You should consider a digital scale. You say the full bag is very light I would have liked to know the weight. 9/10 Great job!

Longer boom would make it unstable. Have the small boom works fine

First, welcome back it's been awhile. Hope all is well as expected in these uncertain times.I have been using DW hardware for at least 20 years or more. Some of the best on the market.Have owned 9000,5000,and 6000 series. Its all very road worthy stuff for sure, not cheap but great hardware. If I was out working these days I'd be bringing out the 6000 series hardware,a crash, crash ride ,a set of hats and a four piece kit. That would be it for me.!!!

Yeah, DW has always put out very good stuff. I own some of the upper lawn stuff years ago and now that I have they’re lightweight offering I really couldn’t be happier. Definitely makes traveling around a lot easier even though none of us are really playing right now LOL.

Really like the cym stands. The hi-hat stand legs don't rotate to accommodate a dbl bass pedal tho. That's a big disappointment.

This looks really cool but I think I’m going to go with the Yamaha set because I prefer the tripod base design.

How would the cymbal stands hold up if you have a Tom attached to one? Are they strong enough and not wobble?

I would not suggest putting a time on the stands. The tubes are just too skinny and the stands are too light wait to hold anything of substantial weight I think. Best case scenario you might be able to get an 8 inch or 10 inch on there but I still would be skeptical of that.

I have used this hardware for almost 2 years. When using it with my mini kit, I do mount a 10"x7" tom on one of the cymbal stands and haven't had an issue. However, when setting up the stand I make sure one leg is directly under the drum and mount it after the cymbal is in place. I have had the wing nut that tightens the tube clamp on the HH stand strip but DW replaced it promptly.
