You sir are a genius. Having so much trouble installing my gate motor photocells. No instructions for them. From your video I now know I need a 4 core cable and I now know what NO and NC are for. Thank you very much for explaining. I will give it a go. I think it should work now. 👍
Thanks for the video and appriciate you going out of your way to provide this instructions. I have not been able to successfully configure these beams on the Centurion RDO, any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Common on the relay contacts refers to the terminal where the DC or AC comes in. The NO or NC contacts simply act as a switch. Power runs through the contacts and ground or negative is connected at the end of the device.
Hello, I just installed photocells to my sliding gate bot for some reason, I cant make it work opposite, now when I cross over photocells, gate doesnt stop closing, but when gete is opening and I cross over photocell, gate stops and start closing which I dont want, I want to make it that if I cross over photocell while gate is closing, it will stop and start opening.. what should I do?
@@ecologicaltime Thanks, there is many info and video’s on you tube for diy installations but i struggled to find video about what cable to use for what type of installation. Ripcord, comms, cabtyre, suffix ect. The online shops also not mentioning where that type of cable is used. Thanks for the reply. Any advice on the courtesy lights on the gate motor board? Cable, what type of light and voltage for courtesy lights?

Great video. Very helpful.
Question. Can you splice the positive and negative together at the motor and then put those splices in the terminals?

There are terminals on the motor board.
Explanations are very good, unfortunately the camera does not focus on the activity.

Hi, what type of cable is normally used for beams? Comms cable?
yes solid or stranded, copper is best if you can get it.

Any advice on the courtesy lights on the gate motor board? Cable, what type of light and voltage for courtesy lights?
thanks. Courtesy light running at supply voltage (230 / 110) should use surfix (shielded) cable.
What is the use running it to the motor circuit board? I will just tap it from the main supply with a day night switch/sensor separately.
