Much like “My Standard deck is Lizard Aggro” holds power, so does “My Standard deck is Otter Storm.” Truly a set full of potentially powerful sentences
Its very important for zinnia that offspring creates an etb for that creature so it can be doubled by delney, if you have delney, you get a double trigger of offspring, and its own trigger, meaning an offspringed dockside is 6 dockside triggers in total with delney, also its an addition cost so can get double off a powerbalance cast
Zinnia stax sounds fun, like it might not be good enough but for sure seems nice so basically all 1fer1 removal is moot Not to mention, being a likely like 5/3 on turn 3 to start pressuring life totals will be pretty nice. (Also with alania the poor lutri not being around is so sad) Arthur seems very cool, being able to put dockside ontop, cheat it in, then just play it again lol.
Crucible of fire for dragonhawk makes me feel some sort of way. Just playing all the like 1/2 cmc dragons and crucible so on turn 5 u just exile like 5 cards. Theres just not enough cheap dragons tho, so nvmd... This deck even without that, probs wouldnt do that. As like if your deck is just shit if you dont draw the 1 card then it feels super rough. But I coulda dreamed of a way to make it work. ;(
Legit ran into Inferno Titan in a cEDH tournament, and while that deck did not win the game, it sure did make the other three of us look at each other in complete bewilderment as to what to do.
@@SenorCoupon Thanks for the info! I run a sort of “anti-meta” Torbran list and I’ve been testing out Inferno Titan as a curve topper for some time. Definitely have gotten similar reactions from pods with mixed levels of success because they just don’t expect to see it in cEDH. It’s cool there may be another possible person trying it out (unless of course you did play me 😂)!
@@TheWizno well, in our pod, I was on Tymna/Kraum Nausless midrange (can call it Blue Farm, but plays differently and is ~20 cards off of meta lists at any given time), seat one was Kenrith, and seat two was Tayam, so there was a lot getting put on the board to target (also, it was a year ago, so more stuff like Lavinia and more creature-heavy builds than the current meta). The Titan itself was rough, and I heard from my friend on Kinnan that it completely confused another pod earlier in the tourney, but the deck it was in could only really hope to kingmake rather than win. I do think Titan can have sneaky value in the right meta, just hard outside of mono red to justify the opportunity cost. Maybe some two color decks could use it if they are grindy, staxy enough and want their high end to control the board.

Titan really wants to be in something like Torbran or Ojer Axonil to really max out that damage output. It’s certainly won me a few games simply because it can throw bolts out on top of being a big beater. My list can kingmake at times depending on life totals but most of my burn is designed to really be as punishing to each opponent as possible so they should be fairly equivalent on that front. It’s a tricky archetype to make work but every now and again I’ll snag a round win in a tournament. I find my best plan is honestly disrupting mana as much as possible and I’ve been leaning a bit creature heavier in light of the grindier value engine meta. I don’t think Titan will hold up when something like Toxrill exists but I could see it in very specific shells for some fringe decks.
I'm surprised y'all are not that excited about zinnia. To me, it reads like recruiter of the guard or imperial recruiter become 1 card combos, and although it's expensive, the double dockside can enable it quite well.
Ive been brewing and working on a Gev list since he came out, the persisit lines are really cool in the deck. Catches alot of people off guard if they dont know how to stop it right away. So far my fav cEDH commander from this set
When Glarb was spoiled, he got me excited to brew around him for cedh with a buddy of mine and it's pretty cool in goldfishing so I gotta get the missing cards to actually play the deck in paper.
Um can I move to America and get some sh1tty job so I can play Cedh in person? I'm in New Zealand and my wife just left with the kids, she had a stillbirth and completely lost her mind, turned from the sweetest woman I ever knew into this vengeful bully child, so I have nothing to live for here. Our court system favours the woman so heavily that she has decided to permanently remove me from the children's lives, I get a 1 hour video call every week .

You can loop lizards with nightmare lines and Gev becomes your wincon

Zinnia and ashnods goes pretty infinite easily with curio. I see storm lines, infinite mana lines, impact tremor lines, spellseeker lines. Plenty
zinnia is great with cloudstone curio, there are easily a dozen creatures that can go infinite in terms of dudes and mana.
