✨ about my channel
I will be sharing the ups and downs of life and how to attempt to get through it in one piece. I’ll be sharing realistic life advice, minimalism tips, routines, vlogs, and anything else I think you would benefit from! Life is messy and unpredictable, and learning how to manage these hurdles is the first step to leading a happier and more intentional life. We're all trying our best out here, and I just want to share what is and isn't working for me.
Sending you all my love,
Grace

i’ve always made excuses of why i can’t go without checking my phone in the morning but this video has inspired me to try. most days i can’t even get ready, literally cannot brush my teeth, without a video playing in the background. and then i also end up just paralyzed staring in the mirror because i’m so overstimulated (‘:
hugely relate!! monday's video is about me making my phone as disinteresting as possible so hopefully that helps!! 💗
the new glasses are so cute and look so good on you!
thank you!!! 💗
also, proud of you for doing the work to try to pull yourself out of the bad feelings slump. i personally struggle with doing anything besides sitting and letting the anxiety spiral lol. working on that
sending love!!! it's tough but so worth it
I deleted my IG and fb accounts permanently, and I don't miss them! Good luck!
There is an option to turn your iPhone into a dump phone. Go to Settings, then Accessibility and when you scroll down you have to click on "supportive access" and activate it. You can then choose which apps or generally which functions you want to keep. I use it whenever I feel the urge to have a dump phone because of too much digital consumption. Hope that helps :)
Love your transparency about social media. I have completely deleted my instagram about three years ago and it has been one of the best decisions I could have ever made. Now I just need to get rid of my tik tok.
Im watching this while outside , next to my cat, hearing birds chirp and seeing the stars above but of course the city never sleeps
Totally agree with having less stimuli with electronics . I think all the extra stuff distracts from first getting comfortable with living life in the moment . Creating that space totally helps ground you more , start slow but focus on your goals
Such a nice and calm vlog 🌱 NYC is beautiful!
I quit all social media a few weeks ago and I can’t even tell you the benefits it’s had for my mental health. I’ve also quit reading the news while I’m figuring out a way to stay connected and engaged with the world without it giving me crippling anxiety. I really recommend taking a break from all of it to see how you feel! Now when I get the urge to scroll on my phone, I read an E-book I’ve borrowed on my local library’s app ✨
this is kind of the place I'm in right now!!
What a beautiful, thoughtful vlog. Thank you xx
Thank you for the company and letting me live through your the joy of spring and being able to eat things 😂😂 I'm recovering from a jaw surgery so I'm forced to live very slowly even though I would much appreciate speeding up time until I'm somewhat more recovered. But forgetting about the discomfort and pain while watching your video helps a bit 🥰
aw omg!! hope you heal quickly!! 💗
@@gracenevitt Thank you ! ♥
I’m having my lunch break while watching this video 9:25 lol but your videos are so calm that I don’t actually feel overstimulated 💗
awww loved the bag transition
I’m loving the glasses (soooooo much) and the while outfit, the cute mushroom earrings and the overalls. So so cute.
I’m living for your smiles at the park 🥹
What book did you read here?
omg thank you!!!
@@gracenevitt I liked the first book but also didn’t really..
Hey Grace! I’ve found DND turns your phone into an excellent ipod when you want to disconnect from everything but still listen to music and honestly, just deleting any app that you find yourself doom scrolling or makes you feel not great in general. Oh, also turning off notifications in settings for apps. Good luck! I personally cannot stand social media anymore, we all need to know less about each other. I have instagram but spend less than an hour a week on the app and Pinterest only ❤
Loving the glasses! And the playlist, perfect sunshine songs IMO 💛💛💛
aw yay!! thank you! 💗 glad you like it hehe
Maybe this will be how I spend tomorrow :)
yesss do it!!
❤
Enjoyed this video and when do you post 🤔🙂
usually I post mondays and every other thursday!
Pick a day, Grace, or two or three, and we can have a “no phone day” challenge.
I’m a sahm with adhd, so I’m always overstimulated and understimulated all the time. So I definitely need to put my phone down more.
I wish Apple would make an iPodphone, that’s just music/audiobooks/podcasts and phone with Bluetooth, but if they make one you’re going to have to make this a podcast. lol
You’re a genius!! Such a good idea especially in the direction society is moving.
with the way apple marketing is going, it seems they're just trying to get these things to do more and more sadly...
@@gracenevitt I wish they’d listen.
I have a straight up soy allergy and I can handle soy sauce as long as it is good quality soy sauce because it's fermented.
oh interesting!!!
I know you want music so a flip phone is out but maybe only have social media apps on your iPad and delete all the apps off your phone. Having to download an app to be able to access it would definitely be a deterrent
exactly what I did!! (video about it on monday hehe)
@@gracenevitt I’m like a mind reader 😂😂
So I tried before to make my phone uninteresting, but I noticed I keep picking it up over and over again looking for some kind of stimulation, so instead now I decided to give myself reasons to pick it up. I use a food tracking app (FoodVisor), a mood tracking app, (daily bean), and a cycle tracking app (stardust) and then then podcasts, audiobooks, and books to read, and I only follow channels on UA-cam that encourage me in the direction I want to go; (clutterbug, minimalist mom, Madisun gray, Patrick Teahan, Dana K White, Margarita Nazarenco, and Good Inside).
Your rules included allowances for experiences, mine included app subscriptions that encourage me to keep moving forward towards my goals.
Thank you for sharing your slow day with us Grace 😌 This was so peaceful and helped bring my stress levels down. I’m sorry Instagram has you feeling that way. I force myself not to scroll on ig, I only read messages I get then close app immediately. Wishing you more slow and fulfilling days to come 🌿🌤️
