a short story about this. I somehow remember watching h.r. pufnstuf back in the old days of not 1969, but 2008-2010, thing is that my dad would rip dvds of clips i watched on youtube and some of them included h.r. pufnstuf clips and the intro. So watching this was very nostalgic.

Here’s my story. I looked this song up because I heard it on Louder with Crowder. I am 50 years old, so I recognized, but, didn’t really remember HR Pufnstuf. So, I looked it up. The boy in the video was named Jack Wild. He was friends with Phil Collins (the singer) as a child, Phil’s mother was a talent agent and discovered Jack. He was one of the youngest nominees for an Academy Award for his role as the Artful Dodger in the movie Oliver which led to him getting the lead role in the children’s TV show, HR Pufnstuf. The sad thing was that Jack ended up like a lot of child actors. Despite being very talented where he could act, dance and sing (he released three albums), he didn’t think he was anything special. Due to alcoholism, his career fizzled, he had health as well as personal issues and eventually died of cancer at the young age of 53. I watched a few videos of interviews he gave over the years and he was very likeable. It made me quite sad to see what had happened to the happy, energetic, talented kid in this video. My intention isn’t to bring people down, but, I thought people might want to know what became of Jack. A real tragedy. I hope he is at peace.

This song became one of my favorites by Pogo after I watched a little of this TV series, I think it's wonderful and very pure, Living Island song simply awakens the inner child side even though our childhood is gone.
This kid just inspires from his voice through the screen all this happiness of old unseen for me times, i felt so much positive energy for 1st listening. But after all this emotions, this noise of old tapes or something, gives this feeling like when you remember that you forgot something, i hate it. But at the same time i feel happy of sill beeing young. And i hope you too.

My mum loved this show when she was a kid

This song became one of my favorites by Pogo after I watched a little of this TV series, I think it's wonderful and very pure, Living Island song simply awakens the inner child side even though our childhood is gone.
This kid just inspires from his voice through the screen all this happiness of old unseen for me times, i felt so much positive energy for 1st listening. But after all this emotions, this noise of old tapes or something, gives this feeling like when you remember that you forgot something, i hate it. But at the same time i feel happy of sill beeing young. And i hope you too.
