in gaming. She just dosent care.
Can’t believe how good those paintings looks. Always been jealous of peeps that can paint/draw so well. You have talent! Love the lunar one and river city
Trust me I did not start out good. Tons and tons of practice. Still working my way towards being able to paint a realistic portrait I got a ways to go lol. I very very much appreciate your comment. Scott would very much agree with you on the favorites 😊
Thank you so much! I've been having so much fun making paintings for our game room. I'm really hoping to make something Alice madness returns, Last of Us, or Resident Evil 4 for the space sometime very soon.
Subscribed!! Im so glad this popped up on my home page! You guys are both incredibly talented. From the custom woodworking, signs, the paintings..wow!!! So cool to see a game room that is so personalized with things youve both made yourself!! Look forward to seeing more!
Thank you so much for the great comment. It's been a lot of fun building the game room and personalizing it. I'm actually working on a new painting for the space, the last of us, so I'll have to figure out a spot for that :)
Thank you so much for the kind comment. No, I haven't displayed them at any conventions. We don't really have a whole lot around here. If I could get prints made that would be pretty cool. Mostly I just paint for the game room and have actually sent a few out to some of our UA-cam friends. I thought about selling and taking commission pieces but it's so hard once you spend so much time with a painting to let it go.
Yeah I wouldn't want to part with most of that stuff either. That's why I was thinking of the exhibit. I said museum, I meant exhibit. I'm sure a lot of other people would love to do the same, whether for sale or not. I've only been to one convention and the main focus of them is the sales booths of course, but I actually avoid most of that and go for the stage shows, the freeplay consoles and arcades set up and the panels through the day. It would be awesome to also have a place set up just for viewing cool stuff. I see potential mucho dinero in your future. :)
Love your game room. I agree with a statement you said that when you walk around your game room it makes you happy. That’s why I built my game room too. You mentioned another video on your artwork. Yes, please do that, you have amazing art 🙂👍
Thanks so much! ❤️ Building a game room to relive your childhood happiness is so the right reason to do it. Yes, we will do an artwork video sometime in the future. Thanks so much for all the love!
I just came across your channel by chance. Not only are you two incredibly likeable, your game rooms are undoubtedly some of the most beautiful, well thought-out and lovingly designed rooms to be found on UA-cam. It's really nice to see how you use your talents together to build something really beautiful. I can really feel your passion for collecting and playing. If I could I would give you 1000 subscriptions! :) Best regards from Germany - Viele liebe Grüße! :)
Oh that is just the sweetest comment. Really really appreciate that. And we've been having so much fun putting together the game room over the last 5 years that it's a bit bittersweet to have it all done... But of course there will still be more builds and more paintings and who knows what else in the future. 1,000 subscribes would be nice and sounds great. But more importantly, just happy to see you enjoying our content and having fun with us. Cheers from NB Canada :)
Jen!!!! You and Scott have the most comfortable and awesome game room I've ever seen, the custom artwork you do really makes the game room. Definitely a chill place, why do all the coolest people live in Canada. Drink a beer for me. Love you crazy kids.
We have Mary from Co-ople of Nerds working on a teleporter. Hopefully someday soon we can have everyone over for a hang sesh :) We will absolutely drink a beer for you. Thanks so much for all the love Chris :)
I would soooooooooooooooo love to have a collection like yours. Seeing your collection brought back memories of when I was a kid growing up in the 80's & 90's
It's been a fun time building the collection. I would say between the toys, the comic books and the games we've been collecting for close to 15-16 years. Never too late to get started. Nostalgia is such a powerful thing
Absolutely amazing. Scott I’m sure you already are aware of this but it bears repeating. You are a lucky man. Jen is one of a kind. Love the rooms, thanks for the tour.
You are too sweet! I think he probably knows and I definitely know I'm a lucky lady too! It's a little bittersweet knowing that we're done but Scott's been complaining about the back wall being too dark so who knows 🤷🏼♀️
Thank you for such a kind comment. Yeah we spend pretty much every weekend in the game room. We ended up having to install a second doorbell just for downstairs 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you so much! So thankful that Scott pushed me to try making gaming art before it only ever did abstract and it's now my favorite hobby besides gaming :)
Thanks so much ☺️ Don't get me wrong. We absolutely love our video games but being able to put our own sweat equity into the space and make it our own is what we love about it. It's a little bittersweet that it's all done though.... I'm sure we'll find other things lol
First thing I notice is the Lunar Painting on the Retro Room door! Absolutely stunning! I think we all have that one designated little area for recent pickups while they are waiting for their performance. I call mine the fluff closet…🤣 I think the Xbox kegerator will always be a favorite of mine every time I see y’all’s game room. Seriously though, we all see a lot of the main game room and absolutely love it….but Wow! The retro room is full of nostalgia from my childhood floor to ceiling….GI Joe, WWF, comics. Haha! I even had a full set of A Team figures as a kid too. That is a sweet setup. Awesome job on the room and the tour video! 🍻
Not going to lie, the Lunar painting makes me happy every time I go down the stairs. Super Metroid's still my favorite but maybe if I play a Lunar..... You have an entire fluff closet! We just have a fluff cubby. 😂😂 I love the Xbox beer Tower as well. I wish we could find a way to decorate more behind the bar. Who knows. If I run as a space, I might start putting paintings on canvas boards and hanging them on the cupboards. The retro room is definitely my new favorite part of the basement. I find myself wanting to game a lot in there because it's so cozy and like a big hug of nostalgia! Thanks so much for watching and commenting Josh. It means a lot ❤️
Fantastic! Love how everything is front facing and displayed nicely. You can tell that these rooms are filled with items that you guys are passionate about. The projects have all turned out so well!! Keep it up!! :)
Wow, these rooms are absolutely insane! I look at some of your stuff, and it reminds me of my childhood! I had 4 passions when I was a kid: G1 Transformers, GI Joe, Lego, and Micro Machines. And then video games took over, and the rest is history! Those paintings are so awesome, you're so talented, Jen! And I know that I'm not the only one who thinks that with all the paintings you've done for your friends in the community! My favorites would have to be that Lunar one (also one of my favorite rpgs) and that Joker! One of my friends in the States would kill to have that in his home as he collects only Batman and Joker, well everything lol! And Scott with the woodworking and the custom signs are something that I would put in my gameroom if I had one! I mean, come on, a transformable Optimus Prime! I'm disappointed that you didn't showcase NHL 94, only the best hockey game of all time, lol! The last thing I want to mention (because this is turning into a novel) is that wooden TV in the Retro room! Long story short, I had to move from home at 19 and I basically had nothing besides a bed, a fridge and a stove, so my grandma help me out by giving me a ton of stuff that was in her basement that she hadn't used in years including that wooden TV (maybe not the exact same model but pretty similar)! It became my gaming TV for 2 years before I bought a brand new CRT one back in the day! That's the most vivid memory from your room tour and one that I cherish! This was really fun to watch and brighten my day! Great video and keep up the good work!
Reliving our childhood is the best part. It's probably why the retro room feels so cozy and inviting. I could feel my happiness swell and swell going through talking about the room and how we've loved sharing it with our family and friends. Painting has been such a great escape for me and it makes me so happy knowing how much people love it and how I've been able to share it with lots of people all over the world. Scott is an amazing builder and he doesn't give himself enough credit. He also built our bar in the gameroom (which we often forget to mention), all the shelves and the boxes for my game art. Love your story about the CRT and this one actually came from Scott's childhood basement. His grandmother (who sadly passed away in 2019) raised him and it was his first gaming tv too :)
Thanks so much! It's been really cool being able to collect all the stuff we have and it certainly makes us happy seeing it all displayed and reliving our childhood.
Hi folks! Wow,AMAZING game room. I subscribed to your channel after reading Mort's comment about this video. My wife and I live in Vermont,in out early fifties,I'm the nerd she loves. My best to each of you and take care. 👍🙏🎮🕹🤓
Mort is the best!!! Thanks so much for subscribing. Scott and I are 43 and 45 respectively and love nerd culture. Happy to see you among our community nerds. Much love :)
Good morning Jenn and scott. Scott,I've been trying to find the Metallica shirt you're wearing in this video. Wtf? I also LOVE metal. 80s especially. Have a kick ass day!🤘🙏👍🎮🕹🤓😈
@@Dr.Serious1970 We actually ended up picking that up from a pawn shop in our area. It was a tour shirt from there tour back in 2011 that we sadly didn't go to :(
The second game room is new as of this past fall. It's something we've been working towards but so happy to finally have it complete it even though it's a bit bittersweet. SEGE had to be a part of our game room. It was the most amazing time and some of the best gaming memories we've ever made!
I'm always amazied no matter how many times I see the paintings in your videos. You guys really use the space well and makes me wish I had more than the tiny closet room I have to work with. I have stuff in storage because I just don't have place to put out everything. It would be amazing to be able to hang out in your game rooms sometime.
Dude we would love nothing more than to be able to have you in the game room. That is the reason we built the game room to begin with to be able to share it and if you ever find yourself in Moncton New Brunswick, send me a message 😁 Thanks so much for the sweet comment about the paintings as well. We're running out of space to put them and I still have so many more ideas.
That is two wonderful games rooms.....love them both. Both set up perfectly......set up for friends to enjoy too, right upy street. Btw, I totally agree, setting up a PC on the CRT is excellent 👍 Thanks for sharing ......now I need a bar for my games room😂
You definitely need to bar for your game room. I can't recommended enough. Also, I'm planning on doing a how-to video or something along those lines of how I set up the PC to the CRT sometime soon. I have lots of b-roll from it so I might as well use it
Your gameroom is absolutely incredible. You guys are both so talented with the art and building projects you've done. It really gives a personal touch to the room that I've not really seen anywhere else. I need a solution for my controller storage, but all of my console boxes take up so much room! I have a space to do it, but everything in my room has to be mounted into poured concrete or aluminum studs... and it's super annoying. The Atari setup with the old wood grained TV is perfect and you guys have it displayed perfectly. I've wanted to have all of my 2600 games put in those miniboxes... but it's hundreds of games and would cost a ton to do it. I'm just in awe of how you and Scott optimized the space in these rooms. You can tell that it's really well thought out and there is hardly any wasted space. I loved the video!
Thanks so much, you inspired our game room tour honestly with the personal stories. I tend to try to do a more quick to the point tour but I think we were losing the charm we saw in yours. Ughhhhh yeah, having to work with aluminum studs and concrete is a nightmare. I don't know if it would cost too much to do all the mini boxes besides photo paper and printer ink, the real cost would come at your time. Tell the kiddos and the wifey it's arts and crafts night. Free labor LOL We knew we'd have to be creative with space because of all the windows, entrances, weird small doors and curves. The worst though is I've run out of space to put up art work and there's still so much I want to create lol. Thanks for all the love Jamie.
@@RetroRivals you're too nice! I'm glad I could inspire you guys a little bit. I still feel like the new kid on the block... I have no idea what I'm doing. 🤣 There's always more room! You'll find it somewhere.
@@RNGGamerYT New Kid, pssshhhhh, You're teaching all us old dogs new tricks. You're channel is really doing great things and it feels very much like comfort food for the soul. You'll just have to accept it!
Absolutely fantastic tour!! I love the way you guys display everything! So many wonderful games and systems and cool items! Wish we could come see for ourselves sometime soon! Thanks for sharing with us and telling us some super cool stories about your space and collection!
Steve, you and Leanne have an open invitation any friggin time you want to come visit our door and game room are always open! Nothing would make me happier.
This was SO much fun to tour! That's WILD! I JUST picked up that exact same boom box from the thrift store last week. :) Loved seeing the new space in the second room too. Awesome vid guys!! Great space.
Thanks so much Scott and your ears must be ringing because I was just talking too my Scott about you and an idea we have for a video response to RNG gamer. I'm not sure if you're following him, but he's phenomenal.
Finally found some time to check out the new game room. Love the gamecube sign Scott! The main area is so clean and really pops. Love it! Really happy you guys finally have a retro room especially with some nice CRTs now. Looks awesome. So many great things in your gameroom. Well done guys and congrats on the 5k subs milestone!
Thanks so much and also it was super sweet of you to share the link :) We've had so much fun building and putting the rooms together over the last few years. It feels bittersweet to be done.
@RetroRivals gamerooms are never done ;) and hey no problem! It really is a great set up and the world should see it! Now it's time for you guys to enjoy the fruits of your labour!
Second best game room after my messy game garage...😂😂😂, Just kidding! This is awesome! Congratulations! especially for all the custom things that you have done yourselves.🍻🤘🎮🕹.... All the paintings are amazing and everything else too!.... super!.... Nice shirt by the way, keep it metal!🤘😬🤘
2nd place, we'll take it! 👍 The custom pieces are oursfavs too....well I really like the games but the customization makes it uniquely ours. We will always keep it metal. Thanks again so much for the awesome comment and watching 😊
Love the retro room! Love me some old school WWF. It's awesome that you both are great at building and creating art. I have trouble with putting together the Ikea sock drawers. 😂 Thanks for sharing this. 🤘🤘
Old school WWF is the best. I don't think WWE now even compares. Lol IKEA sock drawer 🤣🤣 Scott is the master builder and if we wanted to take four times longer than I do it, so I feel ya 😂
Super! Metroid is still my favorite painting in the room and it's one of my favorite games. I've been really wanting to make a Castlevania painting too.... I have some ideas. I just have to get it done lol
OMG such a nice comment! Thank you so much. We wanted it to be cozy without being cluttered and welcoming for gamers of all ages. Thanks for checking out our spaces. The basement is definitely our happy place!
Thank you so so much for the nice comment! That really means a lot. It's definitely the best way to enjoy the hobby. Sharing it with each other and then also our family and friends makes it less of an isolating experience.
Aside from the games, best part of that room is the doggy🥰I’d gladly not leave your home under various threats for days at a time, genuinely insane set up you’ve got. Congrats!! I’ve got a lil over 300 games and am already tellin myself to chill out haha. I couldn’t picture trying to have & store this level of a collection. Thanks for sharing!!
Teddy is our favorite part of the game room as well. And I'll tell ya, I just helped my parents move to their new house over the course of the last few days and it makes me realize we have entirely way too much stuff 😆🤣. Our son is going to have a heck of a time dealing the with this when we're gone 😆🤣
Well GEEEEE WIZZZZZZ!!!!! Astounded and lost for words 💙 Scotts comment towards the end about "not going out", I think a lot of us can relate. Being at home is so much better, cheaper, cosier and cooler than a night out on the town 🫶 Jen, do you sell your art? You could make a fortune and you'd have at least 1 overseas customer right here 🤞🙏 Teddy, THE best boy, obviously star of the show 🤩 Honestly, the secret compartments, the toys (TRANSFORMERS!!!!), the art, the games, the bar, the couch....everything. Man, you should Air BnB your place and charge whatever you wanted for a night. Dangerous tho 'cos there may be a few sticky bandits out there 😅 I just absolutely loved this 💙
I smiled reading your entire comment ❤️❤️ We just had friends over again last night and we played some VR. The best part is being able to host people and know that no one is going to be bored and they're going to have a great time. I've been toying with the idea of selling my art. Now that I have my art room, it's a possibility. Teddy is my favorite part of the game room whenever he's down there :) I'll probably pass on the Airbnb idea lol. Thanks so much for your super sweet comment! I always look forward to reading them
Thanks so much, really appreciate it. Funniest story about the Optimus prime is that when Scott was building it, he told Alex he wasn't allowed in the garage but Alex snuck a peek and saw wheels attached to wood and though Scott was making a wheelchair 🤣🤣
This was awesome to watch! I'm glad you guys popped up on my feed as I'm modding and customizing my own retro consoles. All my favorite consoles modded to play every game from their respective catalogs (full North American catalog, but only PAL exclusives, with some Japanese exclusives too) and painted and modified with HDMI and wireless controllers. I can't wait to build my game room. Again, this was amazing to watch, and Jen's artwork is top-notch. You've got another subscriber!
Welcome aboard!! Modding and customizing consoles is a blast. We have a second Nintendo and I really want to paint it. I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Thanks so much for the kind comment about the artwork 😊. You'll have to let us know when you have your game room done. I'd love to see a picture of it!
Thank you so much for the great comment and we have the best time getting together and hanging out in the game room. It's our little slice of heaven amidst the chaos of adulthood
youtube vids! lots of amazing tutorials out there for sure. I got my pc hooked up to a CRT thanks to all the useful info I found. Might make a video about that soon
@@rayala111 It was such an amazing gift to give him. We actually did a Christmas video on it :) I surprised him pretty good and got to tour the guy's basement that sold it to us
It's probably our biggest passion in the room and the hardest to collect for! Once Scott went over to the dark side and became a RPG gamer our PS1 collection started to really evolve
I have never wanted to go to a stranger's house more than I do right now lol. Awesome game room! I love that u guys made it uniquely yours with all the custom work. Great Job!
Bahahaha love it! Our favorite part about the game room is hosting people and making the space come alive. Thanks for noticing how much thought and ourselves we've put into th space. We love it and love sharing it with you all as well
Thanks so much! I was tempted to make it shorter but I feel like hearing the personal stories and seeing everything up close is what people love most ❤️
Thank you so much for the great comment and for recognizing how much fun we have as a couple in our gaming space. We love it both so much and we love hosting our friends. It's the best part of our house!
@@RyanLake-pr3hy It was a fun little project. I tried to make a video of it but I didn't. Have a great angle on the camera and the vinyl was a little bit hard to get sitting down on the light. I'm just happy it turned out great and everybody enjoys it
Looks amazing guys, and so much of your own creations in there is what I love the most... very unique and I can better a very happy place to be, excellent work!
That's the best part for us as well. All the personalized stuff and the love and care we put into it makes it ours. Always a fun time together and with family and friends. Thanks so much for the amazing comment. Really appreciate it.
That was the plan and being able to retrofit everything by building our own shelves helped with that a lot! Thank you so much for your great comment! It means a lot ☺️
I am in awe of the creativity! Love the retro room! You've given me great ideas for my own stuff as I have a bunch of old systems and games I need to display. BTW...I still have some HD-DVDs...😊
Always happy to help with inspo! Many have inspired us along the way too. I think that's what is great about the gaming community. Nice on the HD-DVD's! They literally don't exist in our area. We never seen them
Such an awesome game/retro room's you have, I've told friends that if I had the money and my own house, this is the game room I'd make myself, of course it would be different, but nonetheless it would be awesome like this. Scott, love the Metallica shirt, and I love the Metal Mulisha beenie you have, I need to find myself a beenie like that. Jen love all the artwork you have done,it all looks awesome, if I had the money, sadly I don't, but if I did, I would definitely ask you to paint me a 5 lion Voltron ( Voltron form) with him holding the blazing sword in one hand, while the other hand would be stretched out just like in the cartoon . You guy's are awesome loved the tour
Always happy to be an inspiration. Much of the community has been that for us through the years as well. We actually got Scott a new beanie on Ebay for Christmas. I think my dad gave him the original one. That would be a wicket painting!!! I wish I could just make a painting for everyone and send it out. Giving personal gifts is definitely my fav thing.
Have you played grandia 2 or vagrant story? Enjoying grandia 2 but don't have the first one. All these paintings make it unique. Your videos give my so much joy.
Nope, he hasn't played Grandia 2 or Vagrant Story yet but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets around Grandia 2 this year. He loved the first one. Thanks so much :) All the personal things are what we love about the game room too. Definitely makes it ours
We knew when we start at the game room we wanted to personalize it. Super happy to be able to make it our own and it feels that much more special. Thanks so much for the great comment. It is really appreciated
This is the best games room I have ever seen 😮😮 The sheer size of it, the games, the art and even a beer keg!! Can I come over now please? Right now? Like now? Like right this second?
Surprisingly we don't collect as much as we used to but when you have 1600 games, all of which you want to play it's hard to justify bringing more into the collection lol Don't worry, our game room is dusty too. In hindsight, I would have polyurethane all the shelves because dusting wooden shelves that were painted black. With all that wood grain still in there is damn near impossible 😂😂😂
@@RetroRivals thanks for making videos man! I live in China and don’t have any of my old games with me nor can I easily buy those retro games out here, so I am living vicariously through you. Keep posting.
Two rooms, nice; we just let everything, games and toys, spill over into the whole house. lol The pics and shirt in the stairwell are fantastic. The custom pieces are the best; unique items make for the best stories, no doubt. Say, DP makes for a good VR holder; I like that. Something I thoroughly enjoy is Scott getting to experience, at last and for the first time, so many of the RPGs I grew up adoring. Definitely appreciate the use of posts as hidden storage; I'm all about that storage game. Naturally makes us happy to see comics on display--nice. AND movies as well; physical media forever! Atari on the console TV is perfection. TOYS everywhere; maybe it IS like our house--ha ha. I still have a few of my Joes, including a couple of vehicles and the General. It's awesome that you guys use your game room and host friends coming over; we would love to do that but got nobody in our area (cue sad violin). Fantastic tour of some amazing spaces!
Well I be lying if I didn't say that. We also have consoles and a few games in our main living room and of course Alex has his own little gamer paradise upstairs. When we originally started building the game room we knew we wanted to go as custom as possible and have lots of hidden storage for things that just don't display as well but are much needed in the game room. Certainly had to display comics, toys and all our other passions. Go nerd or go home! Listen if you're lacking gamers in your area, just do what we did, make friends with them (even if they don't enjoy playing games all the time) and then corrupt them to the point it becomes a drug and they have to have it. Then they'll know where to get it ☺️🤣
In your previous game room tour, you had the D Series set up on top of a regular stand. In this tour, you put it on the matching stand in the corner of the retro room.
We wanted to utilize the stand last time but we needed to fit so many consoles underneath it that it just made sense to build a unit to do that. It's nice though to have the matching stand and TV in the retro room as it should be :)
Thank you so so much! We need to start showing that one. Some more appreciation for sure. It's one of the older paintings in the room so we tend to talk about River City girls and lunar a lot but that was the first box art I made and it's definitely special. So thank you for giving it some much-needed love in the comments
This is wonder, it's the better gaming house I saw, I hope one day make me something similar in my house, just a room specific for this because I'm minimalist, but the video games really are my passion. Greetings from México.
Thanks so much for the sweet reply! I'm so sorry I missed this one. Our game rooms are definitely our favorite place in the house. It's a nice little escape and even if you can just have a small room somewhere you can go to escape the rigors of everyday life. I say go for it. At some point we will probably move to a smaller house and shrink the collection a bit, but we will always have a game room. Absolutely always follow your passion :)
Thank you so much for that amazing comment! Yes, it took some time to set everything up. It was a labor of love for over 4-5 years but what's crazy is it's bittersweet that it's pretty much done and I don't know what else we can do to it. It's definitely a gamers paradise and we have the best time sharing it with all of our friends and all of our peeps on UA-cam
Congrats!!!! I really envy your game room and collection! I am not a retro game fan, but I play xbox 360 game here and there! Actually I am playing Risen and they should make grpg genre because these german rpgs has a really unique gameplay mechanism, I see them in western rpgs but not many. Btw Scratches my favourite horror point and click game....
I'm actually playing at 360 game right now as well, Darksiders! Holy is it fun! I really enjoyed scratches right up till the end. It got a little cheesy but it definitely was intense trying to get out of there
Glad you played lunar those games are so good and got them when they came out. Ps1 jrpg were my first games I loved that I bought with my own money. That lunar painting is amazing and love both game rooms. You guys have a great collection and it is set unlike anything else I have seen. Great video.
Have you played all the Lunar games? Scott will get around to them all eventually. Thanks for all the kind words about the painting and then game rooms. It means a lot :)
I really love you guys gameroom. To me it's a pretty perfect mix of like warm cozy and displayability? Dunno if that is even a word, but thats what i feel haha. In general it's very inviting. It screams fun and socializing instead of many many gamerooms that is more storage. Sidenote: Im also glad to see my gameroom aint the only one to struggle with dust when you have alot displayed :D
Oh dude, the dust! I should have dusted first but I needed the b roll and just filmed it but yes, that's the worst part about building your own shelves, the wood is a lot harder to keep dust free. Thanks so much, that was exactly the feel we were going for. We always want it to be a space that feels welcoming to everyone. I'm happy it comes across that way. Thanks so much for the great comment and for watching
@@RetroRivals Oh dont feel bad about the dust. It made it more authentic lol. I used to try to keep it dust free, but i gave up. I dust the entire room complety twice a year. But the consoles and eletric outlets every other month to keep it safe 👌
Thanks so much and we know we could always fit more games in there but having the artwork displayed and being able to appreciate them means more to us : )
Thanks so much! And that's awesome that you're getting to put time and effort into your game room. In a strange way, I'm sad that everything is done, but I'm sure we'll find ways to mess with it again and change it up. You'll definitely have to share pics with us on Instagram or Twitter. Would love to see your game space
Wow this is amazing guys.. looking at building a games room at home in London so we watching a lot of year lately. This one is my favourite.. amazing. Subscribed 🤙
Oh my Gosh that's awesome ! I'm so happy we could add some inspiration! I would love to see pictures of it when you get started and when it's complete. Definitely find us on Instagram or Twitter and send us a message!
I wasn't even making videos when Jenn made that Super Metroid painting l!!! We all know Scott may be the longer term gamer, but Jenn is the true talent 😉 Seriously though, what a lovely gaming space. Love you guys 😎👍
That's crazy to think about cuz I feel like we've all been friends on UA-cam forever. I see you're compliment and I'll take it 🤣 Thanks so much for all the love as always. Hoping to be able to meet up with you in 2025.
Sorry for the slow reply. Thank you so much for such an amazing comment. We really love the game room and we're happy everyone else is loving it and enjoying it so much as well
That is so incredibly sweet of you to say. We are happy to be able to share the space if only we could have everybody here in person. It's our sanctuary and our happy place. If it's cool to play games and enjoy displaying them with all our nerdy hobbies, we are as cool as they come!
wow. thats one of the coolest game rooms i have seen here on youtube. so much selfmade stuff, big respect!! Greetings from germany😉subscription is out✌
Thanks so much for the great comment!! That's exactly what makes it special to us too. Is all the handmade stuff we put into the room that you just can't buy on a shelf at Walmart or IKEA. Not that there's anything wrong with that but we knew we wanted to have a custom game room and we had a weird layout so we went for it. Happy everyone is loving it so much and that you're seeing it all the way in Germany. Many thanks from Canada
Man, if I lived anywhere near you, I would make every excuse under the sun to be constantly hanging out in your game rooms. Just incredible stuff!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that. We have a lot of fun in the game room and it's definitely a gathering space for all our friends. It's the best part about it 😁
Nice 😎
@@RetroRivals nice Game Room
@@RetroRivals I like your game room
Great game room, guys. And Jen is ridiculously talented 🤘🏻
Thank you so much! I've been having so much fun making paintings for our game room. I'm really hoping to make something Alice madness returns, Last of Us, or Resident Evil 4 for the space sometime very soon.
Wow the paintings are INCREDIBLE! ❤
Thanks so much :)
Those paintings are INSANE
Thank you so so much ❤️ I'm working on one right now I'm super excited about. It's for a charity auction.
New to this channel, but wow! And Jen is sooooo talented. Very nice room and art. Thanks for the tour :)
That means so much to me. It makes me so happy everyone loved the tour and our creations 😊
Those paintings are awesome. Have you ever displayed them at a convention? That would be cool to have a museum like room full of art to walk through.
Building a game room to relive your childhood happiness is so the right reason to do it.
Best regards from Germany - Viele liebe Grüße!
Dont know what impressed me the most, all the games or the custom stuff specially the paintings. It must be hard to leave upstairs lol
Thank you for such a kind comment. Yeah we spend pretty much every weekend in the game room. We ended up having to install a second doorbell just for downstairs 🤣🤣🤣
Wonderful paintings. They take your game room over the top!
Thank you so much! So thankful that Scott pushed me to try making gaming art before it only ever did abstract and it's now my favorite hobby besides gaming :)
Really really cool game rooms! The craftsmanship between you guys really makes this game room one of its kind!
I love the Xbox beer Tower as well.
Thanks so much. It's been a fun process building the room but it feels bitter sweet that it's done.
Both the game room and retro room looks absolutely amazing, you guys have a museum of games, toys/figures, and comics.
Thanks Jenn and Scott. I loved the maple leaf Metallica shirt by the way.🤘
Thanks to both of you. Rock on and Geek on!
It was a tour shirt from there tour back in 2011 that we sadly didn't go to :(
Never realized you had 2 rooms. Breathless tbh. Amazing 🤩
Also, glad to see what we started with Scott’s head immortalized on your hallway entrance.
Btw, I totally agree, setting up a PC on the CRT is excellent 👍
Thanks for sharing ......now I need a bar for my games room😂
You definitely need to bar for your game room. I can't recommended enough. Also, I'm planning on doing a how-to video or something along those lines of how I set up the PC to the CRT sometime soon. I have lots of b-roll from it so I might as well use it
@@RetroRivals great idea on the bar and the CRT video👍
I've got an older PC I have set up on a CRT VGA monitor.....it looks amazing👌
Free labor LOL
We knew we'd have to be creative with space because of all the windows, entrances, weird small doors and curves.

Old school WWF is the best. I don't think WWE now even compares.
Lol IKEA sock drawer 🤣🤣
Scott is the master builder and if we wanted to take four times longer than I do it, so I feel ya 😂
I absolutely love the homemade stuff you have decorating your game room, especially that awesome Super Metroid painting.
Super! Metroid is still my favorite painting in the room and it's one of my favorite games.
I've been really wanting to make a Castlevania painting too.... I have some ideas. I just have to get it done lol
Not even a minute in and just from the pan could already say It's the best game room tour ive seen. It looks like a game store! Nice vid!

You guys are living your best lives. This is incredible. Love the paintings!
Thanks so so much! That we are. Oh and I just put up the newest painting in the community tab. In case you're interested in checking it out 🙂
Collecting some games is one thing, but paiting like Jen is like absolutely ridiculously mad good, She's so talented!!
That is super kind of you to say. I'm just happy Scott challenged me to try making a painting and believed in my skills.
Well GEEEEE WIZZZZZZ!!!!!
Astounded and lost for words 💙
Scotts comment towards the end about "not going out", I think a lot of us can relate. Being at home is so much better, cheaper, cosier and cooler than a night out on the town 🫶
Jen, do you sell your art? You could make a fortune and you'd have at least 1 overseas customer right here 🤞🙏
Teddy, THE best boy, obviously star of the show 🤩
Honestly, the secret compartments, the toys (TRANSFORMERS!!!!), the art, the games, the bar, the couch....everything. Man, you should Air BnB your place and charge whatever you wanted for a night. Dangerous tho 'cos there may be a few sticky bandits out there 😅
I just absolutely loved this 💙
I smiled reading your entire comment ❤️❤️
We just had friends over again last night and we played some VR. The best part is being able to host people and know that no one is going to be bored and they're going to have a great time.
I've been toying with the idea of selling my art. Now that I have my art room, it's a possibility.
Teddy is my favorite part of the game room whenever he's down there :)
I'll probably pass on the Airbnb idea lol.
Thanks so much for your super sweet comment! I always look forward to reading them
@@RetroRivals yeah, the air BnB was a silly suggestion 😂🤣
What an unbelievable room! So many ideas here, the transformer is a excellent piece 👌

Thank you so much :) It's still my fav
I have been on a collecting break.. and watching this makes me wanna collect again.. my gameroom is dusty right now lol
Surprisingly we don't collect as much as we used to but when you have 1600 games, all of which you want to play it's hard to justify bringing more into the collection lol
Don't worry, our game room is dusty too. In hindsight, I would have polyurethane all the shelves because dusting wooden shelves that were painted black. With all that wood grain still in there is damn near impossible 😂😂😂
Awesome rooms and I love your guys dog !
Thanks so much! And Teddy is the absolute best. He's my favorite part of the game room when he's downstairs
Sweet mamasiiiitaaaa
We be gaming!
Awesome game room. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the comment and thank you as well for watching ☺️
That super mario bros 3 painting is absolutely mind blowing.. I'm in love.
Yo that's sick! Congrats!
Thanks so much! Lots of elbow grease and love went into making it what it was.
Awesome!! My idea of paradise! I know that took a lot of work to set up, you guys did and awesome job!
Amazing! What i wouldn't do for a painting like that! 😮
Aww thanks so much. It certainly makes the game room more special to have my artwork in it
I really love you guys gameroom.
Love how the ps1 RPGs are displayed
Thanks so much and we know we could always fit more games in there but having the artwork displayed and being able to appreciate them means more to us : )
Thanks for sharing.. cheers.
It was absolutely our pleasure. Thanks so much for watching ☺️
Wow what a awesome game room… I’ve been working on mine for the last 6 months! 👍🍻
Definitely find us on Instagram or Twitter and send us a message!
still can't get used to you guys calling the Sega Megadrive a ''Genesis'' :D
I know, I feel the same way hearing Mega Drive lol 😂
@@RetroRivals Haha yeah I can imagine :D
I wasn't even making videos when Jenn made that Super Metroid painting l!!! We all know Scott may be the longer term gamer, but Jenn is the true talent 😉
Seriously though, what a lovely gaming space. Love you guys 😎👍
That's crazy to think about cuz I feel like we've all been friends on UA-cam forever.
I see you're compliment and I'll take it 🤣
Thanks so much for all the love as always. Hoping to be able to meet up with you in 2025.
Wow! Well done. What TALENT 🎉
Thanks so much 😊
I love. It Bing back childhood game day.😀👍
It absolutely does! So much nostalgia
Congrats on 5k you guys!
Thank you so so much!
Awesome gameroom guys! gained a new subscriber. cheers
Thank you so much 😊 Happy you liked it and welcome aboard
Awesome job! Passion shines here.
Sorry for the slow reply. Thank you so much for such an amazing comment. We really love the game room and we're happy everyone else is loving it and enjoying it so much as well
Love your video bro keep up the good work my dude you guys are amazing! You guys make my day! Thank you, and you guys will always be cool.
I have a CRT HDTV too! Best of both worlds.
It absolutely is the best of both worlds. You're so right!
your tour is insane also your wife is insane too, so talent with painting skill
.
You are so awesome. What a sweet comment. Thanks ☺️
ur rooms are so cool! and so different from other game rooms, its really refreshing to see!
Seriously thank you so much for that. We put a lot of time and care into the room to make it uniquely ours. Happy you enjoyed it! ☺️
Those paintings are incredible
Thank you so much ☺️
I’m so jealous of that Super Metroid painting, it’s so damn sexy! Best Metroid hands down and one of my top 5 games of all time.
Super Metroid is such a classic game. I could play it 40 years from now and still love it.
