Syria's air defense forces intercepted 71 missiles fired by the US, British and French military. This was stated during a briefing by the chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Colonel-General Sergei Rudskoy.
"The Syrian air defense systems, based on Soviet-made air defense systems, successfully repel aircraft and marine weapons," Rudskoy said.
He noted that the fact that the Syrian air defense forces intercepted the missiles of the West testifies to the high level of training of the Syrian military trained by Russian specialists.
The General Staff added that the attacks of the United States and its allies were aimed at a number of airfields in Syria, including the Shayrat airbase. As a result of the incident, the airfields were not damaged.
Also, there were strikes on a number of objects that had not been used for a long time. They are partially destroyed. "According to preliminary data, there are no casualties among the civilian population and military personnel of the Syrian army," he said.
I think the only thing that can be said about the missiles is there are conflicting reports as to the amount that was shot down, both sides claims different numbers there is no real evidence at this point that would suggest either sides story is true. It is a good Idea to find a trustworthy media outlet that is independent from either government that provides information that was not given to them from either government.

The United States fired 66 tomahawk missiles as far as I know.
