Love your vlogs! They really motivate me to be productive! I would love more vlogs about activities you do to stay consistent on your no buy year. If you don't mind me recommending, maybe you could try new recipes you find online. I think that would help many of us try to cook at home and avoid spending too much eating out ❤

An idea for breakfast that is gluten free and vegan is a small bread made with cassava starch and sweet potato, it’s called pao de beijo in Portuguese and is the vegan adaptation of the version with cheese and eggs, maybe a new idea for your breakfasts
First gen Irish here… Irish breakfast tea is superior! My mom makes sure I put boiling water in the mug before the teabag so it stays warmer for longer!

Hi! I really enjoyed the Darker Shades of Magic trilogy by V. E. Schwab and also the Discovery of Witches trilogy by Deborah Harkness and finally the Wool trilogy by Hugh Howey. A lot of trilogies 😄 but I like that because then you don’t need to make any decisions on what to read for a while!

My go to gluten free breakfast is Bob's Red Mill gluten free muesli. Lots of combo/spice options and its easy to do as an overnight oats whatnot. Shakshuka is a great option too!

As a Brit who is 1/4 Irish, theres some 'stuff' between Southern Ireland and England that makes this a fun combination :P
Also, I'm not an affiliate or anything but I pay under $50 a year for my domain and hosting and SSL certificate and use wordpress plugins. So there are cheaper options. My newsletter now costs me £££s a year but the website is not expensive. Also substack can be an option for email newsletter thats free but you can post it on your website too so its in both places.

I've been using the CAWPILE rating system for the first time this year and I actually like it. so far the ratings that come out are the same as I would've rated the books normally!

try t. kingfisher for shorter reads! definitely not all of hers are like that but 'thornhedge' is pretty short and one of my favorite books of all time! and 'a wizard's guide to defensive baking' is super cute and somewhat light and I think relatively short? to be fair I am used to much longer books so I could be a little off in estimating. Pretty sure libby has both too!

I'm hesitant to suggest any books because The Secret History was one of my favorite books from 2023. For what it's worth, my top 3 books of 2023 were The Honeys by Ryan La Sala, You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight by Kalynn Bayron, and All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.
I have no system for rating books. I base my ratings purely on how much I enjoy the book. I give 5 stars to books I adore, 4 stars to books I love, 3 stars to books I am glad I read. But just barely. Less than 3 means I didn't like the book. I use quarter and half stars to show some granularity
I think the book is amazing but for some reason it's just dragging a little for me. I KNEW I'd get slumped after reading the first 3 ACOTAR books and this is a full 180 from those lol

Quick question about the no buy year. I remember it being mentioned that the breakdown would be presented as a percentage of your income. Will the income be the same each month, or will it vary as you might be including yourube revenue as well? my income will be different each month due to the variable nature of my job and youtube :)

Okay so this isn't a short book but for sure was a quick read for me and since I know you have also read books by Ruth Ware before imma tell you go read one by one if you haven't read it yet... her books are a good way to get out of a reading slump

The Secret History really is only good for its vibe, the characters are so dang unlikable 😅 I don't know if you've read "If we were villains" yet, but its a similar vibe with awesome characters. Another dark academia that's a lot shorter is "A lesson in vengeance". 😊
