- Today we come across Tora the Fearless and she has a whopping 10K Bounty on her head! This is the third episode in the season 2 of my Kenshi series. What is Kenshi you ask? Kenshi is a game that is essentially The Sims if it had intense combat and a GIGANTIC open world! Kenshi recently got its official release after...12 YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT!
Since I used the arguably cheap mercenary exploit and got a ton of money from selling their gear + a ton of free gear im heavily considering starting over fresh and streaming a more hardcore series where I don't do any save loads, dont hire mercenaries, etc. Should I finish this current series or just start fresh in the next episode? www.strawpoll.me/17383641 Also should I use mods? you can fully repair a destroyed house with some building materials, it's way cheaper to buy one and repair it than buying a normal house.
And on Friendly fire: It is determined by the precision shooting skill stat. In order to train it, you need to keep accidentally hitting friends with you bolt. It is impossible to avoid it if you have a low precision shooting stat. unlike in M&B, It is not generally a good idea to have a massive archer party in kenshi.
Green is cheap because he has a really low precision shooting stat. Since his damage with his bow is massive, he is going to destroy your own teamates over and over before he actually becomes useful to the party.

yeah beak things run fast, yeah they deal 70 damage on each, but they attack super slow so anyone with a good blocking weapon can block every attack, and stil get hits on them, cuz they are technicaly high level you level up super fast, 1 man with a good weapon, a light armour so they can attack and block more often, can 1v1 them to gains loads of level, and a ranged dude can help and also get xp

ay trmplays, your weapons are nice and all, but you shouldn't really wield them yet. To properly wield a weapon you need to have at least double the amount of strength in comparison to the weight of the weapon
for example no one can wield this 23kg fragment axe because no one has 46 strength
not even Ruka has enough strength for the weapon she came with

It's good to equip the weapon anyway so that while you run your strength gets raised.
With attack X3 mod you don't need strength just massively outnumber a single enemy to stunlock them... Or get outnumbered 99% of the time and get rekt.
Hard labour uses strength mod is sorta necessary.

If you sell stuff to the Shinobi thiefs it gets rid of the stolen tag when you rebuy it from them. This allows you to make a few extra cats because you buy it from them at 50% and sell for 100% to other vendors

Perhaps you shouldn't bother with buying a house in the town and go for setting up your own base instead. With the whole food issue you could make some farms and just leave your laborers there.
Food is pretty hampering when you go large + 20 squad size. Honestly its a priority to feed yourself before setting up any other crafting abilities. If you get raided when you set up your base which is pretty common you can easily fall apart. Honestly I would have about 20k in savings as a safety net, incase you can't feed yourself and starve instead.
Honestly thats probably a bad idea, he may have a massive amount of recruits but there all of pretty low quality. He will most likely get smashed depending on the area.
He needs to stay in town and research.
I made my own town and the #1 problem with it was keeping up a sustainable source of food.
Investing in fishing is a must if you are going large squads or a army.
I like to buy a house at first to use as base and storage and research a ton of tech and when I'm good I start a base of my own. You can get a large house at the hub from pretty cheap, and just steal the building materials, or if you need to buy them, they are pretty cheap at that region too

Every time you say "KG" I lose a chromosome.
If a house is destroyed and for sale, you can purchase it for often half of the cost and repair it fully. Often times its recommended, since if you already have stores of building materials or you have a builder merchant in the same city you can make quite the bargain out of it. Building materials go for somewhere between 150-200 cats so if you have a guaranteed supply in the form of a merchant you can happily save your self some dosh.

Haha people passionate what they love hahah, this game is a single longterm bug since years and I consider to every one not to waste theyre time on it. I hav 2,4 k hours and lost 3 very big save states so I know what I'm talking about. The developers are lazy shiets who can't get anything right. They release minor bug fixes which don't even help and let the big issues like the pathfinding is going never to be solved. They are even talking about kenshi 2 and have theyre ideas for this bullshiet but leave kenshi bugged out and say they are proud of the Stade of the game? I'm shitting myself.
And how u play it is rly coward like. Can't even stand away from this boring ass cheaty stealing and puts 3 episodes each 20 minutes min full of trash. Fuck u, u suck bad rltrm or whatever ure suck name is

Right clickong on items has a variety of effects.
If it's something like a map, doing it will read it no matter what, unless you're in a trade screen, then you sell it i think.
Others will go like this:
Trade menu:quick sell, one per click
Normal inventory:Nothing.
Inventory+opened backpack:Transfers from inventory to bag.
The game's played mostly with the mouse, but if you didn't know, M brings up the map, and I brings up the inventory.
You probably have a hive prince in your party. The prince got kicked from the hive so he's not welcome there.
Ivar's don't get kicked out of a hive except for special occasions like beep and he was only kicked out for having a speech mannerism. Hivers are kind of like humanoid ants they share a hive mind in a sort of way if they are gone from the hive for long enough or The Queen Is Dead. in some aspects they stop being all the same in developed a sort of personality individualism. It's kind of strange but it's kind of a pheromone kind of thing
Or any hive for that matter. Not just princes.

Best time to steal in Kenshi is best between hour 00:30 and 05:30. Although shops close at 22:00, you will have the shopowners/guards still walk around before they get to bed. Personal experience from stealing also I apologize incase you don't like uhm tips like this.
I honestly prefer you not recruiting too many companions, it gets really cluttered and most of your companions are just weak and under equipped. Keep a max of 6 and level them up, it's much better than having a horde
This is good advice. Without mods, the combat system in Kenshi really only allows for 1v1 battles. Having more companions usually just means more getting cleaved by the AOE (unless you equip them all with xbows). Late game, 3-4 well-trained fighters can clear out entire cities with ease. Meanwhile, you can have 30 mediocre companions and they won't make a dent in a guarded city.
@@vv2955 Exactly, it only makes sense to recruit more people when you are trying to build your own city/base in late or mid game. I guess we can't blame him hahah, he is still used to the warband tactics. Quantity > Quality.
With the amount of people you have you might want to start a base, the most important part of a base is location. you want an area where you can sustain yourself with the fertility there so you can grow crops, you also want good iron, copper, and stone for manufacturing items and getting them cats. another thing you want to take in account is the enemies there, be it wildlife or bandits. there is no place without enemies, but you want enemies you can handle with a defensive party or people manning turrets (skeletons are better because they dont require food and if they are manning turrets they won't get hurt and cost cats to repair).
one thing you might want want to consider is finding some training dummies to increase the skills over your members by just a bit, increasing your average stats is better than just mobbing enemies with as many people as possible as some enemies have cleave attacks which hit multiple people and can wipe your entire squad. When your ranged peeps are hitting your melee peeps it's because your ranged guys have a skill called "precision shooting" which increases the chance of not hitting an ally but since all of your archers are noobs they don't have points in that skill, i think the only way for you to train that skill is for them to hit friendlies which should be fine because you can just heal them after.
also i think you can only recruit prisoners and animals with certain mods and not in vanilla game so that guy wasn't lying, just misinformed.

Its a little hard watching you recruit so many people cause even though it makes you a lot stronger, you're gonna get slowed down a lot buy how much money you will have to spend on food. Maybe try setting up a farm?

The npcs you met in this playthrough were amazing. All i ever seem to get are 1 point farmers.

Hitting your own team with crossbows can be dangerous with the bigger harder hitting ones. But it's also the only way to train Precision Shooting Skill. You need that skill to reach around 60 to not hit your own team anymore. And shooting your own team by mistake also train toughness of the ones being hit. So it's probably best to use Toothpicks (smallest) crossbow on your trainee range units until they get better with their Crossbow and Precision Shooting.

Yo trm. If you go to one of the locations of black desert city. There’s a reprogramming workshop where it lets you have skeletons for allies. There mindless drones if you have a girl with them I think because in my play through. My skeletons were being followed by a girl who is called the “master.” Keep looking in a circle around black dessert city and keep an eye out for the reprogramming center. You’ll find a useful ally there, although they do have a downside.
You should focus on training your current characters instead of recruiting new ones, numbers mean nothing if their stats are only around 10. They will get destroyed with cleave attack type. At least get a group of your characters get to 30-40 atk/def.
When pathing gets screwed up you can do Crtl+Shift+F11 to fix messed up building pathing

Shek are your best bet for warriors, greenlanders for most labor and farming, hive workers are good too but if you want a good scientist you'll have to look hard for a hive prince, they're squishy as hell but make for good thieves and scientists. Skeletons can be used for most things, they're just expensive to maintain because of the need for repair kits instead of medical supplies.
It was nice serie at start but I think for now I'll stop watching because you spoil the game, at least for me. Maybe titles like "how to abuse game, it's broken" (from the last episode) are clickbaity enough for someone but as I'm playing this game too I really don't want to know these things. I mean it's probably not series for me.
You can check how much time you have on bodyguard contract by checking the "factions" menu. It will also have a timer for upcoming events for your outpost, when you have one.
next time if you gonna have problems with passing through gates (or if you gonna build your base you might get a bug where anyone could go through your walls) press shift + f12 and rebuild your navmesh

Ctrl+Shift+F11 fixes building data which will probably fix your glitch when trying to enter the town. Not a troll
skeleton companions are fucking amazing, they can repair themselves, and dont need time to heal naturally. they also dont need food, and they dont lose limbs.
Just a tip but if you buy splint kits for your medic and have shift held down when you are right clicking an ally to splint them, it will put them on an automatic splinting mode. Good if you are constantly dealing with being slow because of leg damage :)
yes use this series until u get bored of it,
the edit is great and different from other kenshi content,
use this series as loose one to see the world and how it changes that is when you kill /kidnap/ bounty hunt some faction boss and the city will be run over by some other faction, build relations, build a base yourself to prompt npc raids to your base, not just buy a house in some other faction town... fight more lose a limb and find it's replacement, sell some slaves and drugs or free some...
notice you r a crew of nomads
for your next series use mods, for now play the base game, some very cool popular mods are reactive world and minor factions extended those are for 2nd runs of the game...
then there are variety and quality of life mods, ie more items, more food more drugs, gear, weapons.... and the slavers mod that people keep referencing you can "recruit from a cage"
The ruined longhouse would be the same size as the normal ones, you'd just have to repair it which costs a couple of building materials, definitely a cheaper option
Be on the lookout for random banter between your people and random characters in general, sometimes you'll find something funny, probably.
idk about other mechanical creatures, but iron spiders remain hostile even if you repair them, so that's probably why he attacked you even after repairing him

I don't see the real point in starting fresh, if anything, you got mid tier weaponry and armor which is in the lower end. Just don't do another similar exploit and that should be enough.

@trmplays Please use the dark UI mod. It is vastly better than the default UI. I really hate looking at the vanilla one after i saw the dark one.
dont worry about the cheese. theres alot better ways to make money and gear and those are no ¨exploits¨ so, also game is superhard and gaint learning curve so cheesing it is fine. personally i think it adds alot of fun elements to the game and series.
I love that you are trying out new games, your mount and blade series made me buy the game on steam and i wondered how the hell i have never seen that game before. and now its the same with kenshi. It looks really fun and i might buy it. Don't be afraid to try out new games.
Maybe u can continue this playthrough and use all that dirty money to build your own settlement and try out that part of the game? Otherwise up to you if u wanna start fresh with stricter rules on urself :D
I would like to see the series completed, once you get a few episodes in and have a better understanding of the game you can make a modded series that adds some new elements. You can add mods directly to your current game if you wanted to, though some good mods won't allow you to do so.
Hey tip here, buy Hashish in the swamp and sell it in bot tech hunter cities in the east and north east in the region called bonefield, it is a 400% profit each.
I don't know if you know this but you can steal shit from the end-game npc that sells armour and there is no consequences for it,at least when i do it here isn't
Don't know if anyone answered this yet or not, but the gate to Squim is bugged. You have to either close it and wait for the guards to open it again or go through the other one.
if you haven't already seen it, when you are choosing your initial world options, you can set whether or not randos can loot your stuff if you are down on the ground.
You can easily repair broken buildings so they are worth it 100% of the time.
Recruting everything u see without really knowing what to do is kinda not the smart way to go, gon have alotta food issues for sure.
The pathing can easily be fix press ctrl+shift+f11 then it will fix all the pathfinding and meshes on the map

If you want to check how longer they stay with you, go to the maps then click on fac and there should be a pop-up on the right
You should set up in the hub, build one of the houses up. There's lots of dust bandits around to train on and a shinobi thieves tower there too to protect you if you join them
if you do base building you can imprison wounded enemies and make them slaves or part of your team
If you put food in backpack your people will grab food from it in their own.
The reason ur party is starving is because humans cant eat raw 🍖, u have to cook it with a campfire
Why buy a house ? Start a colony man. Easy cheap and you can start training your people.
