  • Gear Check!!! The DW 6000 Ultralight hardware pack is really "ULTRALIGHT". It comes with a hardware bag and is surprisingly stable. Have a look for yourself and let me know what you think about it. Cheers Simon

I have owned two sets of DW ultra light hardware.
The snare stand will not support a heavier snare drum. Both snare stands stripped out with the slightest over tightening and the won’t accommodate a 10 or 12” SD.
The cymbal stands are wobbly and won’t stand up in to windy out door conditions.
The hi hat stand is not even worth mentioning.
The Tama light weight stands are much better.

Great video. Just a tip; you can use a double pedal if you run the hi hat leg under the foot board of your slave pedal. The foot board won't hit the leg and you can get really great positioning that way. Cheers, J

Thomann's Drum Bash you can hang a 14 tom and 26 cymbal from it if you position correctly! 17lbs. Total for the set same as Dw very much sturdier. Also the diameter of the tubes can fit Tom arms or cymbal booms. I have the Yamaha 3point Tom cymbal bass mount in one of my crosstown bases with 2 tama Tom arms and a boom as my 3 connectors so it’s like a light weight multi-Tom-boom stand. If you have a friend at guitar center they are $250ish out the door approximately

What about the hi hat stand, no comment on that here. Does it feel inferior to say a 5000 series being so minimal/light weight??
